90s boyband star marries for third time in Cornish beach ceremony

Metro2 days ago
Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has married for the third time, tying the knot with long-term partner Danielle Parkinson in a romantic beachside ceremony in Cornwall.
The 44-year-old Irish pop singer, who rose to fame in the late 1990s as 1/5 of one of Ireland's biggest boybands, said 'I do' to Danielle in front of close friends and family in a picture-perfect coastal celebration.
Brian and Danielle, who share three-year-old daughter Ruby, kept the ceremony intimate and relaxed, exchanging vows barefoot on the sand with the sea as their backdrop.
Friends described the natural, laid-back setting as 'perfectly them.'
Danielle, a PE teacher from Manchester, looked radiant in a simple, elegant gown with her hair styled in soft waves.
Brian opted for relaxed beachwear with a formal twist rather than a traditional tux.
While the beach celebration in Cornwall was their most public celebration, it followed a legal wedding held earlier in Ireland, closer to Brian's roots in Dublin.
The pair reportedly wanted a second ceremony to mark the occasion with their loved ones in a place they often holiday as a family.
After announcing their marriage, friends and fans were quick to congratulate them, with Towie's Gemma Collins commenting: 'Congratulations!'
Fellow Irish pop duo Jedward also said: 'The vibes are perfection', while former bandmate Ronan Keating's wife, Storm, added: 'Congratulations guys!'
This marks Brian's third marriage, as he was previously married to Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, with whom he shares two daughters, Molly and Lilly-Sue.
Their relationship was all over the media in the Noughties but ended in divorce in 2004.
Kerry has said nothing but lovely things about her ex-husband's new beau, sharing that she 'gets on really well' with Danielle: 'I think I might have a girl crush on her. I always go off of what my girls say for a stepmum, and she's the best stepmum.
'On Mother's Day, I sent her a message. I went, 'Happy Mother's Day, Danielle.' I think she's lovely, and they've got a beautiful little girl, Ruby.'
'I wish them nothing but joy and happiness,' she added on the podcast Meeting… Kerry Katona.
Brian married Irish model and presenter Vogue Williams in 2012, but the pair split three years later.
Vogue went on to marry Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews, with whom she shares three kids.
Brian's relationship with Danielle has been notably more private than his last. They started dating in 2016, having met through mutual friends, and have largely stayed out of the spotlight.
However, the newlyweds share occasional glimpses of their life together on social media.
Alas, their relationship hasn't all been rainbows and roses, as they had a difficult journey to parenthood, with Danielle suffering two miscarriages.
Brian and Danielle were open about their struggles with fertility and went through IVF before welcoming Ruby in 2021.
At the time, Brian described the moment as 'life-changing' and praised Danielle's strength.
Now, with a new chapter officially underway, the couple appear more in love than ever.
While Brian is best known for his time in Westlife—with global hits like Flying Without Wings, Swear It Again, and World of Our Own—his post-boyband life has taken many forms.
After leaving the group in 2004 to pursue a solo career, he dabbled in TV presenting, reality shows, and musical theatre. More Trending
In recent years, he's taken a step back to focus on family and live performances.
Despite the fame and the public breakups of the past, Brian has credited Danielle with bringing balance to his life.
In interviews, he's called her his 'rock' and described her as the most supportive partner he's ever had.
Danielle, meanwhile, is a former heptathlete who has built a career in education and fitness.

Eamonn Holmes and Fiona Phillips' real relationship off screen as star admits thing she 'hated'

Fiona Phillips and Eamonn Holmes presented GMTV together for almost a decade and were known for their great bond but it seems everything was not as smooth sailing between them behind closed doors. During Eamonn Holmes' nine year stint on the GMTV sofa, he presented the morning news alongside his former co-host Fiona Phillips. The presenting duo worked together on the ITV show from 1996 until 2005 when the Irish host made his exit, saying it was "right to move on". Fiona, 64, and Eamonn, 65, shared a close bond with the GB News presenter saying he would 'particularly miss their friendship' when he left as Fiona replied: "This is our ninth year together. I will miss him more than words can say." However, behind closed doors, the pair's relationship was not as smooth sailing as it seemed with Fiona recently confessing that Eamonn "wasn't the easiest person to work with". ‌ As the mum-of-two reflects on their time working together, here's the low down on their rocky friendship, starting with Fiona revealing the things that used to really irk her about working with Eamonn, the Mirror reports. ‌ Fiona Phillips accuses Eamonn Holmes of 'taking over' in interviews When Eamonn made his GMTV exit, he said: "What a privilege it has been to wake up the nation over the years with stories that affected all our lives. I've covered every type of story imaginable at GMTV and it's the right time to move on." Fiona joked she had spent more time with Eamonn than her own husband, GMTV boss, Martin Frizell, but recently told the Mail it "felt like a new opportunity" for her, having claimed she felt side-lined as his co-host. She also told the Mail that Eamonn "wasn't the easiest person to work with". ‌ She added: "For years, if there was a big interview to be done with a politician, Eamonn would lead the conversation and I was supposed to chip in with a few questions near the end - and I hated that." Bitter pay dispute Fiona and Eamonn were an iconic duo on the ITV show between 1996 and 2005 and had a lot of loyal viewers who enjoyed tuning in to watch them present together. However, Fiona has now claimed she was a "relative pauper" compared to her colleague, who she said was paid "significantly more" than her. ‌ Writing previously in her column for the Daily Mirror, she said that despite being hailed as 'the Queen of Breakfast Telly', she was 'a relative pauper in relation to my on-screen King, Eamonn Holmes.' She also claimed that her co-star received perks she wasn't deemed worthy of. She said: "Monetarily I was well adrift of my on-screen partner who also had 'perks' that I clearly wasn't deemed worthy of.' ‌ Eamonn in huge bust-up with Fiona's husband Eamonn and his ex-spouse, Ruth Langsford, reportedly had a huge row with Fiona's husband, Martin Frizell, who was the boss of GMTV. ‌ ‌ The row began after they were asked to host former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon with a Christmas bauble live on air ahead of the 2019 General Election. Martin reportedly asked Eamonn and Ruth to hand over the gift, and in exchange Nicola would give the two a traditional decoration. However, the Northern Irish presented did not like the idea and reportedly argued that presenting gifts would break strict impartiality rules for broadcasters in the weeks for the big election. ‌ A source told MailOnline: "Martin exploded, saying he was the editor and he decided what happened on the show. "He then refused to go to Eamonn's dressing room for the pre-show meeting with the presenters. "The producer was having to run back and forth between the news room and the dressing room to convey Eamonn's fury to Martin and Martin's fury to Eamonn."

It follows a row over an investigation by counter-terror police into rapper Mo Chara, who is accused of terrorism offences related to a Hezbollah flag he allegedly held up on stage. They apologised to fans following the TRNSMT decision, and in a bid to "try to make up for it", the band decided to put on a show at the O2 Academy. And ahead of their show, police and sniffer dogs were scouring their dressing room. A video which was shared on the band's Instagram shows an officer leading a dog around the room while members sit on some sofas. Another snap on the group's Facebook shows a van with a 'search dogs' sticker on the side. Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar are also performing in the city today, with Police Scotland "aiming to minimise disruption". Cops also stated that a "proportionate and considered policing plan" is currently in place during the gigs. Superintendent Paul Douglas said: "We are aware of a number of events and concerts due to take place in the Greater Glasgow area in the week beginning Monday July 7 2025. "A proportionate and considered policing plan is in place within the city and we are working with a number of stakeholders to ensure the safety of all those attending these events and where possible minimise disruption to the people of Glasgow." Crowds gather as Kneecap play Glasgow gig after TRNSMT axe Pictures from the venue earlier showed the group arriving and waving to fans, with member Móglaí Bap wearing a classic Celtic Bumblee away shirt. Meanwhile, Mo Chara greeted fans with a peace sign as security led the pair into the venue. Police were also standing by outside the O2 with pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered nearby. Door staff were ordering fans to remove tricolour-style balaclavas, like that worn by Kneecap member DJ Próvaí.
