Cork City striker Djenairo Daniels joins Scottish side Kilmarnock
Daniels agreed a deal to sign for the Rebels on a short-term basis last April after City were left without a senior striker due to injuries to Sean Maguire and Ruairi Keating.
He had been a free agent having last playerd with Icelandic side Fram Reykjaví.
Under transfer rules, players are not allowed sign contracts lasting less than a six months, so a gentleman's agreement was made between the club and the striker that saw him sign until December and a release in the July window would be activated if a party saw fit.
He went on to score five times in his 12 Premier Division appearances for City, with the form stirring interest from clubs in Britain.
The striker has now agreed signed a two-year contract with Killie after undisclosed terms were agreed between the two clubs to facilitate his transfer.
While Maguire has now returned to action, it is still a blow to City and will leave Ger Nash in search of a new front man as they look to stave off relegation.
They slipped to five points from the play-off position over the weekend, which included a 3-1 loss to Shelbourne at Tolka Park.
Daniels did not feature in the game.
Speaking about his move to Scotland, the striker said: "I'm very happy to be here. I couldn't wait until everything was done, I'm finally here now, so I'm happy about that.
"The decision was very quick, because it's a big stage, a big opportunity for me and my career. That was the decision I had to make for myself, and it was the best I am sure."
Killie boss Stuart Kettlewell said: "Djenairo is one that we've been aware of for a while and his qualities are clear to see.
"He's been playing consistently recently and we're confident he will come in and hit the ground running, and that he can add to the quality we already have in the squad.
"He's joins up with the squad today and we're looking forward to working with him."

Rachel Graham says Athlone Town have tools to stay on European march
Shelbourne's Rachel Graham believes Athlone Town have the qualities to give Icelandic champions Breidablik a serious test when they meet in Round 2 of the Champions League qualifiers later this month. Athlone have their supporters in dreamland after easing past Cardiff City in the Round 1 semi-final and then overpowering Croatian outfit Agram in the final. Both of those games were at the Athlone Town Stadium, with Cardiff and Agram in their respective pre-seasons. Such advantages won't be present in a few weeks' time. Colin Fortune will bring his side to the Netherlands for a Round 2 semi-final against a Breidablik team top of their league table 11 games into their campaign. The winners will take on either FC Twente or Red Star Belgrade in the final. However, Graham fancies Athlone to give this a real go, telling the RTÉ Soccer Podcast: "Like we were saying about the Icelandic teams, they're usually big, strong, physical, but Athlone are a really fit team as well this year. "They've really athletic players. I think if you've a good goalkeeper, or a good centre-forward, a good goalscorer, you'll always have a chance. They have both of them. "They've some really good midfield players, like Hannah Waesch, who was excellent in the two games. She picks up really good positions, breaks up a lot of play, picks up a lot of loose balls. "I saw they've made two new signings (Alexis Strickland and Kat Oelschlaeger). "I don't know a whole lot about them but one has come from the same college (ex-Shels player) Maggie Pierce was in and she was obviously a really good standard so you'd expect maybe similar. "I'd imagine if they're signing them they're going to be a really good standard and add to the squad depth they have at the moment." Graham was part of the Raheny United team that reached the last 32 of the Champions League back in 2014. She was also with Shels in 2022 when they lost the Round 1 final to Valur of Iceland over in Slovenia. Breidablik are something of an unknown quantity, but Graham has confidence Athlone have enough about them to at least be competitive. "The fitness levels they have, the pace, the power, I think it's going to suit them going into this Icelandic game," she said. "They'll definitely put it up to them, but it's hard to know. "I tried to get footage of the Breidablik team online and there's nothing really, I could just go off their league table. They're top of the league. "They're not running away with the league but if you look at their goal difference compared to the other teams, they're running away in that sense. "They've played 11 games, they've conceded eight goals and scored 43 goals which is way above other teams.

'We want to get him fit' - St Mirren boss has plans for former Cork City man Dijksteel
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson intends on gradually integrating Malik Dijksteel into his team after granting the ex-Cork City winger his debut at Parkhead on Sunday. The original plan for the Dutchman joining the Scottish Premiership club in January was fast-tracked last week following a public spat with his City manager Ger Nash. It transpired the 24-year-old had, in fact, made himself available for last Friday week's game against Sligo Rovers despite claims to the contrary from his manager. City received a small fee for brokering a deal that suited all parties and the winger was named on the bench for Sunday's league opener against Celtic. Robinson introduced his new capture late on in the game played before bumper opening day crowd of 58,814. The Buddies were three minutes away from holding Celtic until Luke McCowan's deflected winner punctured their resistance. Lisburn-born Robinson also blooded another former League of Ireland graduate at Paradise. Tunmise Sobowale was two years ago sold by his hometown club Waterford to Shrewsbury Town and via a spell at Swindon Town was recently recruited by the Saints. Killian Phillips, who made his Ireland debut in the summer friendlies, also arrived in Paisley over the summer, upgrading his loan from Crystal Palace into a permanent deal. 'We've seen an incredible piece of athleticism from Tunmise but he's not played any football,' said Robinson after the wing-back's 15-minute league bow. 'Malik was only in the building two days and I'm not sure he touched the ball after he came on. 'We want to get these boys fit to have them as options, starting with next week. Rory Gaffney's brace puts Shamrock Rovers 10-points clear as attention turns to big European date
Rory Gaffney's pair of second-half goals won them the tie comfortably and put 10 points between themselves and second-placed Derry. Off the back of a strong run of form since the league restarted, City emerged as the club most likely to challenge Rovers for the Premier Division but now, with a haul of just one point from a possible nine, their title tilt has lost its way as Rovers already look like champions in waiting. Yes, this game could have had a different outcome had Michael Duffy's shot on 15 minutes gone into the net instead of rebounding off the post but that was all they offered. Aaron McEneff was first to threaten with a shot on nine minutes but that was over the bar and not enough to worry City 'keeper Brian Maher. Two minutes later it was Gaffney who was wasteful with a good opportunity, the veteran striker with the pace and the nous to latch on to a long ball out of defence and burst past Mark Connolly but his shot was wide of the target. Derry had soaked up the pressure to that point and then responded with what proved to be their best chance of the game. Sadou Diallo spotted an opening, clipped the ball over the top for Duffy who did well to control it, beat Dan Cleary and get in a shot, which came off the upright. Rovers had then been quiet bar a free-kick on the edge of the box on 37 minutes from Danny Mandroiu which was straight at Maher. However, the second half was not even two minutes old when Rovers took the lead. A well-worked move down the left was started by defender Lee Grace, his pass to Mandroiu was flicked into the path of Josh Honohan and Gaffney timed his move into the box to evade his maker perfectly and tapped home. That seemed to sap the energy from Derry as Connor Malley and Honohan went close before Gaffney made it 2-0 on 65 minutes, the Tuam man was alert when a Dylan Watts pass from deep saw space open up for the 35-year-old striker who turned defender Alex Bannon to ram home his eighth league goal of the season. With 25 minutes left on the clock Derry were no longer serious rivals and Stephen Bradley was able to see out the game with an eye on Thursday's tie against Ballkani, taking off his goalscorer and getting minutes into the legs of substitutes like John McGovern and Adam Matthews. Substitute Michael Noonan forced a save from Maher on 80 minutes, but there was still time for more misery for Derry as Alex Bannon was sent off for a second yellow card.
