The Australian-born actor, 55, gained a cult following starring as Lincoln Burrows in the long-running Fox crime drama.
The show ended in 2017 after five seasons and a standalone film, but whispers of a sixth season have kept fans on edge.
Dominic took to Instagram this week, looking markedly different from his Prison Break days.
The actor was sporting a neatly trimmed salt-and-pepper beard, while his trademark buzzcut had also been swapped for a neatly cropped style.

Wearing a white tank top for the in-car selfie, Dominic's chiselled and heavily inked arms were on full display.
Captioning the image, Dominic revealed that fans could stop holding their breath, as a new Prison Break series was 'not happening'.
'I mean, I get it, it was a sick show, but I've really moved on. It's not happening,' Dominic said.
Continuing, Dominic said that he was not interested in the past, adding: 'The excitement of the possibilities for me are far greater than the past. I've done, it ladies and gents.
'I'm doing what I wanna do, not what people think I should do, nor what I can do with my eyes closed. That's a boring way [of] moving forward professionally and in life, I believe. Uncertainty is far more appealing.'
The post was met with a flurry of comments from fans, with many agreeing with the star that it was time for everyone to 'move on'.
'Some fans can't let go of the show after it's been over after Season 5. Dominic is great in his other roles he has done in movies and TV,' one follower offered.
Another offered: 'Damn, can y'all leave him alone? Y'all been hounding with prison break for decades now. Let them live in peace!!!'
A third summed up the sentiment of many, commenting: 'True fans should know/understand to move on… just rewatch the entire series for the 10th time like me and call it a day.'
After Prison Break ended, Fox confirmed that the cult-hit would return for a sixth season in January, 2018. However, a year later they announced they had no plans to revive the hit series.
In 2020, Wentworth Miller also admitted that he was done with the series.
'I'm out. Of PB. Officially,' he wrote on Instagram.
'Not [because] of static on social media. I just don't want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told).'
'If you're hot and bothered [because] you fell in love with a fictional straight man played by a real gay one… That's your work.'
Since saying goodbye to Lincoln Burrows in 2017, Dominic has racked up quite a few credits, including starring as Mick Rory/Heatwave across numerous DC Universe shows such as Arrow, Batwoman, and DC's Legends Of Tomorrow.
He is also set to rejoin his Prison Break co-star, Wentworth Miller, in the upcoming Universal drama Snatchback.
Dominic tied the knot with Tish Cyrus back in 2023, in a romantic ceremony following her divorce from her husband of 28 years, Billy Ray.

Channel Ten 's new program 10 News+ has dived even further in the ratings after a disappointing first week. The hard-hitting current affairs series, hosted by former Channel Seven reporters Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace, launched last week a national average audience of just 291,000. Those figures have only gotten worse, dropping to 244,000 by Tuesday and sliding further still to 205,000 by mid week. Thursday's ratings keep skidding into oblivious, with just 159,000 national viewers tuning in. On Friday, the situation was decidedly grim, with only 152,000 viewers switching on the in-depth news program. The 'main' polyamorous girlfriend of Travers 'Candyman' Beynon has quietly split from the tobacco tycoon, it can be revealed - as he vanishes from social media. Nisha Downes moved into the sprawling 'Candy Shop Mansion' home of married Mr Beynon - who dubbed himself the Candyman due to his gaudy, Instagram-focused lifestyle - on Queensland 's sunny Gold Coast in 2015. Now, 29, Nisha confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that she has traded in her old life of wild parties, designer shopping sprees and sex for a more conventional relationship and way of living. 'I was 19 when I moved in (to his 'Candy Shop Mansion') and when I turned 27 I wondered if [the relationship] was what I really wanted,' she admitted. 'I started thinking about my life and how long did I really want to do this for. Stuff like, 'if we did have kids would I be comfortable in that dynamic, forever?'.' This December marks three years since she farewelled the gaudy home and opulent estate in Helensvale for 'a new life'. 'Nothing hectic happened… in the end,' she said. 'I just felt being with one person would be a bit more intimate.' Still living on the Gold Coast, Nisha has traded in her string bikini for corporate attire - working as a development manager in the construction industry. Unearthed footage of her mansion 'audition' 11 years ago shows Downes, then 19, meeting Beynon and his wife for the first time, admitting she 'stalks' his social media pages and 'loves to party'. Later in the video, Ms Downes revealed that she was 'a bit obsessed' with the 47-year-old. She admits she sometimes got a bit jealous of other women in the house, including Mr Beynon's wife of a decade, Taesha. 'I respect that Taesha is Travers' wife and she respects that I'm his girlfriend,' she says. 'Looking at him, I'm like, it's so crazy to think that's my boyfriend. 'My mum was definitely concerned. She did call me and tell me she didn't want me to move in but I was just like, 'Well, you can come and see what it's all about, meet Trav and Taesha so you're more comfortable with it'. 'Then mum came up with her husband and mum's just obsessed with him, and she can see me now for months after living in Melbourne. 'I'm healthy and happy. I look better than I have before.' For more than a decade, Beynon's 'Candy Shop Mansion' has been the talk of the Gold Coast with its annual parties. Until the pandemic, he regularly hosted hundreds of guests at a time. There was the odd incident. In 2015, fireworks set off for his annual shindig sparked a brush fire across the canal, which was witnessed by a Daily Mail Australia reporter who attended the party. And in 2018, Beynon was slapped with a $13,000 council fine after complaints about a giant topless Virgin Mary statue. The flamboyant businessman certainly was not shy about sharing glimpses of his lavish lifestyle on social media with his millions of followers on social media - including stunt photos of naked women lying down covered in sushi. But Beynon has since stepped back from posting. He last shared a public update to Facebook back in April 2023, while his last TikTok post occurred in August 2019. It's apparently a similar story for the Beynon family tobacco empire, with the main FreeChoice Tobacco site also currently offline. While its franchise stores are still operating, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported that FreeChoice vacated its Gold Coast head office in February, with the space, owned by one of Beynon's companies, now leased to a new business. It comes amid what appears to be a period of upheaval for Beynon with the playboy recently having another crack at offloading his Candyland mansion. Beynon first listed the 14-bedroom canal-side property back in 2023 and, at one stage, it had an eye-watering $25million price tag attached. The Gold Coast Bulletin reported in May that Beynon had enlisted another agent to give the property the push it needs to get it over the line. He had engaged the services of agents Ivy Wu and Isaac Kim from Ivy Realty to run an expression of interest campaign for the lavish property. Travers originally purchased the home, located in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Helensvale, in 2010. He later snapped up neighbouring land, effectively tripling the footprint of the compound. The property sits on a substantial 1.4 acres with 175m of private water frontage. The house itself is set across an expansive 2,230 square-metre floorplan and boasts mosaic murals and hand-painted frescos.
