I NEVER really paid much attention to my pout - in fact I'd always thought it was quite nice.
That is, until

Lip plumping glosses, on the other hand, are typically pain-free, much less expensive, and can create that little extra oomph you're after, working almost instantly.
But can any actually match up to the plumping powers of lip filler?
On the quest to achieve a juicier pout without needles and forking out a fortune, I tested out five high-street plumping lip glosses - one of which cost just £4.99.

I'm so obsessed with filler that my huge lips touch my nose - trolls can't understand what I'm saying, but I don't care
While there was slight burning sensation - as expected with all lip plumping glosses - it wasn't unbearable and the tingling stopped in less than five minutes.
Although I certainly did not end up looking like Kylie Jenner with her mega defined pout, I quite liked the subtle results.
However, while my lips felt moisturised and not sticky the effect didn't last too long - but for the wallet-friendly price, you really can't complain.

Priced at £11.99, the pout must-have is essentially a 3-in-1 - it has colour, helps with hydration and plumps your lips, albeit subtly.
As expected, my pout tingled but it didn't have that nasty burning feel which makes you desperate to rub it off instantly.

But while dozens of people online have been loving this lippy, I simply couldn't see the hype.
Yes, my lips did have the illusion of bigger slightly more plump - but the effect lasted less than ten minutes. So unless you're willing to reapply it several times throughout the day, I'd probably give this one a miss.

As someone who doesn't like bright lippies on my face, I opted for Pink Fizz which has a lovely subtle shine to it, without excessive glitter.

The lip gloss - which makes you feel like you're munching on juicy strawberries - has a small applicator that makes it easier to apply the product without making a huge mess.
The best part? There was no tingling sensation - it felt like a basic lip gloss to give your pout some extra shine.
The only downside is the lack of colour options - online, shoppers can find a mere three picks: clear, a slightly pink and red.

Paris-based hair pros say the whole aesthetic is about pretending not to care. Louise Verneuil, a French singer-songwriter told 'It suggests you don't have time but still look cool. More than half of Americans admire the French way of life, with good work-life balance topping the list, survey shows She goes for an 'easy cut' to suit her hair and mood. Louise added: "I prefer something timeless — something fun, not too perfect, that mixes all the movies, books and heroines I love.' Some women even go a week without washing, tying their hair into a messy bun or low chignon when it starts to look greasy. But don't be fooled, while it may look scruffy, it actually starts with really healthy hair. French women invest in good care and keep styling to a minimum. Hairstylist Sam McKnight told The Times: 'French women really look after the health of their hair. "They purposefully underdo it on the styling front." To get the 'Birkin bang' you'll want to go short in the middle, longer at the sides, and then softly frames the eyes. It's wispy, windy, and looks best when it's just a little out of place. Underdone bobs 5 Isabelle Huppert wears a stylish long bob French haircuts tend to be timeless, boho and a bit undone, not too sharp, not too polished. Think chipped-in bobs, grown-out pixies and shoulder-length chops that have a bit of rock 'n' roll about them. French actress, Isabelle Huppert is a great reference for this look. And just because you're getting older doesn't mean chopping it all off. French girl hair isn't really about trends or tools. It's about confidence, coolness and pretending you didn't try, even if you totally did. How often should you be washing your hair? Your scalp is also a living tissue; it sweats, produces oils and sheds skin cells. You wouldn't leave two days between washing your face, and you likely wouldn't wear the same outfit more than a few times before washing it – apply the same thinking to your hair. Write a list Think about all the essentials you need to take with you; suncream, medicine, a few games for the kids, beach towels, and write everything in one list, which you can tick off as you add it to your suitcase. Or for complete ease, try Google's AI app - Gemini - which will create a list for you and help you not over pack. 2. Involve your kids Jemma said: 'My girls are getting older, they're 11 and nine, and they enjoy helping to pack. So I send them a list, and say 'this is what you need' and they follow the list. 'And then I give them a rucksack each - and say to them 'you can have whatever you want in there as long as it's not liquid', and they can take that on the plane. And that's their 'home away from home' items.' 3. Try a hack or two She said: "I think they all work, but for different reasons - and you've just got to pick the right one for your trip. "Rolling your clothes is really good to stop your clothes from getting creases. And if you're trying to get a lot of items into your case, it's a space saver. 'Packing cubes are great - for example, I'm going on holiday with my three kids and we're all using the same suitcase for our clothes. "These handy compartments let you separate your clothes, toiletries and tech into designated cubes, maximising luggage space by keeping your items compressed and neatly stacked. "I love taking them abroad with the family and it means my kids can easily take charge of their own items once we've arrived." 4. Decant beauty products Do you really need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you? The beauty industry has evolved so much, you can now buy shampoo bars or sheets - which are much lighter and smaller. Or, if you'll be popping to the shops when you're abroad, consider buying some items when you arrive. 5. Get organised before you come home Jemma said: 'When you repack on holiday [before coming home], the trick is to separate clean from dirty clothes. 'Also pack it in some form of order - so lights, darks, colours for items that need washing, or if you wash your clothes by person in the household, piles for each person. "Then you can put it straight into the washing machine. Do it straight away, don't leave it." Another added: 'Respectfully, please don't tell me how to pack.'
