And it's also important to remember that in cases of extreme heat or rain, some outdoor activities may be cancelled.
The Spanish state's meteorological agency warned that from this weekend on, the stark contrast in the Spanish weather will continue going forward.
Weather bosses said: "From the weekend there will be a slight to moderate rise in temperatures which will become generalised during the following days, giving rise to a probable episode of heatwave".
It is likely that the beginning of August will see temperatures reaching huge highs.

It's most likely to impact the south-western quadrant and central mainland areas, due to an air mass coming in from
Chiefs added: "This, together with the high depression in most of the country, will cause higher thermal values than usual for this time of year to be recorded in the aforementioned areas."
HOTTEST DAY
The heatwave is due to start on August 3, and the hottest day has already been revealed.
Aemet has revealed that temperatures will be highest on Monday, August 4, reaching up to 42C.

The forecaster said: "On Sunday 3 August, highs will already exceed 38C across the southwest quadrant, reaching 40 - 42C in the Guadiana and Guadalquivir valleys.
"The peak day of the heatwave is expected to be Monday August 4, when the thermal rises will continue and extend to the inland areas of the Cantabrian coast, where they could be locally noticeable.
"On this day values close to 40C will also be recorded in the Tagus and Minho valleys, and it is very likely to exceed 42C in the area of the Guadiana and Guadalquivir."
On Tuesday August 5, the central and inland areas of the south will see "abnormally warm values", the forecaster warned.

Here, highest temperatures could reach or even match the highs that Monday is set to bring.
Aemet added: "Although the rise in minimum temperatures will not be so widespread and marked, it will be enough for night-time temperatures to be significant over the next few days.
"In fact, the mercury is not expected to drop below 23 - 25C in large areas of the centre and south of the Spanish mainland, mainly on Monday and Tuesday."

The only place in the world ‘without time' is a beautiful island where the sun doesn't set for 69 days in the summer

The islanders signed a petition to become a "time free zone" TIMELESS ESCAPE The only place in the world 'without time' is a beautiful island where the sun doesn't set for 69 days in the summer A TINY fishing village where the sun doesn't set for 69 days is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Home to just 300 people, the island's residents have chosen not to live by strict time conventions and instead "do what they want—when they want". 6 Traditional wooden huts on Sommaroy Island Credit: Getty 6 The Midnight Sun in Sommoroy Credit: Getty 6 It is a great place to see the Northern Lights Credit: Getty Sommarøy meaning summer island has constant sunlight between May 18 to July 26 every year. You can walk across the gorgeous wind sandy beaches at 2am, and stroll amongst the gorgeous Arctic mountains whilst others are sleeping. Due to its northern location, it hardly ever gets warm in Sommarøy, with average temperatures between seven and 15 degrees. And in the winter, the midnight sun is replaced by constant darkness, which occurs between November and January. The long polar nights are perfect for seeing the Aurora Borealis, which can light up the sky at any time during the "day" or "night". The island's economy depends on fishing and tourism and there's so much to do for visitors, including hiking, swimming and kayaking. Time free zone Due to it's unusual daylight hours, Sommarøy exists without the normal time constraints placed on society. In fact, the iconic Sommarøy Bridge, which is used as a way to access the island is covered in watches from visitors, who want to ditch the concept of time whilst on the island. In 2019, the inhabitants launched a campaign to make Sommarøy "time free". 'In many cases this can be linked to the feeling of being trapped by the clock", ' Kjell Ove Hveding, the leader of the campaign said. "We will be a time-free zone where everyone can live their lives to the fullest … Our goal is to provide full flexibility, 24/7. "If you want to cut the lawn at 4am, then you can do it." The campaign called for opening hours to be abolished, and for people do be allowed to do whatever they liked at any time of day. World's loneliest island 1,400 miles away from people has a dark past Residents of the island said: "Here we enjoy every minute of the midnight sun, and yes, a coffee with friends on the beach at 2am is a normal thing.' It was later revealed that the campaign was partly a marketing ploy by Visit Norway, to boost tourism to the island. However, the island's residents did have a meeting to sign a petition to become the word's first time-free zone, and their unique attitude to time is real. 'We apologize as we should have been [clearer] from the start about the role of the agency", Marianne Mork, former head of business communications for Visit Norway, told CNN. "However, the initiative is real and came from the islanders themselves, and their time-free way of living is real." Hundreds of ESB customers in still without power following Storm Floris' 104kph wind gusts as worst hit area revealed

Storm Floris was the sixth named storm of the season. LIGHTS OUT Hundreds of ESB customers in still without power following Storm Floris' 104kph wind gusts as worst hit area revealed HUNDREDS of homes across Ireland remain without power following Storm Floris, which brought extreme winds and gales to the island over the bank holiday weekend. The storm, which made landfall in the early hours of Monday morning, impacted over 10,000 homes and businesses across the country. Advertisement 3 The storm, which received weather warnings in eight counties impacted over 10,000 homes and businesses across the island. Credit: Getty Images - Getty 3 Winds peaked at over 100km/h in parts of the country Credit: Getty Images - Getty Met Eireann said that the height of the storm saw average wind speeds of between 60kph and 70kph. On Malin Head in Inishowen, speeds reached 104kph. Several flights were cancelled in Northern Ireland due to the severity of winds. In Dublin airport, flight operations continued as usual, despite the cancellation of six flights by Emerald Airlines. Advertisement Tuam, Co. Galway, saw over 3,000 customers lose power, making it the worst area hit in the country. ESB Networks has said that as of this morning, 270 customers remain without power. Since Monday, a major repair campaign has been underway to reconnect all households, farms and businesses left without power. However, the vast majority of homes across the country have regained power since the storm. Advertisement The storm, which prompted weather warnings in eight counties, has been described as a "small weather event". Speaking on RTE's Morning Ireland, Senior Forecaster with Met Eireann, Gerry Murphy, said: "In the broader scheme of things, it's still a relatively small weather event". He added: "The main issue with this particular weather event is really the time of year and the weekend that it's occurring. Storm Floris hits with 90mph 'danger to life' wind set to wreak havoc – as thousands told do NOT travel "So in terms of its potential impacts, it had a greater weight than a wet, windy day perhaps in a non-bank holiday weekend or a non-tourist time of the year." Advertisement While Ireland may have escaped the worst effects of the storm, the same cannot be said of Scotland. SORRY SCOTLAND According to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, over 70,000 homes were left without power in Scotland due to storm Floris. As of this morning, 50,000 homes have had their power restored; however, 22,000 still remain powerless. Flights and rail services were also severely affected, with up to 119 incidents reported on rail lines and up to 68 departure flights thought to be cancelled in the UK as a result of the storm. Advertisement BETTER WEATHER In the wake of the bad weather, Met Eireann is predicting a warm and sunny week. Temperatures today will sit between 17C and 21C across the country. Tomorrow and Wednesday will see similar temperatures with "hazy sunshine" in the morning; however, clouds will thicken throughout the day. Over the coming weekend, temperatures are expected to remain relatively cool between 16C and 21C with occasional winds that will be stronger in the north and northwest. Advertisement On Saturday, conditions will be mostly dry and bright; however, on Sunday, showers and longer spells of rain are expected.
