Roma have secured the long-term future of two important Primavera players.
'AS Roma are delighted to announce that Mattia Mannini and Alessandro Romano have extended their contracts,' reads the official announcement.
'The two 18-year-olds are important parts of the current Giallorossi Primavera side led by Gianluca Falsini as well as the future of AS Roma's first team. What's more, they are both members of their countries' U-19 sides – Mannini for Italy and Romano for Switzerland.
The two youngsters have already tasted first team action. Mattia Mannini made his Roma debut in their Europa League match against Sheriff Tiraspol at the Stadio Olimpico during the 2023-24 season, while Alessandro Romano received his first call-up to the senior side for Roma's away game against Bologna earlier on this campaign.
Mannini has penned a three-year extension while Romano's contract has been prolonged by two years. The club have the option of increasing both of the players' contracts by a further season.'
