'Draw that feels like a win': India hails great Test escape
India on Monday lauded their cricketers for pulling off a "draw that feels like a win" in the fourth Test against England to keep the series alive. India, 2-1 down in the five-match series and a daunting 311 runs behind on first innings, batted out Sunday's final day to take it to a decider at the Oval, starting Thursday. His 722 runs are the most scored by an Indian batsman in a series against England, surpassing team-mate Yashasvi Jaiswal's 712 in 2023/24. "Nobody ever doubted Shubman Gill's talent," said head coach Gautam Gambhir . "Those who did, they just know to talk cricket but lack understanding of the game. Some people take time to blossom in international cricket. And no one in the dressing room is surprised by what he has done." Uncapped wicketkeeper Narayan Jagadeesan was on Monday called into the India squad as cover, after Rishabh Pant was ruled out with a fractured foot. The Bills' practices are held primarily on the grass field at the Polisseni Complex which is behind Growney Stadium. There is grandstand seating on the near side, and bleacher seating on the far side, plus ample areas to stand. All practice times are subject to change. Cox makes $4.7 billion offer for Iberdrola's Mexican assets, El Confidencial says
(Reuters) -Spanish renewable energy and water company Cox has submitted an offer to take over Iberdrola's assets in Mexico worth around 4 billion euros ($4.69 billion), newspaper El Confidencial said on Monday, citing unnamed sources close to the process. Spanish utility Iberdrola hired investment bank Barclays to sell 15 renewable power plants in Mexico as it seeks to exit the country on concerns about the legal and tax stability in the country, El Confidencial reported last week. Iberdrola already sold 55% of its assets in the country to the Mexican government for $6 billion in 2024, which the Mexican government called at the time a "new nationalisation" of the electricity market.
