Fernando Alonso is a doubt for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix after sustaining a muscular injury in his back. The 44-year-old Aston Martin driver will miss first practice on Friday, with reserve driver Felipe Drugovich taking his place. Aston revealed that two-time world champion Alonso has been managing the issue since the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps last Sunday. The team also admitted that Alonso's participation in Sunday's race is uncertain. He must take part in qualifying on Saturday in order to compete a day later. A team statement read: 'In the days following the Belgian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso has been managing a muscular injury in his back. 'As he continues with treatment this morning, he has chosen to sit out of FP1. 'Felipe Drugovich will drive in FP1 alongside Lance Stroll. 'A decision will then be made on Fernando's participation in FP2 and the remainder of the weekend in due course.' Brazilian driver Drugovich, the 2022 F2 champion, has impressed in previous practice outings for Aston Martin and will be in the garage alongside Lance Stroll at the Hungaroring.

Jersey fundraiser finishes challenge in memory of her mum
A Jersey fundraiser finished her challenge to run 5k (3.2miles) every day through the month of July in memory of her Daly's mum, Nicola, died from malignant melanoma five years ago, which is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other areas of the 27-year-old has raised more than £6,400 for MacMillan Jersey, which supported her mum during her cancer Daly was joined by friends and family throughout her runs and they gathered at the Waterfront Gardens to cheer her on as she finished the challenge. Ms Daly has been sharing her challenge on social media to also make more people aware of the dangers of skin said: "People think it's just skin cancer and you can cut it out and it's gone but that wasn't the case with my mum and it's not the case for a lot of people."Ms Daly added: "The most emotional thing was I just wish she was here," adding: "She would've been there every step of the way and I know she is there but I can't see her or talk to her".It was an emotional finish to the fundraising as Ms Daly shed some tears as she crossed the finish line, and also said: "I've never done anything like this before". Megan Winton was one of the runners who joined Ms Daly on her final run on said it was "for a great cause" and "whatever we could do to help, we jumped up to it"."It was emotional and I'm glad I had my sunglasses as we all got a little bit choked up because it was so beautiful and it's what it's all been about," Ms Winton. Andrew Gardham from MacMillan Jersey liaised with Ms Daly on her fundraising challenge for the cancer said: it was "absolutely fantastic to see Daisy finish off after all of her hard work", and that it was "really important for us to have fundraisers like Daisy".Mr Gardham added: "Not only has Daisy raised fantastic funds but also by sharing her story so bravely, it's been so impactful for other people to be diligent and to be careful in the sun." MacMillan Jersey advises that people stay in shade when the sun is at its strongest, cover up skin when UV rays are high and wear suncream on exposed skin to reduce the risks of getting skin cancer.

Manchester United handed triple injury boost ahead of new season
Manchester United play their first Premier League game of the season against Arsenal in two weeks and Ruben Amorim could soon have three injured players back in his plans Lisandro Martinez is closing in on a Manchester United return ahead of the new season. The Argentine defender has been ruled out since February with a serious knee injury. But he is edging towards a return to the side, with further progress made during United's pre-season tour in the United States. Martinez is continuing his rehabilitation with his teammates in Chicago as he aims to return to the pitch. The Manchester Evening News suggest that the defender is set to resume light training as part of an individual programme. He is not, however, ready to train alongside his teammates just yet. That means Martinez could still be sidelined for United's Premier League opener against Arsenal in just over a fortnight. Speaking ahead of that game, Martinez said: 'The club is obviously going through a process of change. Since Sir Alex Ferguson 's departure, they haven't found a manager who hits the right note. Ten Hag did a remarkable job at Ajax, which is why he went to United, and thanks to him, I joined the club as well. "It's like everything in life: you take a gamble, and sometimes it works out well, sometimes it doesn't. I think that, like any club, if something isn't working, it needs to be changed. It's necessary to analyse what's working and what isn't and make changes accordingly because that's how great clubs operate. Manchester is one of the best clubs in the world. Speaking about his issue, Zirkzee said: "I've got a small injury but it shouldn't take too long to recover now. I've got great physios working with me every day. "It's not a serious problem. It's pre-season so unlike last season where I wanted to push myself to be back for the final, obviously now I just want to be there for the start of the season." United take on Everton on Sunday before their final pre-season game against Italian side Fiorentina in just over a week's time. They then have a further eight days to fine-tune any aspects of Ruben Amorim's tactics ahead of the season opener against Arsenal.
