Man who knocked woman out with chair in Ibiza holiday brawl is football star
Oldham footballer Kian Harratt has been identified as the man who threw a chair during a brawl at an Ibiza hotel, with a woman being hit in the viral footage
Oldham Athletic footballer Kian Harratt has been identified as the man who threw a chair at a woman during a wild Ibiza poolside brawl.
The 23-year-old League Two striker is seen throwing the item in the direction of a middle-aged woman, who was trying to break up a brawl between two groups of holidaymakers. After being hit, the woman collapses to the ground holding her face as Harratt leaves the view of the camera - with the footage going viral on social media.
Another chair was also thrown which resulted in another person falling into the pool. Brandon Watkins from Nuneaton, who was one of the lads confronted by Harratt's group at the Marco Polo Hotel in San Antonio, described the encounter in a post on Facebook.
He wrote: "Five lads came to our hotel being nobs around the pool splashing people throwing balls at women and one lad says 'what are you looking at' so he approaches me and I drop him… they then start throwing chairs because they couldn't fight and everyone knows how slippy it is round a pool so stopping chairs hitting us I slip in the pool and that's what went viral.
"If they let me get back out the pool or got in with me then they would have been slapped again but they didn't they got kicked out …. Everyone sat around the pool after was coming up to us shaking our hands and buying us drinks because the lads were b*******!"
Since the footage went viral last weekend, it has been reposted by the footballer on his TikTok account - and he has also shared various snaps of himself on holiday in Ibiza.
Harratt recently scored the winning goal at Wembley for Oldham as they won the National League play-off final, securing themselves a spot back in the Football League.
However the player has been involved in several misdemeanours in the past. Last year while on loan at Fleetwood Town from Huddersfield Town he was fined £1,000 by police after he was caught poaching in North Yorkshire. Harratt was also convicted of poaching at a farm in East Yorkshire in 2022 and fined £830, plus £233 costs.
Two seasons ago and Harratt was banned from the game for four months whilst he was on the books at Huddersfield after placing 484 bets on matches over a three-year period. He was also hit with a £3,200 fine and 36 of the bets were on Huddersfield games - but insisted he was not in the matchday squad for any of them.
The Mirror have contacted Oldham for comment.

Robbie Savage drops huge hint over his next job as he closes in on replacing sacked National League head coach - after rejecting offers higher up the pyramid
Robbie Savage is seemingly on the verge of becoming Forest Green's new head coach after resigning from a role at his current club. Forest Green sacked Steve Cotterill on Thursday after they failed to achieve promotion through the National League play-offs. Despite finishing third, they were dumped out by Southend on penalties and missed out on a place at Wembley. They are now expected to appoint Savage, who successfully led Macclesfield to the National League North in his first season in charge last campaign. Chairman Dale Vince revealed Rovers' new manager will be officially unveiled on Tuesday and all the signs point to Savage, 50, taking charge. Vince, who is currently promoting his eco-friendly agenda at Glastonbury, told the BBC: 'We've got a new manager being appointed and we have an event on Tuesday.' Savage is currently a part-owner at Macclesfield as well as their manager. However, according to Companies House, he has now resigned as a director. Paperwork filed with Companies House shows Savage has resigned as a Macclesfield director He took up the coaching reins last summer after initially acting as director of football. Savage is believed to be close friends with Forest Green director of football Mark Bowen, his former team-mates on international duty with Wales. According to The Mirror, he had rejected offers from higher up the pyramid. He signed a new two-year contract with Macclesfield just last month, having steered his side to promotion with a whopping 109 points, 26 clear of second place. Speaking after penning his extension, he said: 'It's a club that's close to my heart. 'What myself and Rob and the volunteers, the staff have all achieved: three promotions in four years, an FA trophy semi-final, record-breaking season last year. 'You know interest from other clubs, as Rob has alluded to, I just wanted to show everybody my commitment to this football club. 'It's my future. For the next couple of years, it's going to be here. It's a project. It's a journey. I can't leave that dressing room. 'The lads have been spectacular, been amazing. Togetherness has been incredible. So I'm on that journey with them.' Wayne Rooney, currently out of work after being sacked by Plymouth Argyle, has been linked with the Macclesfield hot seat should Savage leave.
