Sean ‘Diddy' Combs denied bail after mixed verdict clears him of some charges
The bond decision came after a jury convicted Combs of federal prostitution-related offences, but acquitted him of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Combs, 55, has been behind bars since his arrest in September.
The Grammy-winning impresario stands convicted of two counts of a crime — transportation to engage in prostitution — that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
But jurors cleared him of charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
His lawyers argued that the acquittal on those counts changed the legal landscape enough that he should be freed on one million dollars bond.
Prosecutors said he remained a flight risk.

The V&A East Storehouse's upcoming David Bowie archive now has an official opening date
First announced in back 2023, the finer details of the V&A East Storehouse's new David Bowie Centre have finally been revealed. The V&A East Storehouse opened in May this year. Spoiler: it's amazing. But visitors have had to wait a bit longer for the arrival of the massive David Bowie archive, which will contain more than 80,000 items and span six decades of the life of Ziggy Stardust. It's been revealed that the David Bowie Centre will officially open on September 13 2025. And that isn't the only additional info that the V&A has revealed – we also now know more about the opening exhibits, which are going to be curated by BRIT-winning indie band The Last Dinner Party and living musical legend Nile Rodgers. Rodgers, who produced Bowie's albums Let's Dance and Black Tie White Noise has selected items including personal correspondence between himself and Bowie, a bespoke Peter Hall suit worn by Bowie during the Serious Moonlight tour and Chuck Pulin photographs of Bowie, Rodgers and guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan recording Let's Dance in New York Rodgers said: 'My creative life with David Bowie provided the greatest success of his incredible career, but our friendship was just as rewarding. Our bond was built on a love of the music that had both made and saved our lives.' The Last Dinner Party have mainly selected items from the 1970s which show how Bowie continues to inspire musicians today. Their choices include Bowie's handwritten lyrics for 'Win' from the 1974 album Young Americans, setlists from the 1976 Station to Station tour, and Bowie's Electronic Music Studios (EMS) synthesiser user manual. As well as the guest-curated exhibitions, the free-to-enter gallery will have nine displays showing everything from photographs to clothing, and drawings, and will include insights into unrealised projects. Plus, the V&A's fantastic order-an-object service will be included in the Bowie archive, meaning visitors can book one-on-one time with items from the archive.

Puppy rescued from house covered in faeces finds loving new home
A puppy who was found hiding alongside several other animals in a house covered in faeces and urine has 'blossomed' into a happy house dog after being taken in by new owners. Sadie was found alongside three dogs, a hedgehog, and a snake in a house in Inverness described as 'harrowing' by inspectors. The floor was thick with excrement, and the living room smelled of faeces and urine. A visibly underfed seven-foot boa constrictor was found in an enclosure strewn with numerous dead, uneaten chicks, and an African pygmy hedgehog was locked in a vivarium that lacked any food or any form of heating or lighting. Scottish SPCA via Supplied Sadie cuddling up to a toy A section of the room had been fenced off, forming a pen saturated with feces and urine, where a six-month-old female crossbreed puppy, Sadie, was discovered so frightened she was attempting to hide under a cabinet. The man responsible for her suffering, along with the rest of the animals, Scott Trist, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court in June. He pled guilty to charges relating to animal neglect and received a four-year ban from owning or keeping animals, along with 210 hours of unpaid community service. Sadie, who had never received affection, touched grass or played with a toy, was taken into the care of the Scottish SPCA. Her world changed forever when she was taken into a loving home in September 2024, with new owners Vicky and Ed. 'We were told she'd probably be too nervous to come near us,' Vicky said, remembering their first meeting. Scottish SPCA via Supplied Sadie took some time to settle into her new home 'But instead, she jumped straight into my lap and showered me with kisses. Ed got belly rub requests! We knew right then she was meant to be with us.' Vicky, who has worked in rescue centres herself, believes deeply in giving animals a second chance and took her time with Sadie. The puppy waited five days before going into the car, several weeks before trusting the couch, and even a couple of months before going upstairs. After being given the time to settle in, Sadie now loves swimming – and even started paddleboarding. 'We were prepared to take things slow, to let her trust us in her own time', she added. 'She is the sweetest, most grateful little dog. She's loving, gentle, a little cheeky, and so full of life. We're the lucky ones – she chose us.' The pygmy hedgehog who was found in the house with a visibly inflamed injury to her right eye, was lovingly rehomed with new owners who had the specialist knowledge needed to care for her properly.
