Anna Bjurstam, Six Senses Wellness Pioneer said: 'Bringing Alma Frequency to Crans-Montana feels like a natural evolution in our Integrated Wellness philosophy and continues the Six Senses purpose to take guests beyond destinations into new discoveries. We are stepping into a new realm of possibility, where the raw beauty of the Alps merges with the latest voices in wellness to create a shared experience that is intellectually stimulating, grounding, and expansive.'
Alma, which is Spanish for 'soul,' is the brainchild of Talana Bestall, who sought to curate a gathering rooted in longevity and well-being. Talana describes: ' Alma Frequency is a feeling, a frequency, a community. A space where fresh perspectives take you beyond your comfort zone. It has become a global movement of self-discovery and meaningful reconnection that extends far beyond the experience.'
More flexible than a retreat, more intimate than a festival, this high-impact gathering enables guests to choose their own adventure based on the sessions that appeal to them. They can hike, eat, move, and share ideas freely with visionaries in a collaborative setting. Since April 2020, Six Senses has explored different aspects of wellness through the Friends of Six Senses series, which fosters a platform and audience for powerful voices to open the mind to future growth. Alma Frequency marks its latest manifestation, helping participants reflect, understand and relate more deeply to themselves, others, and the world around them.

Longevity & Performance: Featured speakers at the forefront of functional medicine, hormone optimization, and biohacking include James Nestor, breathwork expert and bestselling author, Dr. Jessica Shepherd, a leader in women's health and longevity, and Taryn Toomey, founder of The Class, a cathartic movement experience that is taking the world by storm.
'Breathing is not a culture, trend, supplement, or hack. It is a biological function, and by adopting better habits, you can literally change your biology in ways that are studied and measurable,' says James Nestor. 'You can change the way your mind operates and how blood pumps through your veins. I see health aficionados all the time who are doing everything else right, but they're terrible breathers. At Alma Frequency, we'll explore how functional breathing can transform energy, focus, and overall vitality.'
Movement & Strength: full-body sculpting and an unforgettable mountain adventure with nature hikes and

UAE Embassy Issues Advisory As Spain Issues Red Alert For Rain

The UAE Embassy in Madrid has issued a safety advisory urging Emirati citizens in Spain to exercise extreme caution after Spanish authorities declared a red alert for torrential rains in Catalonia. On Saturday, Spain's national weather agency AEMET placed much of the northeastern region, including Barcelona and Tarragona, on the highest-level weather alert. The forecast warned of up to 90mm of rainfall per hour, raising fears of flash floods and triggering widespread transport disruptions. In an official statement, the UAE mission in Madrid stressed the importance of adhering to safety instructions issued by local authorities. Citizens were urged to stay informed, avoid high-risk areas, and register with the Tawajudi service. For emergencies, Emiratis in Spain can contact the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 0097180044444 or 0097180024. The torrential downpour led Spain's national railway operator to briefly suspend train services across Catalonia. Roads were blocked, a hospital in Barcelona flooded, and a US-bound flight was forced to return after hail damaged the aircraft mid-air. Beyond Catalonia, an orange alert was issued for parts of Aragon and the Valencia region due to the risk of heavy rain. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to escalate safety measures if conditions worsen. The red alert follows a history of deadly floods in Spain, including one of the worst in decades last October when 225 people died in Valencia due to torrential rain.

Eva Longoria explores ‘family heritage' on Searching for Spain

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Eva Longoria learned more about her 'Spanish heritage' while shooting her new documentary. The 50-year-old actress previously explored the culture and food of Mexico on 'Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico', her 2023 documentary series - but Eva admits that she learned much more about her own family heritage while filming the follow-up series, 'Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain'. The Hollywood star - who has Mexican and Spanish ancestry - told Byrdie: 'I'm Mexican American and I always felt at home in Mexico. I knew [the country] and learned even more while doing 'Searching for Mexico'. 'But my dad had always said we were also from Spain. I used to say, 'No, we're not.' Then I took a DNA test, and it was confirmed.' Eva jumped at the chance to film a follow-up series in Spain, and it proved to be hugely informative for the actress. She said: 'When CNN wanted to do the next season, I said, 'We should do Spain because my ancestors are from Spain.' Shooting 'Searching for Spain' was different, though, because I didn't know [the country] as well. 'In this series, you'll see that my questions are genuine and my curiosity is heightened. I was excited to learn more about my Spanish heritage.' Eva loves that she has such a personal connection to the new documentary series.
