F1 (Formula One) Box Office: Brad Pitt starrer scores strong advance booking in India, headed to open at Rs 5 crore
Brad Pitt's much-awaited movie F1 (Formula One) is all set to hit the screens in a couple of hours. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sports drama is among the most anticipated movies of Hollywood this year, and it has generated a solid buzz not only in the US but also in the Indian markets.
F1 (Formula One) sells 65,000 tickets in top national chains in India
Distributed by Warner Bros Pictures and Apple Original Films, F1 has recorded impressive pre-sales at the Indian box office. As per estimates, the Brad Pitt starrer has sold over 65,000 tickets in the top three national chains- PVR Inox and Cinepolis- for the first day alone.
The advance booking of F1 indicates a good opening at the Indian box office. Usually, Hollywood movies, apart from IP/franchise films, do not open with an opening of Rs 5 crore plus in India, but F1 has the potential to emerge as an exception. As per current trends, the Brad Pitt starrer has chances of not only surpassing the Rs 5 crore net mark on its opening day, but also can touch the Rs 6 crore figure. However, a lot will depend on its spot-booking and walk-ins.
Given multiple releases this weekend, F1 is releasing on a decent number of screens. As soon as word-of-mouth flourishes, the stakeholders are expected to add more shows, seeing the audience's reception and demand. It will face tough competition from Kajol's MAA, Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa, and Rekha's Umrao Jaan re-release.

On the global front, the sports drama is projected to debut with USD 100 million plus, which will be a banger start for a standalone movie. It is expected to gross USD 40 million to USD 50 million on its opening day in the domestic markets alone.
If it stands on the expectations, the movie will storm past the opening day collections of the M3GAN sequel at the US box office. Reportedly, the movie is mounted on a high budget of USD 200 million.

STAND-IN captain Smriti Mandhana hit a scintillating century (112 off 62 balls) while left-arm spinner N Shree Charani, with figures of 4/12, made a dream debut as India Women crushed England Women by 97 runs in the opening T20I at Nottingham on Saturday. Mandhana's maiden century in T20 internationals guided India to 210/5, India's second-highest total in T20Is, after being asked to bat first. Smriti Mandhana's elegant maiden ton leads India to 97-run win over England in 1st T20I
Stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana's graceful maiden T20 International hundred adorned India's smooth 97-run win over England in the opening match here on Saturday (June 29, 2025). The visitors now lead the five-match T20I series 1-0. Mandhana (112, 62 balls) and Harleen Deol (43, 23 balls) added 94 runs for the second wicket as India posted a commanding 210 for five after being invited to bat. Skipper Nat Sciver Brunt (66, 42 balls) waged a lone battle for England, who were limited to 113 all out in 14.5 overs by the on-song Indian bowlers. For India, debutante left-arm spinner Shree Charani (4/12) was the most successful bowler, as there was nothing much left in England's innings after they lost half of the line-up inside the first 10 overs for a sub-100 score. Mandhana, who led the team in the absence of injured regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, stole the day with an innings that was a full-fledged display of her style, aggression and ability to play shots around the field. She gave the Indian innings some early impetus, making 77 runs with a struggling Shafali Varma (20, 22 balls), whose return to top-flight cricket after a gap of eight months was less than satisfactory. Mandhana was the dominant figure in that alliance off just 8.3 overs. Shafali's dismissal did not deter Mandhana as the left-hander raised a further 94 runs for the second wicket with an equally aggressive Harleen, who was dropped on 26 by Danny Wyatt-Hodge off off-spinner Alice Capsey near mid-wicket. Nashik RTO's drive against fancy number plates till July 13
Nashik: The Nashik Regional Transport Office (RTO) began a drive against fancy registration numbers on vehicles from Saturday. It will continue until July 13. Nashik RTO Pradeep Shinde said that there were a high number of vehicles where the fonts of the registration number appear to look like Marathi words like 'Kaka, Dada, Mama', etc. "Hence, it becomes difficult for RTO inspectors and police to figure out the exact registration number on the vehicle," the officer added. The RTO undertook a similar drive from May 28 to June 10 against fancy number plates and black films on the cars, SUVs. A senior official said they had challaned 563 motorists for putting fancy registration numbers on vehicles or putting black films, during the last drive. "We collected a fine of over Rs 4.2 lakh," he added. RTO officials said that there are still a large number of motorists who have such number plates or films on glasses. Over-speeding, rash driving, driving without a helmet or seat belt, and driving from the wrong side of the road are some of the common violations seen throughout Nashik city and rural parts of the district. Traffic violations lead to most of the accidents on streets in Nashik city. Every year, nearly 1,000 people die in road accidents in the entire district, said officials of the city traffic branch.
