Tempers frayed in the closing stages and the French side finished with 10 men after Joao Neves was sent off for pulling the hair of Chelsea's Marc Cucurella.
Further scuffles then broke out after the game as personnel from both benches entered the field.
The incident involving Pedro, one of the Chelsea goalscorers, and Enrique appeared the most serious but neither party shared much detail on what occurred.
'I don't need to talk about them,' said Pedro. 'Everyone wants to win the game and, in the end, I think they lost their heads.
'But this is football. This has happened. Now we need to enjoy it because we won the tournament, that's it.
'I don't want to talk too much about them because you know how it works. Football is this.'

For his part, Enrique said he was trying to separate players and prevent a heated situation from becoming worse.
Pedro, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi were all involved in a confrontation before Enrique interjected. He appeared to raise an arm and Pedro fell down amid the melee.
Enrique said: 'I have no problem expressing my feelings at the end of the game in a high level of pressure. It's very stressful for all of us. It is going to be impossible to avoid that.
'Everybody was involved. It was not what was best and the end result of the pressure of the match.
'I have seen (Chelsea manager Enzo) Maresca. I saw he had pushed others and we had to separate all the players and I do not know where that pressure came from.
'But this is a situation we must all avoid, that goes without saying. My intention was to separate the footballers so the situation didn't become worse.'

Chelsea make £80m England star top transfer target as spending continue
Chelsea are looking to spend big again this summer as they identify Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers as their top transfer target. The Blues have already made a string of big signings this summer, with Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Estevao all arriving. Boosted by their money-spinning Club World Cup triumph, Chelsea are not finished in the transfer market just yet and are eyeing up a move for Rogers. The Sun report that the 22-year-old is now top of the shopping list at Stamford Bridge, although he will be an expensive purchase if they can pull it off. Villa do not want to let the midfielder go and he has been valued at a huge £80m, reflecting his importance to Unai Emery's side. However, the Villains are in a perilous situation when it comes to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and are expected to make sales this summer. They do not want Rogers to be one of the outgoings, but if a massive bid comes in then they will have to consider it. Other Villa stars including Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Martinez, Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey have all been linked with exits this summer, but deals are yet to be done. Emery also wants to bring in signings this summer, with the only new arrivals so far being teenagers Yasin Ozcan and Zepiqueno Redmond from Kasimpasa and Feyenoord respectively, and veteran goalkeeper Marco Bizot from Brest. Villa are keen on bringing in a new striker and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson is on their list of targets, given the Blues have brought in plenty of competition for the Senegal international over the summer. Having been Enzo Maresca's only real option up front for much of last season, the Blues now have Pedro and Delap, with Jackson seemingly slipping down the pecking order. Emery worked with the 24-year-old and would like to reunite with him at Villa Park if a deal can be done. Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Jackson, who has scored 30 goals in his two seasons at Chelsea. A swap deal including Alejandro Garnacho has been mooted by The i paper, with the Argentina international on the chopping block at Old Trafford and looking for a move. There is interest in Garnacho from Italy and Saudi Arabia, but he reportedly wants to stay in the Premier League, making Chelsea one of the few viable options for the winger. More Trending The 21-year-old is one of a number of players Manchester United are trying to offload as they look to rebuild their squad under Ruben Amorim. Juventus are interested in taking both Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho off the Red Devils' hands, while Antony and Tyrell Malacia are also up for sale. Liverpool close on Hugo Ekitike transfer as Newcastle pushed aside after Alexander Isak threat
Both Liverpool and Newcastle have been interested in Hugo Ekitike, but the Eintracht Frankfurt striker wants to move to Anfield and could cost the Reds more than £70million - with Newcastle having been unwilling to deal for Alexander Isak Liverpool are in pole position to sign Hugo Ekitike with the player preferring a move to Anfield over Newcastle. The Reds will have to submit an offer of more than £70m as Eintracht Frankfurt rejected an offer from Newcastle for that sum earlier this week. But Liverpool have told the Bundesliga club that they are ready to bid for the player. Ekitike, 23, is now understood to be favouring a move to Anfield and talks could now intensify when Liverpool submit a bid. The Reds approached Frankfurt on Wednesday to register their interest and later informed the club they are ready to bid. They also have an interest in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. But they would need to smash the British transfer record to land him and the Magpies are not willing to sell. The Reds are scouring the market for a world-class No 9. Isak, 25, could cost £120m as Liverpool consider spending big with Ekitike set to be over £70m. The Reds currently believe that the Magpies will not sell their star striker this summer - leaving Liverpool to muscle in on a long-time Magpies target. As such, Ekitike has jumped to the front of the queue on Merseyside, with Frankfurt ready to part ways if their valuation of the France striker is met. Despite qualifying for the Champions League, the German club know that selling now will offer them the maximum they can get for the ex-PSG star, and allow them to reinvest. Liverpool want a new front man with Darwin Nunez expected to leave this summer if suitors can be found. Bayern Munich are also expected to bid again for Luis Diaz after a £58.6m bid was rejected by the Reds this week. Liverpool have spent big this summer with the signing of Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial £100m rising to £116m, while they also paid the German side £29m for Jeremie Frimpong. They've shelled out £40m to land Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and the £30m deal for keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia was agreed last summer. Newcastle meanwhile are desperate to add another striker to partner Isak and having learned that Ekitike wants a move to Merseyside are targeting Brentford's Yoann Wissa. The Bees are determined to keep their centre-forward however on the back of a 19-goal Premier League season last term and particularly with Bryan Mbeumo wanting to join Manchester United - having also decided against a move to Merseyside.

Liverpool are handed huge boost in pursuit of Huko Ekitike as Newcastle 'drop out of the race' for £85m star
Newcastle have reportedly pulled out of the race for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike in a major boost for Liverpool. Eddie Howe 's side had an €80million (£69.4m) bid for the 23-year-old rejected earlier this week, with Frankfurt holding out for £86million for the French forward. Talks had been ongoing since another Newcastle target, Joao Pedro, joined Chelsea, and further meetings were held on Monday in Austria where they had arrived for pre-season training. Newcastle would have had to smash their transfer record to complete a move but have now left talks for the French star, with the deal considered off, according to Fabrizio Romano. They are now focusing on other targets, including Yoane Wissa, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League. It spells good news for Liverpool, who are now 'advancing' in their approach. The Magpies completed a £55m deal for Anthony Elanga last week, their first major signing of the window More to follow.
