Sophie Cunningham Twerking Gone Viral, Caitlin Clark Rejects Fan Request
The Indiana Fever made history on the court, but it was Sophie Cunningham who lit up the internet.

Following the Fever's stunning 74–59 Commissioner's Cup victory over the Minnesota Lynx, Cunningham celebrated the franchise's first Cup title with a move no one saw coming. As her teammates posed with the trophy and popped champagne, Cunningham turned toward the locker room camera, dropped into a twerk, and instantly set social media ablaze.
The moment lasted mere seconds. But in the modern sports world, that's more than enough to go viral.
Yet amid the noise, Cunningham's moment sparked a surge of interest in the Fever, and that may be the most important point of all. In a league that still fights for media attention, this viral moment kept the spotlight firmly on Indiana's night of triumph.

And it wasn't just Cunningham who had fans talking. Her postgame Instagram carousel, a behind-the-scenes blend of Fever travel, court highlights, and locker room laughs, drew major reactions from teammates Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull.
Yet the real social media moment came when a fan begged Clark in the comments: 'Come on CC, shake it!'
Clark's response? Blunt and honest: 'I don't think you guys want that.'
A witty rejection that instantly became its meme, reinforcing Clark's cool confidence even from the sidelines.
Clark has missed the Fever's last three games with a groin strain, but her absence didn't slow Indiana down. The Fever erased a 13-point deficit in the Commissioner's Cup Final behind a dominant 18–0 run in the second quarter.

Natasha Howard was named the unanimous Cup MVP, finishing with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and a commanding defensive performance against Lynx star Napheesa Collier. Aliyah Boston added a double-double, while Cunningham dropped 13 points, including a game-sealing three in the fourth quarter.
The Fever's win proved they're more than just the Caitlin Clark show. They're deep, resilient, and capable of rising under pressure. And Sophie Cunningham? She's now the unofficial hype queen of a team brimming with confidence.
While Commissioner's Cup wins don't count toward regular season standings, they carry real weight in pride and prize money. The Fever's $500,000 win shows a rising powerhouse, and Cunningham's postgame twerk, for better or worse, ensured the moment wasn't forgotten.
As for Caitlin Clark, her focus remains on getting healthy. But between her playful jabs on Instagram and the Fever's statement win without her, Indiana fans suddenly find themselves with something rare: swagger, depth, and momentum.

In 2025, the Fever aren't just competing. They're vibing and dancing, all the way to relevance.

Bryson DeChambeau climbs into top 10 at British Open, all but locking up Ryder Cup spot
PORTRUSH, Northern Ireland – Bryson DeChambeau fired a final-round 64 at Royal Portrush for a remarkable comeback from his birdie-less opening round of 78. He recorded a remarkable 19 birdies over the final three days and rallied for a top-10 finish at the 2025 British Open. It all but locked up his spot on the 12-man U.S. Ryder Cup team, which will face Team Europe and attempt to win back the Cup in late September. DeChambeau, who was on the winning U.S. side in 2021 at Whistling Straits but left off the team that got routed in Rome in 2023, said he can't wait for Bethpage Back. 'I hope I can bring a lot of energy and a tsunami of a crowd that's going to be rooting for Team USA,' he said. DeChambeau still has some LIV Golf events ahead of the Ryder Cup, including this coming week in London, but he's already thinking about the Ryder Cup. Asked if he spent any time with U.S. Captain Keegan Bradley this week, he said, 'I talked with him briefly, and then he put something in our lockers that was pretty inspirational.' He declined to share what exactly Bradley left in his locker, but J.J. Spaun mentioned that he drew inspiration from something Bradley put in his locker at the U.S. Open. Speaking on the Subpar Podcast, Spaun said, 'Keegan put like a printed out picture of the U.S. Ryder Cup bag with my name on it — and he did it to all the other guys that could potentially make the team at Oakmont — and he put like, 'Bring you ego.' Stuck it in my locker and every time I opened my locker, I saw it. Every day. Open locker. See it there. It was just one of those things that kept kind of being pinged into my brain that was like, 'alright, Ryder Cup. Let's go. Bring your ego.' I'm not an egotistcal person, but I think that more tapped into my self-belief.' That's a tactic that Bradley, a diehard New England Patriots fans, learned from the team's former football coach, the legendary Bill Belichick. DeChambeau called what Bradley did at the British Open "personal," but added, 'It meant a lot.' The U.S. has lost eight of the last 10 Ryder Cups. 'This year's no joke,' DeChambeau said. 'We're tired of it. We're tired of losing.'
