Arts Center of Coastal Carolina presents 'Waitress: The Musical'
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — Arts Center of Coastal Carolina (ACCC) presents the Tony-nominated Broadway phenomenon, 'Waitress: The Musical.' Running now through June 1, the story centers around Jenna Hunterson, a waitress and expert pie-maker stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage.
Pouring her heart into her pies, Jenna crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as 'The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie' and 'Betrayed by My Eggs Pie.' When a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a chance for escape to a better life, Jenna fights to reclaim a long-forgotten part of herself. Through the support of her fellow waitresses and an unexpected romance, Jenna begins to find the courage to take a long-abandoned dream off the shelf. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

' He added, 'Pride is a way of living. It's personal and political. I cannot separate the two. My every inhalation is pride. Pride is happening for me every second of every day.' New York City Pride events will culminate in a march June 29, New York City Pride's theme for 2025 - 'Rise Up: Pride in Protest' - honors the legacy of the first Pride March in 1970, which commemorated the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The march will offer a premium, ticketed VIP experience on its grandstand, featuring a first-rate viewing spot with comfortable stadium-style seating, plus amenities such as private restrooms, complimentary food and beverages and live entertainment. San Francisco's Pride Parade will begin Sunday morning, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. on Market Street at Embarcadero Plaza. This is expected to have over 250 contingents and last around four hours. Contingents will step onto Market Street and proceed toward the Pride Celebration, ending around Market and 9th. Its theme will be 'Queer Joy is Resistance.' Burgess has succeeded Cole Escola as Mary Lincoln in Oh, Mary!

Comedy is a necessity, says Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston thinks "comedy is a necessity" in life. The 56-year-old actress has cited the Horrible Bosses film franchise as the project that she would most like to revisit in her career. The Hollywood star - who plays Dr. Julia Harris in the Horrible Bosses movies - told People: "Horrible Bosses. Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too. So that's something that we think would be super fun. "The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity. Appearing on The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable - which also featured Nicole Kidman, Jodie Foster, Sofia Vegara, Brie Larson, Naomi Watts and Anna Sawai - Jennifer said: "When you're in an audition room, you're already at a disadvantage. Maybe you'd have chemistry with this person if you were in a different environment, and not, like, 'Create chemistry. Ready? Go!' "And I'm a terrible auditioner, always was. I waitressed forever before I could finally get something, which was a Bob's Big Boy commercial." Jennifer also insisted that she would never get intimate with an actor during a chemistry test. The movie star said: "I haven't been told you're going to have to lay down and [get intimate with an actor for a chemistry test], and if asked, I would never."
