Stephen Curry Wants To Follow Michael Jordan's Footsteps Even After Retirement
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has had a lot of success as a player. With four NBA championships to his name, he is a certified legend of the game. But the superstar has already set his sights on the future after retirement. Showing an inclination to pursue Michael Jordan's approach, Curry pondered the possibility of team ownership in a recent interview with CNBC Sport.

While discussing his plans of following Jordan's footsteps on CNBC's TV production of 'Curry Inc.: The Business of Stephen Curry', the 37-year-old said, "He might be the only one in our generation who has sat in that seat and done it that way."
"The idea of being a part of an ownership group and the right opportunity that allows me to have an impact on how a franchise should be operated — how you're going after true winning, like we've done here with the Warriors — that's something I'm excited about pursuing," added the Warriors star.
"It's interesting. Obviously, as an active player, you can't participate in that level until you're done. So you'll see me in the seat somewhere down the road.'
Team ownership is certainly not for the faint of heart. Jordan's experience with being a franchise owner started with the Washington Wizards. Although he gave that up to return to the court for the team he previously owned, he eventually transitioned by buying a minority stake in the Charlotte Hornets.

The NBA legend would go on to sell his stake in the Hornets in due time. Needless to say, he walked away with a sizeable profit, adding to his already impressive net worth.
Curry's idea of ownership is heavily inspired by his own experience with the Warriors franchise. Given that he has expanded his portfolio as CEO of Thirty Ink, a company linked with Unanimous Media, Gentleman's Cut bourbon, and 7k media consultancy, the 37-year-old is already on the right track.
Stephen Curry To Consider Career In Broadcasting Post-Retirement
Among Curry's plans after retirement, the Warriors star has also shown an inclination to the broadcasting space, although he is still hesitant about it at the moment.

"I would be more patient," he said, taking into consideration his teammate, Draymond Green, and his position in the space. "I think about what would be the right opportunity for me, 'cause anything that I do, I want to be all in on it. Right now, just doing your homework on the different pathways and options that might be available.'
The 37-year-old has already made his debut in front of the camera, featuring appearances in projects like Peacock's "Mr. Throwback", as well as Apple TV+'s "Stephen Curry: Underrated".
With a cultivated onscreen personality that could draw in the viewers and a knowledge of the game that transcends the boundaries of the court, Curry could prove to be a very competent broadcaster.

Shooters shoot! Klay Thompson seemingly confirms Megan Thee Stallion dating rumors
Forget soft launch summer. Klay Thompson is ditching subtlety and letting followers know the rumors are true – he and Megan Thee Stallion are dating. The longtime NBA star took to Instagram over the weekend, posting a carousel of photos July 13 featuring a shot of him and the Houston rapper in an intimate embrace. Later in the slideshow, another shot shows just their hands clasped together, beachside, Thomspon's blue and gold Rolex paired with Megan's baby pink acrylics and abalone shell jewelry. USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Megan and Thompson for comment. Megan Thee Stallion enters the villa on 'Love Island USA' The post is captioned simply "Sweet Bells son 🌴 🥥," the emojis no doubt a nod to the Bahamas, where the two appeared to be vacationing. Thompson's father, Mychal Thompson, a former NBA player, is Bahamian. While Megan's face doesn't appear in any of the photos, her unmistakable figure (hottie bootcamp tap in) and voluminous curls left little room for dispute. In a separate post days earlier, Megan spawned rumors of the romance by posting a bikini pic with a man in the background, whom fans speculated was Thompson. Megan Thee Stallion calls Tory Lanez a 'demon,' slams his fans for harassment The pairing, certainly not the first crossover between a music star and NBA royalty, feels apt for Thompson's recent geographic shift. After over a decade with the Golden State Warriors, the 35-year-old shooting guard was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2024. Megan, a powerhouse in the rap genre, is a Texas native, born in San Antonio and raised in Houston. Her music notches into Dirty South traditions, her lyrics often referring to Houston, and her style is steeped heavily in rodeo glam. Now a pair, Thompson and Megan may just be the Longhorn State's biggest power couple yet.

Jayson Tatum trying to convince Damian Lillard to sign with Celtics
Jayson Tatum is hitting the recruiting trail while he recovers from his brutal Achilles surgery, with eyes on a fellow All-Star going through the exact same rehab. Tatum is looking to convince Damian Lillard to join the Celtics after he was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks, according to the Boston Globe. Both players tore their Achilles during the NBA playoffs and will miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 season. 4 Damian Lillard AP 4 Jayson Tatum AP Boston's front office has reshaped the roster following its second-round elimination at the hands of the Knicks — one year after the Celtics won it all — by trading Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. Lillard, who turns 35 on July 15, was recently waived by the Bucks as Milwaukee elected to part ways with the nine-time All-Star and instead bring in longtime Pacers center Myles Turner. Considering the Bucks will have to pay Lillard $22 million per year over the next five years, and the fact that he's still going to be sidelined for the entire season, Lillard is reportedly in no rush to sign with his next team. 4 Lillard sits court-side at a WNBA game wearing his walking boot for his achilles recovery. NBAE via Getty Images It's a mystery how well Lillard's body will recover from such a serious injury in the latter years of his career, but Boston is reportedly interested in adding Lillard on a multi-year deal to join Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. The seven-time All-NBA point guard averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds on 44.8 percent shooting from the field and 37.6 percent from deep across 58 games with the Bucks this past season. He's been an All-Star each of the past three seasons, and his numbers last season were directly on par with his career per-game averages of 25.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds. His shooting splits were actually slightly up from his career numbers, 43.9 percent and 37.1 percent. 4 Jaylen Brown (left) and Derrick White (right) will carry much of the load for the Celtics this coming season with Jayson Tatum sidelined. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post In his two full games in Milwaukee's playoff series against the Pacers, he scored just 14 points in Game 1 and seven in Game 2, going 6-for-25 from the field in those games. He then played six scoreless minutes in Game 3 before suffering the Achilles injury.
