Former NFL LB Bryan Braman fights rare form of brain cancer
Via ESPN.com, a GoFundMe page has been created to assist Braman with expenses arising from his treatment. As of this posted, more than $53,000 has been raised. Former teammate J.J. Watt has given $10,000, and other former teammates have contributed.

Braman and Watt joined the Texans in the year — 2011. Braman was undrafted, but he made the team and remained in Houston for three seasons.
He played the next four years with the Eagles. Braman capped his NFL career with a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
En route to the championship, Braman blocked a punt in the divisional round win over the Falcons.
Braman, who appeared in 97 career regular-season games, contributed mainly on special teams. One of his more memorable moments came in the final game of his rookie season, when he lost his helmet and still made the tackle on a punt return.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had one of the busiest and most puzzling offseasons in their franchise history. Wright says he wouldn't have traded for DK Metcalf. He would have traded wide receiver George Pickens, however, He also would have traded away edge defender T.J. Watt, and he would not have signed Mason Rudolph. Wright said he would have run that team out with Rudolph for 2025 and force a hard reset of the team in 2026 with multiple first-round picks. We've speculated that Tomlin wouldn't be willing to do a hard reset with this team for feat of damaging his reputation. This offseason feels like that is the case. The best part about all this specualtion is, if the Steelers fall flat even after all these big swings, the team might still have to do that hard reset but won't have the cap space or draft capital to pull it off.

Diamondbacks activate outfielder Corbin Carroll from injured list
PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks activated outfielder Corbin Carroll from the 10-day injured list before Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Carroll, sidelined since June 18 with a chip fracture in his left wrist, returned to his customary leadoff spot and was starting in right field against the Royals. He was injured when he was hit by a pitch thrown by Toronto's Justin Bruhl. Carroll said before Saturday's game that his wrist felt better the last couple of days and he played in a minor league game on Friday in the Arizona Complex League to test it out. The 2023 National League Rookie of the Year has 20 home runs, a major league leading nine triples and a .255 batting average this season.
