Isle Of Jura targeting September Stakes reappearance

Isle Of Jura is on course to make his long-awaited comeback in the September Stakes at Kempton.
The son of New Approach has been off the track for more than a year following his impressive win in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot last season.
The five-year-old is back in work but Scott will not rush a racecourse return as he prepares Isle Of Jura for a campaign in the Middle East.
Scott said: 'Isle Of Jura is great. I'm really, really happy with him. He's had a few weeks cantering now.
'We're tentatively aiming for the September Stakes at Kempton as a prep run for a Middle Eastern campaign which can start in Bahrain for the Bahrain International.
'It's a little way away at the moment, but we're pleased with the way he's coming along and we're thinking of Kempton for his return.'

England fan, 8, left Ian Wright in stitches with response to Alex Scott question

England will be looking to win a second straight Euros title when they face Spain in the final on Sunday, with one young Lioness fan guaranteed to be tuning in England supporters are buzzing with anticipation for Sunday's Euro 2025 final against Spain, hoping to replicate the joy of three years ago. BBC pundits Ian Wright and Alex Scott couldn't contain their laughter when young fan Tess stole the show during the previous tournament's closing stages. ‌ Tess was just eight years old when she became a viral hit with her jubilant dancing in the stands. The performance even earned her a personal shout-out and a present from her hero, Alessia Russo. ‌ Tess, who is now 11 and playing in the Doncaster Belles academy, was caught on camera grooving to 'Sweet Caroline' as the Lionesses demolished Sweden 4-0 at Bramall Lane during Euro 2022. Her infectious energy landed her on BBC Breakfast and live during the coverage of the semi-final between Germany and France. ‌ The enthusiastic supporter scored tickets to the final and even earned a pass into the BBC broadcast studio. There, she was joined by Wright, Scott, Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall and host Gabby Logan, while commentator Jonathan Pearce was left in tears over the incident. Logan had a special treat for Tess as she asked her: "I know Russo's a big fan of yours, well you're a big fan of hers, she probably is a big fan of yours. Do you still think she could be the difference today?" Russo was still a Manchester United player but has since made the jump to Arsenal, where she won the Champions League this season. And Tess was full of confidence as she responded: "Yeah. I feel like she could do a lot of things to help our team." Logan went on: "Yeah she's been doing brilliantly, hasn't she? Actually, speaking of her, I've got a little message for you. Just have a little look over there will you." The broadcast then switched to a pre-recorded message from Russo, aimed at devoted fan Tess. The England striker said: "Hi, Tess, it's Alessia here. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your support this summer. ‌ "We've loved hearing you on the TV and on Twitter. So much so I'd like to give you this shirt just to say thank you. I hope you love it, and we hope to see you soon." Tess was stunned as Logan handed her a jersey featuring Russo's name and number. England icon Scott then questioned the passionate supporter about whether she'd be displaying her dance moves once more for England. ‌ "I'm a huge fan and I'm a huge fan of your dancing as well," said Scott to their in-studio guest. "Are we going to see more of that today?" Tess replied with gusto as she said: "Yes, definitely!" Her response left both Wright and Scott in fits of laughter. Before the game, Tess radiated optimism as she a: "I'ddedm feeling very positive, and I feel like we can win this match." When pressed for a forecast, she predicted Sarina Wiegman's side would triumph: "Well, I think 3-2, but at the same time I just hope we win it." ‌ The final score may not have been spot on, but Tess got her wish as England triumphed over Germany 2-1 in extra time. Chloe Kelly's decisive goal in the 110th minute clinched the first major title for England's women, and they're now setting their sights on retaining the title in Switzerland. Kelly was instrumental in keeping England's title dreams alive, netting another crucial extra-time goal to secure a 2-1 victory over Italy in the semi-finals. However, they'll be counting on the support of their fans once more if they're to overcome the current world champions, Spain, this Sunday. Hibs players worked off some rustiness in 4-0 win over Spartans

Hibernian Women's head coach Grant Scott discussed working off rustiness following Friday's 4-0 victory over Spartans at Meadowbank Stadium. Hibs led 1-0 until late in the game, due to Ciara Grant's first-half goal direct from a corner. Substitute Kathleen McGovern then grabbed two late goals before 16-year-old Isla Taylor capped off the scoring with a solo finish. 'We'd love to be hitting every game flying like we did last week,' Scott admitted. 'But I thought Spartans showed a lot of energy. 'It was a different challenge [from last week]. It's early days and we'll get rid of that rustiness in due course. 'I think we breached their backline more often in the second half with some sharper movements and passing. The players coming on introduced a bit of energy. It is good progress and we keep moving on.' Isla Taylor's late impact on the match, as well as Jess Ramsay's assured display, was a positive sign of development from the two Academy stars during their 30-minute cameos against Jack Beesley's outfit. Both youngsters made their senior debuts with the Club last season aged just 15, and Scott is thrilled with how their development is continuing to progress. 'The girls are doing really well. We're getting the balance right with them just now in terms of game time. 'The consistency of training with the First Team will improve their sharpness. You can see the quality is there, they're fitting in really well in training. We just need to manage their game time. 'I'm delighted to see the girls come on, with Isla getting her goal. It's really great to see.' Scott also touched on Hibs Women's upcoming pre-season warm-weather training camp in Florida, USA, following an invite to train and play in Jacksonville from Gainbridge Super League club Sporting JAX. Already thinking ahead to our UEFA Women's Champions League involvement and battling on three fronts domestically, Scott is keen to maximise the camp for all it's worth. 'We have massive challenges ahead. We'll get some training done in the heat and play a nice friendly match over there in front of an expected big crowd, which will be something different for the girls to be exposed to. 'It's the next stage of our prep and we will use it well.' Like this: Like Related

Glorious Goodwood odds: Latest betting odds for Glorious Goodwood 2025

Glorious Goodwood has been an integral part of the British horse racing calendar since 1802, being held in late July and/or early August since its inception. With 37 races spread across five days, it's a feast of flat racing for bettors and we've got all the best Goodwood odds from betting sites for each and every race of this unique festival. An unusual, quirky racecourse compared to many around the world, Goodwood does not have a complete circuit, with a series of loops helping to create the races longer than sprints. Races of six furlongs or less are contested on the straight course, which climbs for the first furlong or so before being mostly downhill from that point. The meeting has strong links to summer fashion and is set in the beautiful scenery of the Sussex Downs, with the south coast in view from the back of the main grandstand. There are three Group 1 races during the week, with the Sussex Stakes, contested over one mile, being the centrepiece. The Goodwood Cup and the Nassau Stakes complete the trio of top races, while there are numerous other Group races across the five days and the Stewards Cup, a prestigious six-furlong sprint handicap, contested annually on the final day. You'll find Goodwood racing odds for all those feature races and more from licensed and regulated horse racing betting sites on this page. Glorious Goodwood Odds Glorious Goodwood 2025 begins on Tuesday 29 July and runs until Saturday 2 August on the Sussex Downs. Bettors can find odds for each and every race at Glorious Goodwood using our live odds tracker, which pulls in odds from online bookmakers and displays the best prices for each runner. The Goodwood horse racing odds above are live and updated in real time, so make sure to bookmark this page to stay up to date with the latest prices. Glorious Goodwood Races Guide Glorious Goodwood Day 1 A fabulous five days of action begins on Tuesday, 29 July with the Group 2 Lennox Stakes. The feature on the opening day is the Group 1 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes. Contested over two miles, this race has seen some of the best stayers ever to have raced involved, including recent favourites such as the four-time winner, Stradivarius. Glorious Goodwood Day 2 Day two takes place on Wednesday, 30 July and places an emphasis on speed. The traditional feature is the Group 1 Sussex Stakes, contested over one mile. First run in 1841, this race features the pick of the nation's milers aged three and upwards. In recent history, the brilliant Baaed won this race in 2022, while Frankel, who many believe to have been the greatest horse of them all, lifted the prize in both 2011 and 2012. There's also a chance to see some stars of the future with the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes open to two-year-old speedsters. Glorious Goodwood Day 3 Day three is Ladies Day. There'll be some fabulous fashions to enjoy and the pick of the action on the track is the featured Visit Qatar Nassau Stakes over a mile and two furlongs. This race was first run in 1840 and has been run over its current distance since 1911, while being promoted to Group 1 status in 1999. The magnificent Midday won this race three years in succession from 2009-2011 under jockey Tom Queally. The Richmond Stakes is another classy Group 2 sprint race for two-year-olds over six furlongs. We'll have all the Goodwood odds from online bookmakers and betting apps for the Nassau Stakes, the Richmond Stakes, plus all the other races on day three. Glorious Goodwood Day 4 Day four at Goodwood puts speed front and centre again. The feature race is the Group 2 King George Qatar Stakes, worth over £170,000 to the winner. This five-furlong sprint has featured many of the fastest horses ever to have raced, including the wonderful Battaash, who won the race in four successive years from 2017 to 2020, under jockey Jim Crowley. The supporting cast on Friday isn't bad either, with bettors able to find Goodwood odds for the Coral Golden Mile and the Group 3 Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes. Glorious Goodwood Day 5 The curtain comes down on Glorious Goodwood on Saturday, when the feature race is the Stewards' Cup, a valuable big field sprint handicap over six furlongs. This cavalry charge has proved an incredibly difficult race to win but the Michael Dods-trained Commanche Falls holds the rare distinction of winning it two seasons in succession, in 2021 and 2022. Glorious Goodwood Odds Explained The odds on each horse at Glorious Goodwood, just like at any other horse race meeting, are determined based on market confidence and not on predictions. Bookies will set the initial odds on a horse based on what they think its chance is of winning the race. The better the chance, the shorter the odds. Those deemed less likely to win are priced accordingly, with bigger odds. Once the betting market has open, the odds then fluctuate according to market confidence, so if more people bet on a horse, its odds will shorten. If fewer people bet on a horse than the bookies expected, its odds can increase. Ante-post odds are odds that bookies offer in advance of the day of the race. Just like odds offered by bookmakers on the day of the race, ante-post odds can also change frequently. Responsible Gambling Sports betting can be enjoyable, but it's important to stay in control and gamble responsibly. Whether you are using the best online casino, slot sites, poker sites, or online bookmakers, responsible gambling should always be a priority. All licensed gambling sites in the UK are required to provide tools such as deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, and self-assessment questionnaires. These are designed to help you manage your activity and protect your well-being. Many operators, including online bookmakers and new casino sites, will offer free bets or a casino bonus. While these can be tempting, it is vital to read the terms and conditions of any offer before taking part. If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, support is available from:
