Metro In Dino Box Office Collection: Anurag Basu's Eyes ₹50 Crore-Mark Amid Saiyaara Storm
Metro… In Dino managed to earn over ₹4 crore during its third weekend, despite the release of Saiyaara, which is emerging as a box office hit.
Metro… In Dino, Anurag Basu's musical romance drama, continues its steady run at the box office in its third week. Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta, the film explores the complexities of modern relationships through a tapestry of interwoven stories. With consistent audience support, Metro… In Dino is now on course to cross the ₹50 crore-mark soon.
According to sacnilk, the film grossed approximately ₹26.85 crore in its first week, followed by ₹17.15 crore in the second. In its third Friday, it earned ₹1.1 crore and wrapped up the weekend with a total of ₹4.9 crore, despite facing stiff competition from Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
Released on July 18, Saiyaara opened to a massive ₹21 crore in India, according to Sacnilk. Following a blockbuster weekend and equally strong weekday collections, the film's total earnings have reached ₹132 crore. On its first Tuesday alone, it reportedly collected ₹25 crore, based on early estimates.
However, collections dipped during the weekdays. On its third Monday, the film brought in ₹45 lakh, followed by a slight uptick on Tuesday with ₹55 lakh. While the overall decline is notable, Metro… In Dino continues to attract steady footfall in key urban centres like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, where most of its screenings are concentrated. Since its release, the Anurag Basu-directed film has competed with several other high-profile titles, including Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Superman, and more.
Metro… In Dino explores the stories of several couples navigating modern love and relationships. The film delves into the complexities, upheavals, and unexpected decisions that characterise contemporary romance. It serves as a sequel to the 2007 romance drama Life in a… Metro. While Konkona Sen Sharma is the only returning cast member from the original, Pankaj Tripathi plays a character similar to Irrfan Khan's Monty beside her. His role is portrayed as a distinct, emotionally layered individual navigating the challenges of today's relationships.
The film has received praise for its authentic storytelling, strong ensemble cast performances and Pritam's soul-stirring music, which includes tracks like Zamaana Lage, Aur Mohabbat Kitni Karoon, Qayde Se, Dil Ka Kya and others.
Anurag Basu's next project is an untitled musical romance drama with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela in lead roles. The film, produced by T-Series, is expected to be released later this year.

Archana Puran Singh comes out in support of nepotism: 'Bollywood people prefer to work with actors from film families'
Archana Puran Singh recently weighed in on the ongoing nepotism debate, sharing her perspective from personal experience. In a candid conversation with Ajay Devgn on her YouTube channel, she reflected on why filmmakers often place such high value on stardom when casting star kids. Professional habits often begin at home According to her, individuals who grow up in film families typically absorb a sense of discipline and professionalism from an early age. She suggested that this early exposure is valuable for their understanding of the expectations of this industry-whether it is punctuality, behavior on set, or, more importantly, understanding the hierarchy of a film crew. Ajay seemed to agree but added that children from the film industry often learn to keep a stronger line of delineation between acting as a craft and being a star. He meant to say that outsiders sometimes confuse talent with fame without understanding the journey required to hone one's skill. 2025: A year filled with debutante buzz The conversation coincided with a spate of star kid launches in 2025. Junaid Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Ahaan Panday all announced their arrival in the sparkling limelight. Ahaan was especially mentioned in the audience while saying 'Saiyaara', his film, which was a sleeper hit, had won much praise for emotional depth and presence. While the new entrants get mixed reaction online, the whole ruckus has completely blurred the fact that the public is always curious about industry legacies.

Divya Agarwal Remembers Late YouTuber Danish Zehen, Says ‘Regret Not Being Able To See Him Outside'
Divya Agarwal recalls her bond with late YouTuber Danish Zehen from Ace of Space, saying she regrets not getting to meet him outside the reality show. Divya Agarwal is one of the most talked-about celebrities in the reality space. She gained recognition after appearing on Splitsvilla and rose to further fame with Ace of Space, a one-of-a-kind show where she was a co-contestant with the late YouTuber Danish Zehen. Now, in a recent interview, the actor-model opened up about what she will regret the most about the show. In conversation with Filmygyan, Divya shared, 'I will always have this regret that I couldn't see him outside that house, but we had some great times. It took me a while to realise what kind of a guy he was because we were in separate rooms. But jab dosti badhti gayi, I started liking him. He was really talented, and it was that time when YouTubers were doing meaningful things." Ace of Space contestant and popular face on YouTube, Danish Zehen, died in a tragic accident in 2018. Meanwhile, Divya appears to be embracing a more balanced and reflective stage of life, as she is now married to businessman Apurva Padgaonkar. The couple tied the knot in February last year. Divya and Apurva had a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony in Mumbai. A few months ago, Divya and Apurva's divorce rumours surfaced on social media. However, reacting to these speculations, the actress clarified, 'I made no noise. I made no comments or stories. I deleted 2,500 posts. Yet the media chose to see and react only to my marriage. And what are they expecting now – the babies or divorce… none of it is happening (side-eyes emoji)." On the work front, the actress has acted in series like Cartel, Puncch Beat, Abhay, and Fuh Se Fantasy. She also started her own dance academy, Elevate Dance Institute.
