‘This celeb-favourite skin tint feels so lightweight and gives a gorgeous glow'
I've been sampling a variety of skin tints recently, in an attempt to discover the ideal lightweight face base for my skin this summer, and I believe I may have found it with this popular hydrating formula.
Skin tints are typically more fluid and offer slightly more coverage than tinted moisturisers, with the pigments suspended in a watery or gel-like solution rather than a creamy one. As a result, they feel incredibly lightweight on the skin – as if you're not wearing any make-up at all – and can be better suited to combination or oily skin types, who might find tinted moisturisers a bit too hydrating.
The most recent skin tint I've tested is Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 30, priced at £42, a make-up product worn and adored by celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow. With a host of skincare ingredients and a mineral SPF of 30, it promises to deliver a dewy, naturally even complexion while also hydrating and strengthening the skin. Here's why I've been wowed by it...
Like many skin tints, Ilia's Super Serum is a breeze to apply, blending well with either fingers or a make-up brush (it's fluid enough that you can even do the influencer trick of dripping it straight onto your face, if you wish). I have the shade Tulum, which is perhaps one shade too light for my slightly tanned summer skin, but will be perfect in winter, reports OK!. The coverage is so light though that the 30 shades are very flexible, so you can't really go too wrong.
I was instantly smitten with the final result: my skin appeared glowing and dewy, with blemishes subtly concealed, yet everything still looked incredibly natural. My skin felt wonderful too: plump, hydrated and smooth. This skin tint certainly felt more akin to skincare than make-up.

For me, the real test would be later in the day. The main issue I usually encounter with skin tints is that they become patchy on my face after a few hours, once the 'water' component of the product has absorbed or evaporated. However, this wasn't the case with the Ilia one. While it didn't maintain the exact fresh and dewy look as when first applied, it never once appeared patchy – a definite victory in my book.
While I'll likely still opt for my favourite foundation for a flawless finish, or this superb tinted moisturiser for very sheer coverage, Ilia's Super Serum has now become my go-to skin tint for lightweight, everyday make-up that delivers a radiant complexion and easy application.
It's worth noting that while this product does contain SPF, you're probably unlikely to apply enough of it to your face to achieve the recommended levels of sun protection. Therefore, I always suggest applying a dedicated SPF product first, before your make-up.

Goldie Hawn, 79, has a mini-me besides her daughter Kate Hudson... find out who the cute tween is
Goldie Hawn has a mini-me out there besides her movie star daughter Kate Hudson. On Monday evening the 79-year-old Hollywood icon was seen on the red carpet with a younger look-alike when at the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere in New York City. It was her 12-year-old granddaughter Rio Hudson. Rio's father is Goldie's son Oliver Hudson and her mother is Erinn Bartlett. Oliver and Erinn have been married for almost 20 years. The little girl has two siblings: her brothers Bondi, 15, and Wilder, 17. Goldie looked thrilled to be sharing the spotlight with the young girl as they put their arms around each other and beamed for photographers. Goldie had on a blue-and-white printed summer dress with her hair down while Rio modeled a yellow floral print dress adding gold necklaces and construction boots as she had an Etienne Aigner purse on her shoulder. Also at the event was Rio's mom and dad Erinn and Oliver as well as her brother Wilder. Happy Gilmore 2 star Adam Sandler was also in attendance as were John Cena, Nikki Garcia, Alix Earle and Paige Spiranac. Goldie has a large family. In addition to Kate and Oliver, the Private Benjamin actress has son Wyatt Russell with her longtime partner Kurt Russell. In May Goldie said that she is proud that her three children have followed in her acting footsteps, especially since they did it without her help. The Oscar winner opened up about her parenting style in a question and answer session after a special screening of 1974's The Sugarland Express at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The crime drama was the first feature film co-written and directed by Steven Spielberg. The child wore a yellow dress with construction boots Mom Erinn is seen left in a black dress and dad Oliver is right in a black-and-white print shirt with khaki slacks Referring to her kids, Hawn said she wanted to keep their childhoods as normal as possible and had actually blocked daughter Kate Hudson, 46, from being offered a part. 'I didn't call an agent and ask them to be represented. I never did that,' the Private Benjamin star said, per People. 'In fact, they wanted Katie for some show, and she was still in high school. And I didn't let her do it because I didn't want her at that age, I wanted her to live a normal life, finish school, at which point you figure that out, but don't start too soon.' The plan seems to have worked. Hudson, 46, was 21 when she received an Academy Award nomination for her breakout role in 2000's Almost Famous and has enjoyed a lengthy career in a variety of roles, including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Glass Onion. Hawn's sons Oliver Hudson, 48, and Wyatt Russell, 38, have also taken up acting, with Russell most recently appearing in Thunderbolts. The First Wives Club star shares Kate and Oliver with ex-husband Bill Hudson, 75, and Wyatt, 38, with her longtime partner Kurt Russell, 74. Hawn said her kids were her 'legacy,' and that she valued their characters more than their professional achievements, and shies away from giving them advice. No, they have to cut their own way,' she told the audience. 'They don't want advice from their parents. Who does?... Too much advice. And also they're doing it on their own.' 'What feels good is that they're amazing human beings,' she said. 'They happen to be talented... They're great humans, all of them. And all my grandchildren — now I have eight — and they're great humans.' Hawn, 79,revealed she once blocked daughter Kate Hudson, 46, from acting when she was a teenager. 'I wanted her to live a normal life, finish school,' she said; Pictured in Los Angeles in November 2022 Hawn hopes her kids surpass her in their careers. 'Who doesn't want to be bigger and better than their parents? That's the whole idea,' she explained. 'The fact that we supersede our parents, that's what we're supposed to do. So we wanted that. Kurt and I wanted that. And so when we look at it, we go, "Oh my God, this is just so awesome."' The proud grandma recently gave three of her grandchildren parts in her upcoming educational film Brain Buddies. 'I wrote and produced it, and three of my grandkids, Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio, did the voices,' she said of Oliver's kids. 'What I loved is how well they followed the direction that I was giving them, and they were great at intonation and how they delivered the lines and what their characters are and all of it,' she said of the experience. 'So for me, it was a memorable joy that I will have for the rest of my life, and the children will never forget it.'

Beauty Pie's LED mask that 'softens wrinkles' is finally back in stock after selling out three times
Beauty Pie's in-demand LED face mask is finally back in stock after selling out three times, and shoppers have praised it for softening wrinkles, plumping and evening out skin tone LED mask fans will be pleased to hear that Beauty Pie's professional-grade C-Wave LED Treatment Mask is finally back in stock after selling out three times. These high-tech beauty gadgets have been rising in popularity over the past few years, with major celebs like Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson using them as part of their skincare routines. And they're not just a fad; they're scientifically supported pieces of tech that can help reduce inflammation, stimulate collagen production, and combat fine lines by using light therapy to penetrate deep into your skin. So why is the Beauty Pie mask so in demand? Well, it's a clinically proven skincare device that tackles everything from fine lines to redness to dullness. Using the power of dual-wavelength tech, it boosts collagen, firms up skin, fades pigmentation, and gives you that fresh, even-toned glow. The best part? It delivers pro-level results at a fraction of the price of luxury LED masks. If you're a Beauty Pie member already, you can nab it for £120, and if you're not a member, the mask is priced at £200. Beauty Pie shoppers have been raving about this LED mask for plumping the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and balancing out skin tone. One happy reviewer wrote: "I am pleased to say I have seen results, lots of comments on how I am looking younger! Which at 61 I will take. I can see a softening of lines and wrinkles and look a little plumper. I use it every morning as soon as the first snooze button has been pressed. I recommend this LED Mask, but like anything you need to be consistent. Its a great price too." A second added: "I love this mask. I work within the Beauty industry and have seen lots of LED masks including medical grade ones. I have combination skin and want to prevent early aging. This mask is the best value for money and I really like how it fits directly to the face. It's great that you can have the eye guards off or on. The adjustable strap is really helpful too. I have been using this daily since March. The instant result I saw was my skin was smoother. After that it was more radiant." Not all were as impressed, however, with a few noting that the eye protectors sit awkwardly on the face. A shopper said: "Too early to tell tbh - I have high hopes. Negatives are that the eye protectors are very uncomfortable - I have tried wearing them back to front to give some eye protection with less discomfort. That seems to work ok." For alternative LED masks, our beauty team tested and reviewed a selection of the very best masks to shop in 2025. Among the list, the standout masks to try included the Shark CryoGlow LED Anti-Ageing and Blemish Repair Mask, priced at £299.99, and the BeautyPro Photon LED Light Therapy Facial Mask, priced at £195.

Vanessa Hudgens is seen for the first time since announcing second pregnancy as she takes her baby out
was spotted enjoying a walk with her baby on Thursday in Los Angeles. It was the first time the High School Musical alum, 36, had been seen in public since announcing she and husband Cole Tucker were expecting a second child. And it is also the first time the mother has offered a glimpse of the little one publicly since bringing the child home from the hospital in July 2024. Hudgens looked relaxed in black leggings and a matching black top with a lavender cover up. She wore white sneakers and sox as she pushed the stroller along a paved area. The Bad Boys: Ride or Die star wore little to no makeup and pulled her long, dark hair up into a top knot but. She wore dark sunglasses in the bright Southern California rays, and accessorized with two gold necklaces and dangling diamond earrings. The little one, who turned one on July 3, was dressed in a gender-neutral tan outfit, looking adorable with a binky in their mouth. Hudgens and Tucker, 29, have not revealed the name of their oldest child nor any other information about the tyke. On Saturday, the Spring Breakers actress and the MLB star gleefully announced they were expanding their small family. The loved-up couple held hands in an sweet carousel of photos captioned 'Round two!' Hudgens showed proof of her being in the family way, baring her baby bump in a chic open shirt and matching skirt. Hutchins, who previously dated Austin Butler, reportedly met Tucker via zoom in November 2020, 11 months after breaking up with the Elvis star. During her March 2024 appearance on the She Pivots podcast, Hudgens explained, 'I feel my last breakup has really catapulted me to a very, very special place, obviously.' 'You pushed me to the right person,' she said of Butler, adding that their split is something she is 'so grateful for.' In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April 2021, Hudgens said her future husband was 'just kind of perfect for me.' 'I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it's also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. 'I've been making that a priority, and I feel like it's just been making magic happen all the more.' The couple tied the knot in December 2023 during a romantic ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, and just four months later, she debuted her first baby bump at the 2024 Academy Awards. The pair put on a passionate display at their first post-baby outing together at the at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March. No evidence of her growing baby bump was visible in her sexy black dress with a hip-high slit.
