Fly, Eagles fly: Super Bowl rings feature pop-out wings
The Eagles received their diamond-draped jewelry in a team ceremony on Friday night honoring their 40-22 win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
"Our Super Bowl LIX Championship Ring represents the commitment, determination, and sacrifice of every member of our organization who helped deliver another World Championship for Eagles fans everywhere," Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. "From the start of training camp to our celebration on Broad Street, this team was deeply connected on every level. Our players, coaches, and front office staff all worked so tirelessly throughout the season to raise another Lombardi Trophy."
In addition to the unique wings feature, the rings include two sayings from head coach Nick Sirianni: "You can't be great without the greatness of others," and the mantra "Tough. Detailed. Together."
Forty points of diamonds spell out "World Champions," reflecting the number of points Philadelphia put on the scoreboard to win its second Super Bowl championship.
The five diamonds on the special feature button represent the five Eagles players who scored against the Chiefs: Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Cooper DeJean and Jake Elliott.
Scores from all of Philadelphia's playoff wins are inscribed inside the ring along with the number 145, representing the record total of postseason points the Eagles tallied.

An undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M, Braman entered the league in 2011 with the Houston Texans . He played three seasons there before spending the next four years with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also played at Idaho and Long Beach City College. Braman's final game was Super Bowl LII as a member of the Eagles, who defeated the New England Patriots . He proudly celebrated in the postgame celebration holding his daughters. Braman said after retirement that winning the Super Bowl and his daughters were 'the three greatest accomplishments in my life.' The Eagles issued a statement Thursday. 'We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bryan Braman,' it read. 'During his four seasons in Philadelphia, Bryan was a loyal teammate, a supporter of the community, and a valuable member of our Super Bowl LII-winning team. More importantly, he was a devoted father who passionately loved his family and everyone around him. 'We extend our deepest condolences to Bryan's family and all who are grieving his loss during this difficult time.' Braman, a special teams ace in his playing days, underwent multiple surgeries in the Seattle area this year. Former Texans teammate J.J. Watt was among the contributors to his GoFundMe effort, raising around $90,000 to help cover medical costs.

Ryan McMahon aims to propel Rockies to sweep of Twins
July 20 - The Colorado Rockies will look to turn their first home series win of 2025 into a three-game series sweep on Sunday when they host the Minnesota Twins in Denver. The Rockies recorded a 6-4 win over the Twins on Friday and a 10-6 victory on Saturday. "That's definitely a nice building block," Colorado interim manager Warren Schaeffer said. "We want series wins at home. Nobody wanted it to take this long to get it, but it doesn't matter. We got it right now." Colorado's last home series sweep was against the Texas Rangers on May 10-12, 2024. "I feel we're capable of this, even more," said Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon, who homered on Saturday night. "It's just coming out there and making sure we're doing it every single day, having a process of how we're going to get it done, instead of just talking about what we want to get done." McMahon has homered in consecutive games to bolster his trade stock. "It drives my wife crazy," McMahon said, per of the trade talk. "I try not to look at it, dude. If I'm going somewhere else, I'm going to do the same stuff that I do here." Ezequiel Tovar and Hunter Goodman also homered for Colorado on Saturday. The Rockies are scheduled to send right-hander German Marquez (3-10, 5.57 ERA) to the mound on Sunday. He has been stingy in two career starts against the Twins, posting a 2-0 record and 0.71 ERA. In Marquez's most recent start against Minnesota on June 24, 2022, he surrendered only three hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings but walked five and struck out two in the 1-0 victory. Colorado will have to solve right-hander Joe Ryan (9-4, 2.72) to complete the sweep. Ryan is 1-0 against the Rockies in his career two starts but with an 8.10 ERA. His last start against them came Sept. 29, 2023, when he gave up six runs and eight hits in five innings with a walk and six strikeouts in a 7-6 Minnesota win. He did not figure into the decision. The Twins have lost three games in a row. "The bottom line is we've got to play better baseball, and we haven't been able to do that consistently this year," Minnesota shortstop Carlos Correa said. "There's 60-some games left (64) and we've got to figure out a way to put ourselves in a better position. July 20 - The Milwaukee Brewers not only will be chasing a 10th consecutive victory on Sunday, they will be out to finish a perfect 6-0 season series against the host Los Angeles Dodgers. Neither team has gone perfect against the other in a single season, with the Brewers going 6-1 in the 2012 season series that included a 4-0 mark on the road. Milwaukee's latest victory over Los Angeles came Saturday after Isaac Collins and Joey Ortiz hit home runs and William Contreras added a two-run double in an 8-7 decision. All-Star right-hander Freddy Peralta tied a season high by allowing four runs, but the bullpen did just enough with Trevor Megill pitching a scoreless ninth inning for his 23rd save. The Brewers are one game behind the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central, one season after they won the division by 10 games but were eliminated in the wild-card round of the playoffs. "That's what's kind of cool and unique about us: While there's not a bunch of big names, there's a bunch of guys who are hungry still," Brewers manager Pat Murphy said, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "They remember the kind of year they had last year and how it ended. I think they're still hungry." The Brewers will send left-hander Jose Quintana (6-3, 3.28 ERA) to the mound for his second consecutive start against the Dodgers. The Dodgers are set to send veteran left-hander Clayton Kershaw (4-1, 3.38 ERA) to the mound after he retired the two batters he faced at Tuesday's All-Star Game. Kershaw will be facing the Brewers for his second consecutive start, giving up two runs on six hits in six innings on July 8 in what ended up as his only loss of the season so far. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave No. 2 hitter Mookie Betts the day off just two days after the season resumed from the All-Star break. Betts was 3-for-28 (.107) over his previous seven games. "He was more than willing and wanting to be out there, but for me, I felt I wanted to take (the decision) out of hands," Roberts said. "... I don't know how long (the rest) is going to be. It could be one night, it could be two. My expectation is that he will be back in there (Sunday)."
