Chan Kim eagles 4th again, stretches lead to 5 in the ISCO Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Chan Kim eagled the par-4 fourth hole for the second straight day, this time with a 36-yard chip in a 2-under 68 that stretched his lead to five strokes Friday in the ISCO Championship. On Thursday at Hurstbourne Country Club, Kim holed out from 123 yards on No. 4 and shot a 61 to take a four-shot lead in the opposite-field PGA Tour event also sanctioned by the European tour. 'Obviously, the hole-out on 4 again,' Kim said. 'I don't know what the odds are of doing that, but boy, if I could make four 2s on that hole I'd be very happy.' Kim also holed a 35-foot birdie chip on the par-4 eighth to get to 11 under — with Kris Ventura (64) and Vince Whaley (67) and Thomas Rosenmueller (69) tied for second at 6 under. 'I think this is a course where you just have to stay patient,' said Kim, the 35-year-old former Arizona State player who was born in South Korea and grew up in Hawaii. "I know I shot 9 under yesterday, but the course is not playing that easy.' An eight time winner on the Japan Golf Tour, he's chasing his first PGA Tour title. 'Just keep my foot down.' Kim said. 'I know that these guys are so good, somebody's going to catch up. I already know that. The best I can do is handle myself the way I did when I won all those events and that's just to stay patient and play my game.' The tournament winner will receive a two-year exemption and a PGA Championship spot next year. No one in the field is in the British Open next week. Harry Hall, the winner in a playoff last year at Keene Trace, qualified for the British Open and is playing the Scottish Open. Kim opened with a birdie on the par-5 10th, then dropped strokes on the par-4 11th, 16th and first holes. He eagled the fourth after hitting a 333-yard drive just short of the green, birdied the the par-5 seventh and holed the chip on No. 8. 'I think it's very important to accept that when you do make a mistake, just accept it and go out there with full confidence and plan your next shot and see what you can do from there,' Kim said. David Skinns (64), was 5 under with Rico Hoey (67), Zac Blair (66), Kevin Kisner (69), Nick Hardy (68), Callum Tarren (68), Paul Peterson (68) and Beau Hossler (68). Auburn junior Jackson Koivun was 1 under after a 66. He tied for 11th last week in the John Deere Classic. Kentucky native J.B. Holmes missed the cut with rounds of 74 and 72. He played on a sponsor exemption.

Longhorns basketball adds talented center from London

Texas Longhorns basketball has been busy improving their roster this week. On Tuesday, they signed a talented center in Lewis Obiorah. The London native spent last year playing at Barking Abbey Basketball Academy. While he may be an unknown to many in Texas, Obiorah has been making headlines in the Elite Academy Basketball League. Last year, Obiorah earned EABL championship finals MVP honors while leading Barking Abbey to the EABL championship. He averaged 10.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game and was a human highlight reel every time he stepped on the court. In his first year with the Longhorns, Obiorah will join a roster that has undergone a lot of change. New head coach Sean Miller has been busy in the transfer portal upgrading the offense. Those additions include Dailyn Swain, Camden Heide, Matas Vokietaitis, and Simeon Wilcher. That group will be tasked with turning a program coming off a disappointing season. The Longhorns posted a 19-16 overall record during the 2024-2025 campaign. They struggled on the road and did not do well defending their home court. In his first season calling the shots, Miller is looking to get Texas back to the NCAA Tournament to make a deep March Madness run. With the start of the regular season only a few months away, the Longhorns roster includes three European players. Earlier this week, they signed Germany's Declan Duru Jr. Now that the roster is mostly set, the Longhorns can focus on building their team chemistry. While he still has a lot of room to grow, Obiorah has the potential to be a very good player for the Longhorns and gives Sean Miller another option at center.

Bitcoin hits a record high! UK BSTR Miner: Cloud mining + liquidity mining, helping global investors seize opportunities.

London, July 11, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — 【Click here to learn more about BSTR Miner】 The global digital asset market has reached a milestone. The price of Bitcoin (BTC) broke through the $117,000 mark this week, setting a new record high. This round of strong market not only confirms the long-term resilience of Bitcoin as a digital value storage tool, but also significantly pushes up the profit expectations of global miners. However, traditional physical mining farms face multiple barriers such as high mining machine procurement costs, complex professional technical operation and maintenance, energy price fluctuations and hardware iteration pressure, which hinder ordinary investors from participating. BSTR Miner, a cloud mining service provider headquartered in the City of London, announced that its innovative 'cloud mining + liquidity mining' dual-track model has been fully upgraded, aiming to provide global investors with a more convenient and efficient channel to participate in the prosperity of the Bitcoin ecosystem and seize this round of historic opportunities for digital asset growth. Industry background: computing power asset allocation becomes a new trend The Bitcoin network relies on global distributed computing power to maintain network security and generate new blocks. Miners who successfully verify blocks receive BTC rewards. As the competition for professional mining machine computing power becomes increasingly fierce, the cloud mining model reconstructs the industry ecology through computing power securitization. Users rent computing power units (Hash Power) from certified platforms, and the platform is responsible for mining machine hosting, energy procurement and technical maintenance. Investors obtain corresponding BTC output daily according to the proportion of computing power. BSTR Miner core advantage: UK compliant operation BSTR Miner relies on the European clean energy network and professional mining farm management system to provide differentiated services: Zero operation and maintenance burden The platform is fully responsible for mining machine procurement, global mining farm deployment (including renewable energy hubs in Iceland and Norway) and 7×24 hours technical support, and users have no equipment depreciation or electricity cost risks. Stable income architecture Using Bitmain's latest S21 Hyd mining machine (energy efficiency ratio 16J/TH), deployed in the Nordic data center with stable temperature control and power supply, to ensure the unit computing power output efficiency. Flexible contract configuration Short-term experience: 2-15 day contracts, starting from $10 Medium-term configuration: 20-50 day contracts, enjoy tiered computing power discounts Long-term investment: 60-day and above contracts, lock in low-priced computing power to hedge market fluctuations 【Click here to view all contract details】 Transparent data traceability The user-side dashboard displays the computing power operation status, daily BTC output (settled at 00:00 London time) and cashable balance in real time, and all data can be verified on the chain. Compliance fund management Support mainstream cryptocurrency deposits. [Such as: USDT-TRC20, BTC, ETH, LTC, USDC, BNB, USDT-ERC20, BCH, DOGE, SOL (Solana)]. User income can be directly withdrawn to the crypto wallet or service provider account. Market response and industry outlook This round of Bitcoin rise is accompanied by a net inflow of more than US$1.2 billion in North American spot ETFs in a single week. Eleanor Whitaker, chief strategy officer of BSTR Miner, pointed out: 'The entry of institutional funds strengthens the asset attributes of Bitcoin, but individual investors still need to avoid the risks of physical mining operations. The essence of cloud mining is the financialization of computing power. We are working with the London Clearing House to develop computing power derivative hedging tools, which are expected to be launched in Q1 2026.' Investors can register through the platform's official website ( New users can receive a $10 reward for registration, which can be directly used for contract signing. As of press time, BSTR Miner's UK users have increased by 217% quarter-on-quarter, and the platform's computing power reserves have reached 1.7 EH/s.
