Deepak Fertilisers signs 5-year LNG regasification agreement with Petronet LNG
The agreement builds on DFPCL's long-term LNG supply contract with Norwegian energy major Equinor ASA and ensures smooth logistical and commercial arrangements for delivering imported LNG to its manufacturing facilities in Taloja, Mumbai, through the existing national gas grid.
Under the terms of the five-year contract, Petronet LNG will regasify approximately 25 TBTUs of LNG annually—after an initial ramp-up phase—primarily at its Dahej terminal. The regasified natural gas will then be supplied to DFPCL and PCL's units for internal consumption, powering a robust production line that stretches from ammonia to nitric acid and downstream products such as NPK fertilisers, industrial chemicals, and mining chemicals.
This end-to-end integration provides DFPCL with a unique competitive edge, enabling it to deliver customised, value-added chemical solutions across sectors. The deal also supports the company's forward integration strategy, reinforcing its ambition to offer risk-mitigated and value-accretive products aligned with India's industrial and agricultural growth.
Importantly, the agreement is a domestic transaction, with no promoter or related party involvement, and is executed on an arm's length basis.
With this critical tie-up, Deepak Fertilisers continues to enhance its strategic infrastructure and supply security—strengthening its position as a key player in India's chemical and fertiliser ecosystem.

NYC fishermen beg Trump to rethink offshore windfarm OK'd during Biden admin
Commercial fishing workers pleaded with President Trump to again maroon a wind project off the Long Island shore – arguing Tuesday the green energy initiative could throw the industry into disarray. Business and environmental organizations gathered at the Fulton Fish Market Cooperative in the Bronx early Tuesday to emphasize the devastating effects the Empire Wind One project could have on fishermen's jobs and marine life. The Trump administration temporarily paused the project in April while it was already under construction, launching a review of the permits issued during former President Joe Biden's administration. The stop was lifted a month later. 3 Critics of the project want Trump to intervene again. Getty Images But Bonnie Brady, the executive director of the Long Island Commercial Fishing Association, claimed White House officials don't know how damaging the project is. 'If new information came to him that he was made aware of that made him understand the severity of the situation, I think he's a good American like anyone else that wants to keep this country safe and I think he'd act accordingly,' she told The Post in an interview. Critics of the project – constructed by Norwegian-based Equinor and meant to power some 500,000 homes — argued offshore wind farms can interfere with navigational radar used by ships and smaller boats that could lead to collisions or hamper water rescue efforts. Commercial fisheries also catch an assortment of seafood in the area where the wind turbines are going up, advocates said. Brady and Fulton Fish Market Cooperative CEO Nicole Ackerina said its members would welcome Trump to the area to learn more about the potential pitfalls of Empire Wind One from workers who make up a chunk of his GOP base. 'The reality is that especially seafood and fishing, we're a large population of the Trump-supporters base, especially in New York and New Jersey for him,' Ackerina told The Post. 'So we're kind of of the perspective the only reason why this project is proceeding at this point is probably strictly because of political reasons and political agendas at the city and state level so we'd love the opportunity for him to actually sit down with the people that voted for him and with a industry he claims to align with.' Equinor has said it is committed working with mariners and fishermen to avoid and minimize any potential effects the project could have, according to its website. 3 Map of Empire Wind Project The seafood industry generates billions a year across New York and New Jersey and employs more than 140,000 workers in the two states, according to the groups against the project. 'They are the last of the hunters in a sense of harvesting high-protein, unspoiled seafood source,' Brady said. 'Someone is forgetting about them.' A lawsuit was filed against the Trump administration by various fishing companies and other opponents in June, calling on the president to re-implement the stop work order that was previously put in place by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. An email to the interior Department was not immediately returned Tuesday. The Post has also sought comment from Equinor. 3 The turbines would help power thousands of homes. Empire Wind The project is backed by Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams in part because it'll help meet a state law that mandates 100% zero-emission electricity by 2040 and the phasing out of fossil fuels by 2050. Trump has spoken out against wind farms in the past, but Republican mega-donor and billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis said the president told him he can't stop it because the approvals were OK'd before he took office. The project will be built 15-30 miles south of Long Island and made up of 54 wind turbines, according to a project website.

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA): Deflation Is Coming From The Robots, Says Jim Cramer
We recently published . NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) is one of the stocks Jim Cramer recently discussed. NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) is the world's premier AI company. June and July have been great months for the stock as they have enabled the firm to once again become the most valuable company in the world. Cramer is an ardent believer in NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s potential and the promise of robots. His latest comments revolved around these themes as well: 'There's a man. And that man met with the President yesterday. Jensen. And what he stands for is two things. Accelerated computing and generative, which is incredibly deflationary. Not in the numbers yet. You want to see something in the numbers? David, you go and see the Norwegian robots. The Norwegian robots. . .you go see those robots. I've got to tell you. Andy Jassy told me maybe 2030, but these are the most deflationary things I have seen because they can make your bed, they can put the dishes away. They save a lot of marriages, by the way. A close-up of a colorful high-end graphics card being plugged in to a gaming computer. Previously, the CNBC TV host remarked on how NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s CEO is changing the world: 'The real Jensen deserves everything. And people don't understand this man's changed the world and it's not just AI. It's rapid computing. Okay. The faster you are in accelerated computing, the more things you can do. And this is the man that made it so that we're gonna have robots that make our beds and clean our toilets instead of him. . .Don't forget when CoreWeave was struggling with its deal, what did he do? He came in and said listen I'll buy as much CoreWeave as possible. Now, it was viewed as a charity mission. But he bought it at 40. This man is so smart. Does he ever make you feel that you're dumb? No, he makes you feel that you're smart.' While we acknowledge the potential of NVDA as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and have limited downside risk. Uprise and Gurobi Partner to Optimize Battery Energy Storage System Deployment in Croatia
BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Uprise, a trusted expert in transforming Europe's energy landscape, has partnered with Gurobi Optimization, LLC, the leader in decision intelligence technology, to help a Norwegian state-owned energy producer develop an optimized strategy for battery energy storage system (BESS) deployment in Croatia. Statkraft, the largest producer of renewable energy in Europe, needed a financial model demonstrating the project's viability. They turned to Uprise, a local energy consultancy and software development firm, for help developing a comprehensive route-to-market study. As a Gurobi partner, Uprise was able to leverage the fastest solver on the market—a quality that was critical to the success of Statkraft's project. 'In the energy sector, speed is extremely important, and problems exhibit a high degree of complexity. For example, energy portfolio and electrical power grid optimizations are typically performed daily, often multiple times per day, and usually with strict time constraints,' explained Zlatko Ofak, Business Development and Innovation Lead at Uprise. Using expenditure and market data, along with market and technical constraints, Uprise modeled the Croatian market and used Gurobi to generate an optimal trading strategy, financial projections, and key performance indicators, such as internal rate of return (IRR). By simulating hundreds of potential market behaviors and operational trade-offs, the optimization model uncovered the best path forward—including a 12-25% increase in forecasted revenue due to the hourly multimarket optimization approach, plus detailed insight into optimal day-to-day market strategy approaches. 'With this study, we were able to analyze different market approaches and understand which scenario was best for us in order to move forward,' said Krešimir Benčić, Senior Project Developer at Statkraft. 'We now have the information we need to present to the board, and we got some valuable feedback that we will also be able to use if we move forward with other battery projects in the future.' 'We are proud to partner with Uprise to help companies like Statkraft navigate an increasingly complex energy landscape and develop solutions that are powering a more sustainable future,' said Duke Perrucci, CEO of Gurobi Optimization.
