Eid al-Adha distribution project for families of martyrs, missing persons in Amran launched

Saba Yemen04-06-2025
Amran – Saba:
Amran governorate branch of the Martyrs' Families Care Foundation on Wednesday launched its Eid al-Adha distribution project, targeting the most impoverished families of martyrs and missing persons.
At the launch, governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an stated that distributing sacrificial animals to these families embodies loyalty to their sacrifices in defending Yemen, its sovereignty, and independence.
He described this initiative as the least that could be offered to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifices in confronting the "aggression" and thwarting its plans.
The governor urged all to show solidarity, compassion, and assist poor and needy families, especially those of martyrs.
He acknowledged that the Martyrs' Families Care Foundation and the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families cannot meet all needs, particularly under the current circumstances caused by the US-Zionist aggression and blockade.
Ibrahim al-Nunu, Director of the Martyrs Care Authority branch in the governorate, explained that the project involves distributing sacrificial animals to over 1,500 families, with support from the foundation and the governorate's leadership.
He praised the governorate's leadership for their commitment to supporting the efforts of the foundation's and authority's branches.

Zionist settlers burn vehicle belonging to foreign solidarity activists in Hebron

Hebron - Saba: Today, Thursday, Zionist settlers set fire to a vehicle belonging to foreign solidarity activists and threw Molotov cocktails at a Palestinian citizen's house in the village of Susiya in Masafer Yatta, located in the Hebron governorate in the southern occupied West Bank. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted media activist Osama Makhamra from Masafer Yatta, who confirmed that settler gangs burned the vehicle of foreign activists who were inside the home of citizen Nasser Shreiteh. The settlers also poured flammable materials around the house and sprayed pepper gas at the entrance. Makhamra added that Palestinian citizens managed to extinguish the fire, which caused severe damage to the vehicle, in addition to burning water tanks and furniture. In a related incident, Makhamra stated that settler gangs stoned the home of citizen Mohammed Musa, though no injuries were reported. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Hamas Official: Wittekof's visit to Gaza is propaganda to contain rising anger

Gaza – Saba: Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), described the visit of U.S. Special Envoy Wittekof to the Gaza Strip on Thursday as a "propaganda display" aimed at containing escalating anger over the American-"Israeli" partnership in starving the Palestinian people in the Strip. In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), al-Rishq said, "Wittekof sees in Gaza only what the Zionist enemy wants him to see, and he views the ongoing tragedy through misleading Israeli eyes." He added, "He certainly will not witness the operation of the 'starvation guillotine,' misleadingly called the 'Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,' or how it prepares the stage for killing by the Zionist war machine." Al-Rishq emphasized that the White House's acknowledgment of the "Gaza famine" after denying it—without condemning the Israeli enemy responsible—means absolving the perpetrator and providing political cover for the continuation of the gravest crime in modern history. Palestinian Factions: Our people demand unconditional international recognition of their independent state & inalienable rights

Gaza – Saba: The Palestinian factions affirmed on Thursday that "resistance will not cease until the occupation ends and the Palestinian people achieve their goals of liberation, the return of refugees, and the establishment of their fully sovereign independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, as the resistance's arms are fundamentally tied to this just national project." They stated that they had closely followed the proceedings of the recent high-level international conference at the United Nations in New York. The factions noted that the conference came at a critical and sensitive juncture in their people's history, as the Zionist occupation continues its genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, carrying out one of the most horrific starvation campaigns in human history—all while the International Criminal Court demands accountability for its leaders amid global silence. The factions welcomed the conference's emphasis on the Palestinian people's right to a fully sovereign independent state. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), they saluted the "legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, who endure one of the most brutal wars of the modern era with patience and resilience." They declared that "this great steadfastness in the face of the killing and destruction machine has been the cornerstone in thwarting the aggression's objectives," reinforcing their people's right to life and resistance. The factions praised "the heroic role of the resistance in defending our people and upholding their national will amid an uneven war and catastrophic humanitarian conditions." They affirmed that "any international efforts to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights are appreciated and welcomed, as they are a natural outcome of 77 years of sacrifices since the Nakba and a direct result of the growing global solidarity with our people, which has increased pressure on the international community." "Our people demand unconditional international recognition of their independent state and their fixed national rights as a political entitlement and historical justice that cannot be negotiated or delayed," the statement read. The factions stressed that "the path to a solution begins with halting this fascist aggression, ending the genocide and systematic starvation policies imposed by the occupation forces." They reiterated that "the Palestinian resistance is ready to resolve the prisoner issue as part of a ceasefire agreement, provided there is a full withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, the opening of crossings, and immediate reconstruction." They emphasized the need for "a serious political process under international and Arab sponsorship to end the occupation and achieve our people's aspirations for a fully sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital." "Stopping the genocide and starvation in Gaza is a moral and humanitarian duty that cannot be delayed or bargained over," they asserted, adding that "our people's right to life must not be held hostage to political negotiations." The factions condemned the "Zionist occupation as the primary source of terrorism and instability in the region," stating that its "genocide and deliberate starvation in Gaza reaffirm its criminal nature." They argued that "Palestinian resistance in all its forms is a legitimate and natural response to this occupation, a right enshrined in international law and divine justice, and affirmed by global institutions that have witnessed the crimes against our people." "This resistance will only end with the occupation's demise, the realization of our people's liberation, the return of refugees, and the establishment of a sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital," they declared. The factions also addressed internal Palestinian affairs, calling for the implementation of previous national agreements signed in Cairo, Algiers, Moscow, and Beijing to reunify the Palestinian political landscape. This includes reforming the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to strengthen its legal , representative status , holding presidential, legislative, and National Council elections at home and abroad based on democratic principles without preconditions. They affirmed that "the day after the Zionist aggression ends must be a day of Palestinian unity, where all national, political, and popular forces work together in reconstruction efforts to restore our national cohesion and honor our people's sacrifices." The statement rejected any notion of "integrating the Zionist entity into the region as a reward for its crimes," describing it as a "desperate attempt to prolong its existence on stolen land." They argued that recent events, especially in recent months, have proven that this entity is a "primary source of instability, evil, and terrorism, not just in our region but globally." The factions concluded by affirming that "the Palestinian people, like all nations under occupation, will achieve freedom and independence, no matter how long it takes or how great the challenges, relying on the justice of their cause, the resilience of their people, and the support of freedom-loving people worldwide in their legitimate struggle for liberation, return, and independence." The statement was issued by: - Palestinian Islamic Jihad - Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) - Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) - PFLP-General Command - Popular Resistance Forces (Al-Sa'iqa) J.A Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
