The oceanfront Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort will open in June 2025, as Hilton Curio Collection's first all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.
The resort, located in the lesser-known town of Miches, will feature 500 guest rooms, including some with private plunge pools, four swimming pools, a waterpark, a spa, and kids' and teens' clubs.
With six restaurants and six bars, guests can savor Taíno- and Caribbean-inspired cuisine, indulge in Thai flavors, or enjoy al fresco dining.
The resort's 5,000-square-foot Acana spa, inspired by Indigenous Taíno traditions, will feature 11 treatment rooms and a series of water-based therapies, along with a hair salon.
About 60 miles from Punta Cana, Miches is a lesser-touristed town on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, home to lush nature preserves and white-sand beaches. This summer, it welcomes a new all-inclusive resort, the first in the country from Hilton Curio Collection.
Slated to open in June, Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton will feature 500 guest rooms, suites, and bungalows, including 123 ground-level rooms with private plunge pools. Other resort highlights include four swimming pools, four water slides, a sprawling beach with cabanas, and a spa that draws inspiration from Taíno culture, once the Caribbean's most populous Indigenous people.
'The region remains untouched by mass tourism, making it an ideal location for travelers looking for a serene, authentic, and upscale escape,' Manuela Fahringe, the hotel's general manager, told Travel + Leisure. 'We are incredibly excited for guests to immerse themselves in our thoughtfully curated Taíno experiences, from our elevated culinary offerings featuring locally inspired cuisine to our world-class wellness programs. Our oceanfront pools, beachfront bungalows, and secluded setting create an unparalleled sense of tranquility.'
Dining options are diverse, with six different culinary experiences, including a Thai spot, a Taíno restaurant serving Indigenous Caribbean food, and a beach grill with live-fire cooking and al fresco dining. Six bars and lounges range from a sports bar to pool and swim-up bars, with Dominican-inspired mixology classes available for those looking for a more hands-on experience.
The youngest guests can visit Coki Cove kids' club for marine conservation workshops, a kids' bakery, and make-your-own recyclable binoculars for birdwatching. For older kids, the Palmchat teens' club features a cinema and a virtual reality escape room. Plenty of family-friendly activities are on offer, too, with pickleball and paddle ball courts and a pool complex with water slides.
On the wellness front, the fitness center offers yoga and other classes, and the 5,000-square-foot spa features 11 treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy circuit, including cold and hot plunges.
Sustainability initiatives are central to the property's ethos. 'Our resort integrates eco-friendly design elements, such as energy-efficient infrastructure and water conservation initiatives,' Fahringe said. 'Additionally, our engagement in beach and turtle preservation efforts and partnerships with conservation programs ensures that Miches' natural beauty remains untouched for generations to come.'
Nightly rates at Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton start from $539, and you can book your stay at hilton.com.
