
MoI attends graduation of fourth batch of candidates from Polish Maritime Academy

The Ministry of Interior participated in the graduation ceremony of the fourth batch of officer candidates sent by the ministry to study at the Polish Maritime Academy.
The ceremony was held at the academy's headquarters in Gdynia.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Poland HE Saud bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud along with a delegation from the Ministry of Interior headed by Director of the Human Resources Department Major-General Khalifa Nasr Al Nasr; Assistant Director-General of Coasts and Borders Security Colonel Abdulaziz Ali Al Mohannadi and a number of the ministry's officers.
During the ceremony, graduates who had successfully fulfilled the academic and practical requirements for a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Sciences were awarded their certificates. The rigorous four-year programme included specialised training in maritime navigation, radar operations, and marine engineering.
Qatari student Abdullah Khalid Shams, one of the ministry's candidates, earned top honours by graduating first in his class and receiving the prestigious Sword of Honour, in recognition of his academic excellence and outstanding performance throughout the course of studies.

Qatar sends 49 aid trucks to Gaza via Egypt and Jordan amid ongoing humanitarian crisis
As part of the State of Qatar's ongoing humanitarian support for the brotherly Palestinian people, 49 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, provided by the State of Qatar through the Qatar Fund for Development, in cooperation with Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent Society. The aid will be delivered to the World Food Programme (WFP) for distribution to those in need in the Gaza Strip through the Rafah and Zikim crossings. The aid included 4,704 food parcels allocated to 4,704 families, with a total of more than 28,224 beneficiaries, 200 tons of food baskets targeting approximately 50,000 beneficiaries, 174 tons of flour, allocated to 43,000 beneficiaries and 5,000 units of baby milk, directed to the most needy children. This aid comes amid the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip resulting from the ongoing blockade. Qatari aid convoy enters southern Syria to support local bakeries
A new Qatari aid convoy entered southern Syria from Jordan, comprising 12 trucks carrying 96 tons of flour, as part of the joint humanitarian efforts made by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Damascus and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) to support the brethren in Syria. In a statement on Wednesday, QRCS indicated that the shipment will go to local bakeries, to be used in producing and distributing bread in the affected areas. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent Society (SARCS) will be responsible for handing the flour over to the bakeries based on their respective needs. A few days ago, the first batch of aid was deployed by Qatar's Embassy and QRCS to the same area. Qatar is committed to pursuing its humanitarian efforts to secure the basic needs, especially food, bread, and medical supplies, amid the difficult humanitarian conditions facing the affected civilians there.

30 Qatari students attend 1st summer Holy Quran memorisation course
QNA Doha Thirty outstanding Qatari students participated in the first summer course launched by the Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre, affiliated with the Department of Da'wa and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The course aims to enhance the level of the Holy Quran memorisation and develop participants' educational and academic skills during the summer vacation. The three-week course focuses on the Holy Quran memorisation, with each student memorising two pages per day, along with daily review of previously memorised Quran. The course is part of an integrated educational programme that encompasses Quranic concepts, practical worship, vocal skills, sports activities, and recreational and educational trips. The programme also features courses in various fields, including cybersecurity, as well as chanting sessions and training on performing the call to prayer. This helps hone participants' skills and instil Islamic and moral values within an interactive educational environment. The course is part of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' efforts, represented by the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance, to utilise the summer vacation to offer quality programmes aimed at building a generation aware of its religious and moral values, and qualified to perform the duties of imams, preachers, and religious guidance in the future. A number of participating students expressed their satisfaction with the opportunities the course provided to enhance their memorisation and review of the Holy Quran and learn new skills. They praised the ministry's significant role in organising such quality courses during the summer vacation.
