Brad Pitt achieves record-breaking box office career milestone

Brad Pitt's latest movie, F1, has sped past all of the other movies in the actor's acclaimed filmography to set a new box office record for the Hollywood star. F1, or to be precise, F1: The Movie, has recently surpassed $545m (£410m) at the global box office, higher than what was once Pitt's biggest hit, 2013's World War Z, which achieved $540m (£407m). In addition, filmmaker Joseph Kosinski's F1 also set a record for Apple Studios as it outperformed Ridley Scott's historical epic Napoleon ($221m) and Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon ($158m), to become the company's highest-grossing theatrical release of all time. Pitt, 61, plays the role of veteran driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the grid after a long absence with fictional team APX GP. Among his other box office hits are Mr and Mrs Smith ($487m), Ocean's Eleven ($450m) and Once Upon a Hollywood ($377m). The Quentin Tarantino-directed Once Upon a Time... also earnt Pitt an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 2020. Asides from films in which Pitt had a lead or major role, the only film he has appeared in with a bigger box office revenue than F1 is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2, in which Pitt appeared in a brief cameo role. The film earnt $785m (£591m) at the box office in 2018. F1, of which seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is an executive producer, was released in June to mixed reviews. In a two-star review The Independent's Clarisse Loughrey wrote: 'For a film both produced by and starring (in a brief but pivotal role) Hamilton, and otherwise happily populated by a real who's who of the current F1 scene, Ehren Kruger's script sidelines much of the real skill involved here, all those split-second decisions of when to pit and when to overtake. 'Instead, we're called on to root for Pitt's washed-up veteran Sonny Hayes, an obnoxiously skewed take on Tom Cruise's Maverick who treats the track like his own personal Ben-Hur chariot race.' Despite its impressive box office takings, F1 is still way off the top of the leaderboard when it comes to the biggest films of 2025. Disney's Lilo & Stitch ($1bn/£753m) and Warner Bros A Minecraft Movie ($955m/£719m) both lead the way in Hollywood, with Jurassic World: Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, trailing just behind after earning an impressive $766m (£577m). These, though, pale in comparison to the Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2, which has earnt $1.8bn (£1.3bn) worldwide. The majority of its box-office revenue has come from China, although it was also released internationally. An English-language version of the film is now in production, featuring voice work from Michelle Yeoh.

Sabrina Carpenter's ‘Man's Best Friend': See the Full Track List

The release date for Sabrina Carpenter's album Man's Best Friend is coming up really soon, and she's finally unveiled the full track list for the upcoming project. For the song title reveals, she's enlisted her fans (and a sweet pup!) to help share the tracks to expect on her seventh studio LP. On Friday, she shared the final track title herself! 'Thank you to all my beautiful perfect fans that helped me reveal the tracklist for Man's Best Friend,' Carpenter wrote. 'The final track reveal is… track #2 'Tears.' Can't believe the album will be in your ears in exactly 4 weeks.' More from Rolling Stone Sabrina Carpenter Celebrates the 'Special Moments' That Followed 'Emails I Can't Send' The Sabrina Carpenter You Don't Know Watch Sabrina Carpenter Perform 'Hungry Like the Wolf' With Duran Duran at BST Hyde Park Along with a photo of herself posing with the sweet puppy, she also shared the full track list written on a wine-stained napkin. Carpenter began the rollout on Wednesday, July 23, beginning with track 12, featuring photos of her lucky fans posing with a director's chair with the song titles embroidered on them, and a sweet golden retriever sitting on the chair. Carpenter kicked off the track list rollout on July 22, revealing Track 12, titled 'Goodbye,' featuring a fan named Mariah. The next day came the name of Track 11, 'House Tour,' before a fan named Kaylona helped reveal Track 10, which features the silly title 'Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry.' It's fair to say she's been naming the songs in backward order. In the caption, she wrote: 'No stress, kaylona's got us. track #10 is 'Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry.'' Over the weekend, July 26 and 27, she revealed Track Nine, titled 'Go Go Juice' ('melina wants u to sip this,' the caption reads); Track Eight, 'When Did You Get Hot?' (with a caption shouting out the fan: 'paige can't relate, she's always been'); and Track Seven is captioned, 'not anything lex knows about. track #7 is 'Never Getting Laid.'' Earlier this week, we got Track Six, 'Nobody's Son.' She captioned the post, 'Listen up everybody! Melissa's here to tell u.' And on Tuesday, came 'We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night' with the help of a fan named Hannah. On July 30, Krystal, a 'real sweet talker,' unveiled Track 4, 'Sugar Talking,' before Steph shared Track 3, 'My Man on Willpower.' With 'Manchild' being the opening track of the record, only Track 2 is set to be revealed, with fans speculating that she might reveal the song during Lollapalooza weekend, when she's set to headline. She's also hosting a pop-up shop for fans over the weekend. On Twitter, Carpenter shared posts from the fans that appear to be featured in the photos, including a post by @overdosedontun that read, 'omggg sabrina asked me to reveal track 11 'House Tour' from Man's Best Friend !!!' In her repost, Carpenter wrote: 'Track 11 stans rise.' Man's Best Friend will follow 2024's Short n' Sweet (its deluxe edition, featuring a 'Please Please Please' duet with Dolly Parton, arrived in February 2025). The cover, in which Carpenter is seen kneeling on the ground, one hand extended toward a figure in a suit who's grabbing her hair, ignited debates online about whether the photo signified female empowerment or empowered the male gaze. The singer poked fun at the controversy surrounding the image and later shared an alternative cover — a starlet captured by paparazzi — and wrote on social media at the time: 'Here is a new alternate cover approved by God.' Carpenter released 'Manchild,' the lead single on her next album, on June 5, and it spent several consecutive days at Number One on Spotify's U.S. chart. See the 's track list 1. 'Manchild'2.
