Shruti Haasan On Justin Bieber's Emotional Struggles: ‘It's Planetary Problem'
Canadian singer Justin Bieber, known for his multi-genre musical performances, recently sparked concern with his social media activity. His cryptic messages, referring to his emotional struggles, have sparked speculations about his well-being. Now, actress-turned-singer Shruti Haasan, who claims to understand Bieber's current emotions, reacted to the same.
In a heartfelt conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia (BeerBiceps) for his podcast, Shruti Haasan was asked to reflect on Justin Bieber's current state. The actress, without hesitation, clarified that she isn't a fan of his music, but revealed having an understanding of the alleged emotional struggle he has been going through now. She shared, 'I don't like his music. And I don't know him, so I have no opinion. It's (music) too happy. I think I heard that first song of his that put me off (Baby)."
When the interviewer pointed out Bieber's current phase of dealing with emotions and seeming 'going through something lately," she quickly quipped, 'Oh definitely!" Following this, Shruti reflected that this is not only about the teen sensation Baby singer. Instead, she highlighted the astronomical aspects of the year.
'You know, the thing is, and I've always said this — again not to play the boo hoo card — right now the world is in a very challenging space for everyone. And I feel that everyone is going through a challenging time. It's just that when you put a camera on it, it's just more obvious. But I promise you it's not a Justin Bieber thing, it's a planetary problem currently," she exclaimed.
In the same conversation, Shruti then looked back at how she copes with dark phases in her life. Recalling a piece of advice from her father, Kamal Haasan, she shared, 'Honestly, and I've said this in so many interviews, the advice he consistently says is, 'don't be afraid of pain, no pain, no gain'. If something is challenging coming in front of you, face it, take it on. Of course, practically and don't hurt yourself, but no pain, no gain. And you shouldn't be afraid of the challenges."
