Israeli army claims to have 'eliminated' Hamas commander involved in 7 October attacks

Middle East Eye11 hours ago
The Israeli military issued a statement claiming its fighters have "eliminated" a Hamas commander who it said was involved in the attacks on southern Israel on 7 October 2023.
In a statement on Telegram, the army said it had killed Taha Abu Ayadeh, who it claimed was a commander in the Nukhba forces, a unit of Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades.
The army said Abu Ayadeh led an attack on a petrol station in the Magen Kibbutz in southern Israel on 7 October, and had led multiple attacks on Israeli forces in Gaza since then.
