Hyperscale Data Targets Full Buildout of 340 MW Michigan AI Data Center Campus in 2029
LAS VEGAS, July 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS), a diversified holding company ('Hyperscale Data' or the 'Company'), today announced a strategic development roadmap to fully build out its data center campus in Michigan that is optimized for artificial intelligence ('AI') to 340 megawatts ('MW'). This phased expansion underscores the Company's long-term commitment to supporting AI, machine learning and high-performance computing ('HPC') workloads.
The Company currently operates approximately 30 MW of power at the Michigan facility and expects to increase the power capacity to 70 MW over the next 20 months. The full 340 MW buildout is anticipated within 44 months from execution of an agreement with the local utility provider and securing appropriate funding.
'We are building a scalable, AI-centric digital infrastructure platform,' said William B. Horne, Chief Executive Officer of Hyperscale Data. 'As demand for computing power accelerates, our Michigan campus positions us to scale efficiently and profitably to meet that demand.'
Shelf Registration Filed to Enable Long-Term Financial Flexibility
To support the Michigan expansion and other strategic initiatives, the Company recently filed a shelf registration statement for up to $125 million (the 'Registration Statement'). At this time, Hyperscale Data does not intend to raise capital under this Registration Statement. The Registration Statement provides flexibility to access capital markets over time as construction and development of the Michigan campus continues.
Phased Expansion Timeline:
The Michigan facility, located on an approximately 34-acre site, currently generates revenue through digital asset mining and by providing colocation and hosting services for the emerging AI ecosystems and other industries. Planned development milestones include:
Current Operations: Approximately 30 MW online and operational;
Mid-Term Expansion: Add 40 MW by Second Quarter of 2027; and
Full Buildout: Additional 270 MW by Third Quarter of 2029, for a total of 340 MW.
In February 2025, the Company's indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Alliance Cloud Services, LLC ('ACS'), reached an agreement in principle with the local utility to increase available power to 300 MW. The final letter of authorization is currently under negotiation, and once executed, the full upgrade is expected to be completed within 44 months. Additionally, ACS has reached an agreement in principle with the local natural gas utility to supply an extra 40 MW of power.
Positioning for the Future of AI Infrastructure
Hyperscale Data's expansion plan is aligned with surging industry demand for purpose-built, high-density compute infrastructure. The Company cites comparable projects such as Applied Digital Corporation's recently announced 250 MW contract with CoreWeave, Inc., which is projected to generate over $7 billion in revenue over 15 years.
As the Company enters the second half of 2025, it remains focused on reducing debt, streamlining operations and advancing its strategic transition to a pureplay AI data center platform.

Foundation donates RM100,000 to boost AI learning at Kian Kok
Published on: Tuesday, August 05, 2025 Published on: Tue, Aug 05, 2025 Text Size: Chin (4th from left) presenting a RM50,000 mock cheque to Clement, whole others look on. Kota Kinabalu: The Kinabalu Foundation has contributed RM100,000 to Kian Kok Middle School over the past two years in support of Chinese education and digital advancement, particularly in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning infrastructure. The funding, disbursed in two phases, was used to improve the school's computer hardware and software. In 2024, RM50,000 was allocated to upgrade teachers' computer systems. This year, another RM50,000 was approved for the student computer lab, forming the base for the school's AI education programme. Kian Kok Middle School Board Chairman Datuk Clement Yeh said the assistance had helped the school take its first steps toward integrating AI-related modules into the curriculum. 'In today's education landscape, we cannot ignore technological developments. Students should have the opportunity to learn about systems like AI from an early stage. This contribution has helped us start building the necessary foundation,' he said. Advertisement He added that the school would have struggled to launch a structured AI programme without the Foundation's support due to limited resources. The Kinabalu Foundation, established in 1982, has long supported Chinese education in Sabah. To date, it has donated over RM4.28 million to schools statewide, benefiting more than 5,300 students through infrastructure upgrades, digital modernisation, and student assistance. In 2025 alone, the Foundation allocated RM401,000 to nine Chinese independent schools and seven converted Chinese secondary schools, including those in rural areas. Foundation Chairman Datuk Chin Chee Kee said the goal is to ensure that access to technology is not limited by location or resources. 'AI education should not be limited to schools in big cities. We want to help schools prepare students for the future,' he said. He said the Foundation's role goes beyond preserving language and culture, by also encouraging progress in science, technology and innovation within the Chinese school system. Kian Kok plans to use the latest grant to introduce AI-related subjects such as image recognition and basic programming and to provide training for teachers. The school aims to build a full AI education programme within three years. Since 1983, the Foundation has contributed more than RM16 million to Chinese education, including school construction, renovations, flood relief and rural teacher incentives. In 1997, it raised RM7.79 million through the 'Top Ten Charity Concert', with RM774,017 channelled to Kian Kok. From 2000 to date, it has awarded RM6.05 million in scholarships to 8,139 students and RM2.42 million in loans to 114 students pursuing tertiary education. 'The Kinabalu Foundation has given us not just funds but also the support to move forward with education upgrades,' said the school's administration. The RM100,000 contribution is part of the Foundation's wider effort to support Chinese schools in Sabah to adapt to new learning needs and technologies.

Broadcom launches Jericho chip to advance AI data center networks
FILE PHOTO: The Broadcom company logo is shown outside one of their office complexes in Irvine, California, U.S., March 4, 2021. REUTERS/Mike Blake/File Photo SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -Broadcom's silicon division launched its next-generation Jericho networking chip on Monday, which is designed to connect data centers over 60 miles (96.5 km) apart and speed artificial intelligence computation. The company's Jericho4 introduces and improves several features that increase the amount of networking traffic speeding across large networks that operate inside and between data centers. Building and deploying artificial intelligence has become more computationally intensive and requires stringing together thousands of graphics processors (GPUs). Cloud computing companies such as Microsoft and Amazon require faster, more sophisticated networking chips to ensure data moves efficiently. Security when transferring data beyond the physical walls of a data center is crucial for cloud companies because of the potential attacks that could intercept it ahead of reaching its destination. Broadcom's engineers designed the Jericho chips to be deployed at a massive scale, and a single system can encompass roughly 4,500 chips, according toRam Velaga, senior vice president and general manager of Broadcom's Core Switching Group. To help mitigate issues around network congestion, the Jericho4 chips use the same high-bandwidth memory (HBM) designers such as Nvidia and AMD use for their AI processors. It's necessary because of the volume of data that needs to be stuffed into memory at any given moment of operation. "The switch is actually holding that traffic (in memory) till the congestion frees up," Velaga said. "It means you need to have a lot of memory on the chip." The longer the distance the data must travel from the chip to its destination, the more memory designers must include in the chip as well. In addition to performance improvements, the Jericho4 also beefs up security by encrypting data. Broadcom opted to use TSMC's three nanometer process for the Jericho4. (Reporting by Max A.
