Thug Life, co-produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies, follows Rangaraya Sakthivel Naickar (Haasan), a crime lord, seeking revenge for betrayals within his own gang, including his brother and adopted son, Amaran (played by Silambarasan). The film also explores themes of mistrust, power struggles, and Sakthivel's complex relationship with an influencer, Indrani (played by Trisha Krishnan). Co-written by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, the film also features an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nasser, Abhirami and Aishwarya Lekshmi in pivotal roles. Music maestro A.R. Rahman has composed the music of the film. One of the major reasons behind Thug Life's box office failure could be a call to boycott the project in light of recent remarks made by Kamal Haasan. During a promotional event for the film, Haasan had remarked that 'Kannada is born out of Tamil," which didn't go well with the pro-Kannada groups. Also, previously, the film received criticism for intimate moments with 70-year-old Haasan and 42-year-old Krishnan in the trailer. Up next, Kamal Haasan will be seen in the sci-fi action thriller, Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, along with Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the film is expected to go on floors in December this year. First Published:

Hindi song tribute to Dalai Lama's 90th birthday to be performed in Dharamshala

To celebrate the Dalai Lama's 90th birthday on July 6th, the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) commissioned musician Som Dasgupta to compose a special Hindi song. Dasgupta trained TIPA students in Dharamshala for a music video. Musician Som Dasgupta is on cloud nine. 'In celebration of Dalai Lama's 90th birthday on July 6, the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) has commissioned a special Hindi song to mark the occasion. And they approcahed me to compose the song. This composition, is a heartfelt tribute that blends Indian classical influences with spiritual warmth,' said Som. He added, 'After composing the track, I was invited to Dharamshala by TIPA to personally train its students in performing the song. The sessions culminated in the students recording the track for a special music video that will be unveiled during the birthday celebrations.' Playback singer Mohit Chauhan has lent his voice to the song, alongside Bidisha Sen, a distinguished disciple of Begum Parveen Sultana and Ustad Dilshaad Khan. 'The duo will perform the piece live, accompanied by TIPA's students, in front of the Dalai Lama on July 6,' informed Som. The performance will be broadcast internationally and is expected to be watched by spiritual leaders and global dignitaries. The initiative reflects the powerful role of music in bridging cultures and paying homage to the spiritual legacy of Dalai Lama.

'Lagaan' was one of the best movies of Aamir Khan 's career. The film directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar is also considered one of the best movies of Hindi cinema. In a recent interview, director Apoorva Lakhia who was the assistant director on the film, has recalled some anecdotes and how things were during the shoot. Lakhia revealed that Aamir had hired him largely to take care of the discipline on the set so that people come on time and shoot goes smoothly. He said during a chat with Cyrus Says with Cyrus Broacha, "He wanted to bring a fresh, disciplined approach to filmmaking—something Bollywood hadn't really seen before. On the third day, Aamir was late. "I thank god Aamir was late on the third day. Ronit Roy was doing security. He refused to shut the door and the entire bus was looking at me to see that what is he going to do now? Let's see how he leaves Aamir behind." He elaborated further, "I gave a kick to Ronit Roy and he fell outside the door. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esta nueva alarma con cámara es casi regalada en Temperley (ver precio) Verisure Más información Undo We started the bus and ran from there.'
