North Myrtle Beach police officer stable after firearm accidentally discharges into leg
This evening, while responding to an unrelated call for service in the Little River area, a North Myrtle Beach Police Officer experienced an accidental discharge of his service weapon, resulting in an injury to his leg,' the department said in a Sunday night Facebook post. 'We are grateful for the quick response of medical personnel and assisting agencies.'
At least 11 people were hurt in the Little River incident, which Horry County police said was a shooting.

The brother of late NFL legend and U.S. Army Ranger Pat Tillman was involved in an early Sunday morning car crash that caused a post office to catch on fire. San Jose Police are investigating a crash that occurred around 3 a.m. local time at the post office in question, per NBC Bay Area, and Richard Tillman was the main suspect as he was taken into custody in relation to the fire. When police arrived, they found a vehicle drove into the post office and caught on fire, which also caused the building to flame up. Richard Tillman also told officers that he was Pat Tillman's brother at the scene, according to the outlet. He said he was live streaming the situation on social media as well. Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office jail records confirm Richard Tillman was booked on Sunday, though no charges have been made publicly known. He also does not have a bail amount with a court appearance scheduled for July 23. San Jose Police is working with San Jose Fire Department arson investigators, as well as the US Postal Inspectors, to determine who will lead the investigation into how the fire occurred in the building. Pat Tillman was an NFL star for the Arizona Cardinals who famously left his career in football to enlist in the United States Army in May 2002. The decision came after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Tillman served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Army Ranger, making several combat tours before being killed in the Afghanistan mountains. While it was initially reported that Tillman was killed by enemy fire, the Pentagon told his family that he was killed by friendly fire. Associated Press Ole Miss freshman football player Corey Adams was killed in a shooting in Tennessee, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday. Law enforcement officials found Adams with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle at an intersection in Cordova on the outskirts of Memphis late Saturday, the sheriff's office said in a statement. 'They provided life-saving measures until Shelby County Fire arrived,' the sheriff's office said. 'Shelby County Fire personnel later pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.' Four other men who suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the incident arrived at nearby hospitals in personal vehicles, authorities said. Law enforcement officials have not named any suspects but said they are investigating the shooting as a homicide. Adams, an 18-year-old New Orleans native, had been one of the top defensive linemen recruits in the country. The football program at the University of Mississippi said in a social media post it was 'devastated' to learn of Adams' death. 'While our program is trying to cope with this tragic loss, our thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,' the team said. 'We ask the Ole Miss community to keep Corey in their thoughts and respect the privacy of everyone involved.'
