Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap – every movie crossover and event to expect this month

Daily Mirror15-07-2025
Marvel Rivals Season 3 is in full swing, and NetEase Games has outlined what we can expect from the latest season of the game with a comprehensive roadmap
The latest season of the comic book-inspired shooter game has kicked off, with NetEase Games rolling out the red carpet for players with the Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap.
Since the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 3, the game has taken on a slightly sticky vibe, but it hasn't deterred the players. This is par for the course with comic book fans, to be honest. Knull is in control and has released a symbiote-infected Season 3 Battle Pass, providing players with plenty to battle with the newly arrived Phoenix and the upcoming Blade.

There's still plenty more to come, as NetEase Games has unveiled a raft of new content set to arrive in the game during the latest update now that Knull's takeover has occurred. The company has revealed a new Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap packed with content we can anticipate over the next month. So what exactly is on the horizon? Here's what you need to know about the Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap
The new Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap, shared on Twitter, highlights what we can expect from the latest season of the game on a weekly basis, introducing new cosmetics and events as it progresses. Here's everything that the roadmap reveals:
Friday, July 18 – Marvel Rivals Summer Special Event featuring new swimsuit cosmetics
Friday, July 25 – The Fantastic Four: First Steps cosmetics and a Human Torch / The Thing Special Team-Up
Friday, August 1 – new Phoenix Demon and Phoenix Panther outfits
Friday, August 8 – Season 3.5, introducing Blade
While the roadmap might not be brimming with content, it's certainly thrilling – the introduction of the Fantastic Four's film-themed cosmetics is expected, and it's great to have a date in advance for Season 3.5, and when we'll witness the arrival of Blade. After all, if the MCU can't deliver for fans of the vampire killer, maybe it's NetEase that has to get the job done.
The roadmap may be sparse, but the incoming game content certainly won't be, what with plenty to get stuck into with the Summer Special Event, and new additions to existing gameplay features like a special team-up between The Human Torch and The Thing. Remember, if we don't make The Thing say his catchphrase, this has all been for nothing.

Fans bewildered by actor 'set to replace' Jesse Eisenberg in Social Network 2

Fans have been left baffled at the prospect of an actor replacing star Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg in the sequel to The Social Network. They've called the move 'odd' and questioned its impact on the film's success. There's been a flurry of reports regarding a sequel to the 2010 Oscar-winning movie about the birth of social media platform Facebook and its founder. In June, it was said that original writer Aaron Sorkin had found the right angle for the second movie after teasing the possibility for years and was confirmed to direct it as well, replacing original director David Fincher. According to Deadline, insiders revealed its title was currently The Social Network Part II although it was 'not a straight sequel' to the first movie, which also featured actors Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Max Minghella and Armie Hammer. Since then, the publication has reported that Sorkin is also keen to cast this year's best actress Academy Award winner Mikey Madison, from Anora, and The Bear's Jeremy Allen White, who will soon be seen in the lead role in Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere. But the latest report reveals that Succession star Jeremy Strong is being eyed by Sorkin to play Zuckerberg, whose company has rebranded as Meta, having had a meeting with the filmmaker. As per The Hollywood Reporter, a source claimed that A Real Pain star and scribe Eisenberg – who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in the first film – had 'passed, at least at this time' on the opportunity to reprise the role. 'As much as I love Jeremy Strong he needs to pass on this. This will not help his career. Without Eisenberg, they should cancel this or find a way into the story without Zuckerberg as a character,' announced @WhereIsBatman89 on X, while another fan insisted: 'Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg or this movie is dead on arrival.' 'We do not want him. Bring Jesse back,' commented Poppy, while @DxTCinema asked: 'Why why why we want Jesse.' Meanwhile fan Chandler called the casting rumour 'odd' and others shared their confusion over a lack of immediate similarity in Strong's and Zuckerberg's looks. 'Ah yes that's perfect they look like twins,' quipped Michael K, while Joelyn added: 'The resemblance is uncanny.' But others were thrilled at the prospect of Strong, who also impressed with his turn as Donald Trump's ruthless mentor Roy Cohn in The Apprentice – for which he was Oscar nominated for best supporting actor. 'YUP let's go. His Oscar is loading,' tweeted Mikayla Davis, with Abhinav adding: 'This cast is WILD. If the script hits, we're looking at another awards season sweep.' 'Trying to be calm about this but Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most insane casting coups in history, like we need to give them an Oscar for even thinking about this,' enthused @paaarth319. The Social Network Part II will focus on Facebook's role in the light of the spreading of misinformation ahead of the attempted coup on January 6, 2021 in America, as well as its impact on its young users and violence, and in countries beyond the US too. More Trending It's understood Madison, if she accepts the role, would play whistleblower Frances Haugen, the data engineer who went to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Wall Street Journal. White would be former WSJ tech reporter Jeff Horwitz, who wrote the publication's explosive Facebook Files series of articles based on her information. There was also recognition that Strong could be in contention for a role other than that of Zuckerberg, as there is said to be a part available as a WSJ editor too. European town takes aim at tourists with sassy poster and begs for 'decorum'

Before you leave the beach, put those clothes on (Picture: Getty Images) We all know there's a stereotype of a Brit abroad that's, erm, less than favourable. Wandering around shirtless (and sunburnt) in sliders with socks, if we're not drinking at a Ye Olde pub at 11am, we're hogging sunbeds by the pool. But now, one French town, that claims to have '200 years of elegance' is taking a stand. Les Sables d'Olonne, a seaside resort on France's west coast, is fining tourists for showing too much skin. The mayor asked for a 'little decorum' in their 'elegant' town (Picture: Getty Images) Writing in a Facebook post, Mayor Yannick Moreau, said he wanted to 'clearly' remind visitors that 'it's forbidden to walk around naked or in a swimsuit at Sables d'Olonne'. Mayor Yannick said that it's an 'indecent' habit that the town experiences during the summer, and begged for 'a little decorum, please!' The stern words were accompained by a poster, which featured a play on the March of Progress illustration, often used to depict the theory of evolution from ape to man. Do you recognise the guy in the pink shorts? (Picture: Les Sables-d'Olonne) In Les Sables d'Olonne's poster, the iconic image is in reverse, starting with a decidedly French looking fellow in a beret, and ending with a rather familiar-looking shirtless man, complete with ginger beard, socks and sliders, and cross-body bumbag. The poster confirms that tourists will be slapped with a €150 (£130) fine if they're caught flouting the rules, with a reminder to not 'end up in your underwear in our alleys.' This elegant town doesn't want tourists forgetting their clothes (Picture: Getty Images) The Mayor reminded visitors in his rather sassy Facebook post that Les Sables d'Olonne has 11km of coastline 'to show off your pecs and your best swimsuit'. If you do visit Les Sables d'Olonne — and can manage to keep your clothes on — there's fun to be had. La Grande Plage is perhaps the most popular beach, but there are eight in total, with some ideal for keen surfers looking to ride the waves. There's also a promenade to talk a stroll along, but perhaps the most unique part of the town is Penotte Island neighbourhood. The quaint Penotte Island neighbourhood (Picture: Getty Images) Over the years, the facades of houses and buildings have been covered with colourful moasic murals. It's the perfect place to while away a few hours, strolling the narrow streets and admiring the artwork. Further afield, there are lots of hiking and cycling routes, offering stunning views along the French Atlantic coast. European destinations cracking down on tourist behaviour Les Sables d'Olonne isn't the only place taking a stand. Across Spain, tough new rules have been unveiled for holidaymakers. For example, in Mallorca's Playa de Palma, S'Arenal and Magaluf, and in San Antonio, Ibiza, all-inclusive guests now have a six-drink limit. Under the rules, you can have three drinks at lunch, and a further three at dinner. And, on Magaluf's infamous strip, pub crawls have also been banned. Elsewhere in Palma, there's a crackdown on walking tours. New requirements will see tours limited to 20 people per group, which will likely make them more expensive. And in Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, a whole host of new banned beach items and behaviours were announced. These include things like smoking or vaping, reserving spots on sun decks, collecting shells using an umbrella for shade. Do you have a story to share? Peter has two daughters - Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13, from his previous 12-year marriage to Autumn Kelly. Anne rejected royal titles for her two children, meaning neither Peter nor Zara are "working royals", unlike their cousins, including Prince William, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. After splitting from Autumn in 2020, Peter had a three-year relationship with Scottish divorcee Lindsay before meeting Harriet. More to follow...
