OnePlus had a big day today. Along with the Nord 5, Nord CE5, Watch 3 (43 mm), and Buds 4, the company also unveiled the entry-level OnePlus Pad Lite.
This comes with an 11-inch 1920x1200 LCD screen with 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 500-nit peak brightness, the MediaTek Helio G100 SoC at the helm, quad speakers, a 5 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, and a 9,340 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in its Wi-Fi-only iteration, and 8GB of RAM plus the same 128GB of storage if you opt for the LTE-capable model. The tablet is only offered in one colorway, called Aero Blue.
You can currently pre-order one for £169 in the UK for the Wi-Fi-only version, and the post-pre-order price seems to be £199. If you pre-order, you're getting an 80W charger for free. Over in the Eurozone, the pre-order price is €199, while the normal price is €229. Unfortunately, no shipping date is mentioned.

The Motorola Razr (2024) remains a solid choice for flip phone enthusiasts at $200 off

Flip phones are great — they fit easily into pockets and are fun to interact with. And when they're on sale, they're even more exciting. If you've been on the fence, now's the perfect time to jump in: Amazon is offering a generous $200 discount on the Motorola Razr (2024). $200 off (29%) Motorola's 2024-released mid-range flip phone, the Razr (2024) still holds its own. With a gorgeous design, great everyday performance, and two beautiful displays, it's a top pick for many. And now, the device sells for $200 off at Amazon, making it even more attractive. Buy at Amazon Sure, this isn't the first time the discount has popped up, but that doesn't make it any less impressive. After all, who wouldn't want to get a ~$700 phone for less than $500? Better yet, Amazon is spreading the price cut across multiple colors, making it even more attractive. But what's so awesome about this Android phone, besides the hefty price cut? Firstly, it features a beautiful 3.6-inch cover screen and a 6.9-inch main display, offering vibrant colors and a great visual experience. Still, since it's a "mid-range foldable", the device supports a 90Hz refresh rate on its cover screen and up to 120Hz on the main panel, so keep that in mind. Performance-wise, the handset delivers a fantastic everyday experience. Apps launch quickly, and day-to-day performance feels snappy. Still, as you can see from our Motorola Razr (2024) review, its MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor doesn't exactly shine on the benchmark tests. The good news is that you get pretty good-looking photos from this fella. It packs a 50MP main sensor, delivering great dynamics and vibrant colors. That said, there's some oversharpening in some settings that may make your photos look a bit less natural. Battery life is another strong point. Thanks to a 4,200mAh battery, it can keep going for over 18 hours of nonstop browsing—or more than 10 hours of continuous streaming. At the end of the day, the 2024 flip phone might not be your primary choice now that the Razr (2025) is here. However, this buddy is going for about $600 right now. So, if you're after a solid flip experience without overspending, now's your chance to save $200 on the Razr (2024) at Amazon. OnePlus Pad 3 review

OnePlus built its name by offering flagship performance that undercut its key competitors and the OnePlus Pad 3 is no exception. As a sequel to last year's OnePlus Pad 2, it goes all out on the hardware front with an even larger display, the latest flagship Qualcomm chipset and a higher capacity battery. That's all achieved in a thinner aluminum body, which now measures just 6mm, and OnePlus also added an updated eight-speaker setup. OnePlus Pad 3 is built around 13.2-inch LTPS LCD with 2,400 x 3,392px resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. You also get support for the optional OnePlus Stylo 2 pen. Pad 3 is part of a rare breed of flagship Android tablets sporting the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. There aren't that many slates out there that can claim they offer the very best chipset, and it should be fully unleashed in this large form factor. The cameras remain unchanged from the previous generation with an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP main shooter with 4K video recording on the back. We're glad that OnePlus went with a less obtrusive look this time around and opted for a more discreet bump in the corner as opposed to the previous OnePlus Pads and their larger circular cutouts. There's a total of 8 speakers onboard the Pad 3. As for connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, but there's no GPS or cellular connectivity yet again. OnePlus Pad 3 comes with an upgraded 12,140mAh battery, which is a nice boost over its predecessor. The charging support is also updated and now supports up to 80W speeds. You get the usual slew of features, including Circle to Search, as well as translation, summary, writing, and speaker assistant. One thing that makes the Pad 3 stand out from other Android slates is its ability to remotely control Mac and Windows machines via the O+ Connect app. You can find more details in the software section. Unboxing the OnePlus Pad 3 OnePlus Pad 3 arrives in a premium white box with the usual OnePlus red accents on the inside. The tablet greets you head-on as you lift up the lid, while the bottom compartment holds the signature red and white OnePlus USB-A to C cable. We also received the optional Smart Keyboard, which is an extra purchase. At the time of writing, OnePlus is giving away the Stylo 2 and the Folio case with all OnePlus Pad 3 purchases. Page 2

Deals: Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Honor Magic7 Pro get price cuts, whole Poco F7 series gets discounted

This week we have some camera titans from Xiaomi and Honor, discounted Google Pixels, Poco F7 phones for excellent performance on the cheap and a Galaxy S25+ deal that may be better than what Samsung UK offers. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is one of the best camera phones of the year with its 50MP 1'-type main sensor, 50MP 3x/70mm telephoto plus a 200MP 4.3x/100mm second telephoto module and a 50MP ultra-wide. It has always been pretty pricey, though. This is the cool-looking Silver Chrome color, by the way. Xiaomi 15 Ultra £295 off Read our review 16/512GB - £1,104 at Amazon UK The Honor Magic7 Pro is cheaper, but still packs quite a punch. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite like the Xiaomi. The main 50MP camera has a smaller but still large 1/1.3' sensor. There is only one telephoto module on board, but it's a 200MP 3x/72mm camera. And there's the 50MP ultra-wide too. The Honor has the bigger battery too, 5,850mAh vs. 5,410mAh for the global models, with comparable charging (100W wired, 80W wireless vs. 90W wired, 80W wireless). Honor Magic7 Pro £250 off Read our review 12/512GB - £850 at Amazon UK A couple of weeks ago, we looked at Pixel discounts and they are still live. The Google Pixel 9 is up to £300 off, which makes it as cheap as it has ever been. But the more capable Google Pixel 9 Pro isn't far off with a solid discount of its own. Check out our detailed head-to-head comparison for a closer look at how these two stack up. Unfortunately, Pro models with more than 128GB storage seem to be out of stock. You can try your luck at the Google online store, but at the moment of writing that doesn't have any stock either. If you like high-end Snapdragons on the cheap, the Poco F7 family is the place to go. The vanilla Poco F7 offers a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 for just £330 at the moment. It is paired with a large 6.83' 12-bit 1280p+ display with 3,200 nits peak brightness and a huge 6,500mAh battery. However, the camera is pretty basic. The Poco F7 Pro upgrades you to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (no 's') for just £50 more. Its display is smaller at 6.67', but it has a higher resolution of 1440p+. The battery is pretty big too at 6,000mAh. Our Poco F7 vs. F7 Pro article has more details. Then there's the Poco F7 Ultra – it's pricey for a Poco F, but this is as close to a proper flagship as the series has ever gotten. And it's hard to find a Snapdragon 8 Elite at just over £500 anywhere else. The 5,300mAh battery is on the small side, but it has fast wired (120W) and wireless (50W) charging. The camera has a 50MP 1/1.55' sensor, there is a telephoto module too, 50MP 2.5x/60mm, and a 32MP ultra-wide. Not amazing, but better than any previous Poco F. Here's how it compares with the F7 Pro. Another branch of the Xiaomi family tree has the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. It is equipped with a 200MP main camera, but that's where most of the budget went – the ultra-wide has only an 8MP sensor. To be fair, we're looking at something that's quite a bit cheaper than even the vanilla Poco F7 and it offers a great quality 6.67' display for the class (1220p+, 12-bit, Dolby Vision, 3,000 nits with GG Victus 2). The 5,110mAh battery is on the small side, but since this is the Pro+ model, you get 120W wired-only fast charging. If you are looking at a Samsung Galaxy S25 model, check out the Samsung UK offer, which gives you a free Galaxy Watch7, plus a few other perks like 6 months of Google AI Pro (with 2TB cloud storage) for free. However, the base discounts are pretty small – e.g. the S25 and S25+ are only £100 off. Sure, the free Watch7 adds value and you get a minimum of £50 if you trade in an old phone. Still, the S25+ starts at £900. You can dodge the hassle and get the Galaxy S25+ for £700 after a £200 discount and additional £100 off at checkout from Amazon. No freebies, but a Watch7 may not be to your taste, anyway. The Samsung Galaxy S25 starts at £700 in Samsung's offer and if you want the small flagship, you should probably take it. Amazon UK has it cheaper at £650, but without the extra £100 at checkout, we think we'd rather pay £50 more and get the free watch. That £50 difference disappears with the guaranteed £50 trade-in value, anyway, so check your drawers for an old, forgotten smartphone. PS. If you want a Samsung foldable instead, the Buy and Try program we wrote about last week is still active (it ends August 19). We may get a commission from qualifying sales.
