Augustas Marčiulionis will agree to Exhibit 10 contract with Lakers
But they didn't stop working after those two deals. They went ahead and signed Eric Dixon, a 6-foot-8, 24-year-old big man from Villanova University, to a two-way contract after he went undrafted. Dixon led the NCAA in scoring this past season with an average of 23.3 points a game.
The Lakers are also reportedly set to sign Augustas Marčiulionis, a point guard from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., to an Exhibit 10 deal. He is the son of Šarūnas Marčiulionis, a former NBA guard who is in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The younger Marčiulionis played four years of college basketball, and he averaged 14.2 points, 5.9 assists and 1.3 steals a game while shooting 44.6% from the field and 34.7% from 3-point range this past season.
Like his father, he is originally from Lithuania, where he played for Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) before coming to the United States. He is 23 years of age and was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year in each of the last two seasons.

Ayton was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, while Doncic was the No. 3 pick in that same draft. The two were reportedly motivated to play together, and they should be able to thrive together, given Ayton's history of being a rim-running lob threat. While plenty feel Ayton hasn't lived up to his potential since coming out of the University of Arizona, he does have career averages of 16.4 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. He will give Los Angeles another legitimate offensive threat while also upgrading the team in terms of rebounding, size, speed and athleticism.

In a newly released podcast with LeBron James and Steve Cash, Rockets star Kevin Durant showed clear respect for his new head coach in Houston. In an interview taped earlier in the 2025 NBA offseason, All-Star forward Kevin Durant sat down with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and former NBA player and coach Steve Nash for their 'Mind the Game' podcast. Part one was released last week, and part two was released Tuesday. Based on phrasing, it's clear the interview was taped prior to Durant joining the Rockets by trade — or at least before it was made official. But he did share some kind words for head coach Ime Udoka, who was reportedly among the top reasons Durant wanted to join Houston. In a discussion about the types of defenses that star players like Durant and James routinely face, 'KD' said of Udoka: You can throw zones in there, with how they mix up defenses. When we play Houston, Ime Udoka does a good job in that.
