Launching on the first-ever FSGS Awareness Day, the campaign features a powerful anthem, written and produced by Grammy-winning musician Brian Kennedy and singer-songwriter, David Rush, both living with FSGS. The song celebrates the strength of the FSGS community coming together. The musicians invite the FSGS community to use the soundtrack to post their own creative and artistic expressions on social media, showcasing the unique talents of the community and the stories of individuals who are thriving beyond the limits of FSGS.
"When I received my FSGS diagnosis, it felt like the volume of my life was suddenly turned down. My studio became my sanctuary," said Brian Kennedy, a multi-Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and pianist. "I'm proud to play it forward with music that helps others hear their own strength. Together, we're translating the invisible struggle of FSGS into creative expressions that everyone can witness, creating a soundtrack for solidarity."
"Every FSGS story has the power to make a meaningful difference in someone else's life," said David Rush, singer, songwriter, motivational speaker, FSGS advocate, and patient. "While living with FSGS may try to dim my light, my music replenishes my spirit – that's how I play it forward for others fighting FSGS. This campaign provides a platform for patients and their loved ones to share experiences that offer hope, guidance, and inspiration to others facing similar challenges."
The campaign launch also features a hero video featuring Kennedy and Rush discussing their FSGS journeys and documenting the creation of their anthem. By uniting with the FSGS community, the two artists turn isolation into connection, using their shared experiences to inspire and empower others living with FSGS.

About FSGS
Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a rare proteinuric kidney disorder in children and adults that is estimated to affect more than 40,000 patients in the U.S., with similar prevalence in Europe. The disorder is defined by progressive scarring of the kidneys and often leads to kidney failure. FSGS is characterized by proteinuria, in which protein leaks into the urine due to a breakdown of the normal filtration mechanism in the kidney. Once in the urine, protein is toxic to other parts of the kidney, especially the tubules, and is believed to contribute to further disease progression. Other common symptoms include swelling in parts of the body, known as edema, as well as low blood albumin levels, abnormal lipid profiles and hypertension. There are currently no FDA-approved pharmacologic therapies for FSGS.

While Tracee didn't specify when Oprah's comments occurred, they appear to be from a 2020 interview on her Your Live in Focus series, where Oprah told Tracee how many single women view her as "an example of what being an unmarried woman could and should look like." When asked if she ever imagined playing that role, Tracee laughed, "No. I, like many of us, was taught to grow up dreaming of my wedding, not of my life." She added, "I spent many years dreaming of my wedding, and also, waiting to be chosen. Well, here's the thing. I'm the chooser. And I can choose to get married if I want to, but in the meantime, I am choicefully single, happily, gloriously single." She repeated that message in a 2021 interview with Harper's Bazaar: "People are like, 'You're the poster child for being single.' And I was like, 'Great.' Beyoncé brought the house down Saturday night at the final show of her Cowboy Carter tour in Las Vegas, surprising fans with a Destiny's Child reunion. The chart-topping group went their separate ways in 2006 to pursue solo careers but have reunited a few times since, including during Beyoncé's halftime performance at the 2013 Super Bowl and at her 2018 Coachella headlining set, the latter of which was the most recent public performance together. After the show, Beyoncé shared photos of the reunion on Instagram, with fans flooding the comments to express their excitement and disbelief about the rare occasion. Beyoncé delivered a surprise Destiny's Child reunion to close out the final night of her Cowboy Carter tour — and fans are theorizing it's a teaser of what's to come. The singing icon, 43, ended her epic three-month world tour, which was in support of her 2024 Grammy-winning Cowboy Carter album, in Las Vegas Saturday night. Just as the backtrack to her Renaissance song 'Energy' began playing, Beyoncé emerged from the stage alongside former Destiny's Child members, Michelle Williams, 46, and Kelly Rowland, 44. The music then transitioned to their 2005 smash hit 'Lose My Breath,' as the trio strutted across the stage. They followed with a mash-up of the two songs before bringing the house down with a rendition of their 2001 chart-topping track 'Bootylicious.' Beyoncé later celebrated the moment with a captionless Instagram photo of the three on stage. In the comments below, fans barely contained their excitement, with many declaring: 'This is everything.' Others, however, couldn't help but surmise that the reunion symbolized something bigger. 'What if Act 3 features EVERYONE she did music with,' one suggested, while a second begged: 'This better be Act iii (cause I still want that rock album lol).'
