Who Is ‘Destination X' Contestant Biggy Bailey? Everything We Know About the Content Creator So Far

Yahoo04-06-2025
Biggy Bailey is one of 12 contestants on NBC's new reality competition show Destination X – and he's ready to 'do whatever it takes' to win the game and bring home the coveted $250,000 cash prize.
In Touch reveals everything to know so far about the competitor.
Biggy is a successful content creator and a sports bettor. He is described as a 'walking sports encyclopedia' who 'excels at calculating risk and crunching numbers,' according to NBC. Additionally, he was able to learn 'the skill of persuasion and convincing others to follow his lead' from his prior experience as a sales manager.
Despite being on a reality competition show that revolves around travel and calls for competitors to have an extensive knowledge of European geography and culture, Biggy had only traveled throughout the United States and Mexico prior to his stint on the series.
What he didn't know from experience, he made up for with studying — and it paid off! In the series premiere episode, he showed off his skills in the suitcase challenge, when he got six European country-related clues correct in a row. He would have won the challenge if fellow contestants Ally Bross and Mack Fitzgerald hadn't teamed up to snag the win by a hair with seven tags.
He also avoided being the first player sent home by correctly guessing they were in Rome in the map room.
He is from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Biggy has racked up a sizable social media following over the years. On his TikTok, where he is known as 'biggycookthebook,' he has a whopping 1.2 million followers.
He also has over 21,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Aside from his work on social media, he additionally hosts a podcast called 'Cook the Book.' In the Spotify summary for the show, he describes the podcast as 'Biggy touching on the topics that matter (not really).'
Destination X takes competitors on the journey of a lifetime as they make their way through Europe in a blacked-out bus where they 'eat, sleep and travel together' while strategizing and navigating the ever-changing dynamics with other contestants in the group.
Throughout the course of the season, each player must take on a number of high-pressure challenges and interpret sneaky clues – and also weed out the occasional red herrings – given by host Jeffrey Dean Morgan in order to find out exactly where in the world they are.
'They will need to rely on their knowledge of pop culture, history, geography and observational skills to win clues to their current location and earn an all-important advantage,' the NBC press release read. 'The players each share an unmistakable sense of wanderlust, but with constantly shifting alliances and unexpected adversaries, they're forced to discover who they can trust, whose strengths will take them the farthest and who to send to the Map Room.'
According to his bio, Biggy plans to use his 'loveable' and 'outgoing' personality to 'strategically connect with his competitors and do whatever it takes to win the game.'
The first episode of Destination X premieres on May 27, 2025. Fans can continue to follow Biggy's journey on the show on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC or catch it streaming the next day on Peacock.

Owner Confused by Cat's Way of Drinking Water, Then She Realizes Why

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A cat owner's bewilderment over her pet's unusual drinking method turned into a realization that has tickled internet users. A viral TikTok video showed her feline's peculiar habit of dipping its paw into a water glass, then licking the water off—but then revealed it to be a direct imitation of the owner's own snack-time ritual. Since the clip was posted, it has received almost 700,000 views. "My cat's been drinking water like this and turns out she got it from me," the creator captioned the video, which shows her dunking an Oreo into a glass. The camera then pans to her cat, who is seen mimicking the action with its paw. The revelation sparked a wave of comments from TikTok users, many of whom have experienced their own pets' surprising mimicry. "How often do you dunk Oreos for her to imitate you?" one commenter wrote. Other users shared equally hilarious examples of their pets copying human behaviors. "I have a touch lamp that has three modes, dim, semi dim and bright," another person posted. "I always cycle through the three two times because I get confused as to which one it's on. My cat started to do the same thing." "My cat started doing that when I had a sick kitten," a third commenter shared. "I had to keep dipping a rag into warm water to clean the kitten's eyes. The cat started dipping her paw and licking it off." The phenomenon of cats dipping their paws into water, while unusual to some, is actually a recognized behavior in the feline world. As the telehealth vet service PangoVet said in a blog post, the reason cats paw at their water bowls is a "bit of a mystery"—but there are several strong explanations. One common theory, echoed by a TikTok commenter, is that cats may have a hard time gauging water levels. "They may not know if there even is water in the bowl," PangoVet said. "Therefore, they may dip their paw in to see where it is at." This is often due to their extra-sensitive whiskers, which can be uncomfortable if constantly touching the sides of a deep or narrow bowl. "In an attempt to reach the water without upsetting their whiskers, cats may try to 'scoop' up the water with their paw," the blog post read. Other reasons cats might paw at their water include a preference for moving water as they might in the wild; stress; territory marking; or simply being "curious and playful." However, rare, persistent changes in drinking behavior, especially if accompanied by other symptoms, could indicate a medical problem, warranting a vet checkup. July's buck full moon: 4 zodiac signs could receive 'keys to a better life'

July's full moon, the Buck Moon, is in Capricorn, and astrologers are saying it will challenge people and allow them to grow. "Anywhere you've been holding yourself back, it's going to show up loud and clear," said astrologer Christian Klausner in a video posted to Instagram. The cardinal signs will be most affected by the moon, according to astrologer Evan Nathaniel Grim. And while it may feel like they're being punished, the universe is actually freeing them from a limiting world. These four signs will be receiving "keys to a better life" during July's full moon. Here's what to know. Four signs will be affected the most by the moon While everyone will feel the energy the Capricorn full moon brings, these four signs will be impacted, according to Grim. How will these 4 signs be affected? The Capricorn full moon will dissolve any notions that any of the four signs listed had about what the "ideal" person truly is, according to Grim. "There's a feeling that we have to let go of something that's now outdated or something that's become brittle, hardened by time, decaying," he said in a video posted to TikTok. Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra might feel like they need to move on from commitments they made that no longer "resonate" with who they are today. While it might feel odd the move away from these commitments, these four signs are going to either be "owning up to their responsibilities or letting them go." When is the full moon in July? The full moon will be at its peak on Thursday, July 10, at 4:37 p.m. ET. When will be the best time to see the Buck Moon? Since the moon will be at its peak in the afternoon, while the moon is below the horizon, it won't be visible until the sun sets in your local time zone, according to What to do during the full moon Online creator and witch, Natasha Rusilko, advises doing multiple rituals this full moon, including some of the following: A post shared by Natasha Rusilko (@natashajaderusilko) Crystals and the full moon For the crystal carriers out there, Rusilko advises you to carry the following crystals with you: When is the next full moon? The next full moon is the Sturgeon Moon, which will occur Saturday, Aug. 9. The Sturgeon Moon will be in the sign of Aquarius, according to Chani, a horoscope app. Full moons in 2025 The following dates list out the rest of the expected full moons in 2025: Julia is a trending reporter for USA TODAY. Lawless's "Forget The Filler" in a variety of delectable flavors (birthday cake!!!) — it'll hydrate your lips overnight (similar to Laneige's repairing sleep mask) and make your pout fuller. It's made of shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and a stimulating peptide complex that work so magically together you won't ever want to run out. Clinique Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey that has been *all the rage* on TikTok (which is how you know it's good). A motivating daily planner that literally says "You've got this!" at the top — it'll also look oh-so-cute on your desk or fridge and has sections to keep track of appointments, how much water you're drinking, a to-do list, what you ate (meal prep, perhaps?!) and a general notes/doodling area. Gradient tempered glass for your iPhone — it'll act as a privacy screen (sorry to the Nosy Nancy sitting next to you on the subway, they won't be able to see your texts to your mom), will help filter blue light, prevent your screen from scratching, and add a little bit of *~flair~* to your phone in the process. A dazzling candle warmer with a lampshade reminiscent of a high-end crystal chandelier you'd likely see in the middle of a ballroom on Bridgerton.
