Brionna Jones makes the fourth All-Star appearance of her WNBA career, chosen as an injury replacement this year for Mercury's Satou Sabally. She's leading the Atlanta Dream in rebounding with 7.8 per game while adding 13.8 PPG as their active post player. Rocking the Nike KD 18 throughout the season, she debuts the 'All-Star' colorway for the first time.
The Nike KD 18 is the latest signature sneaker from Houston Rockets' Kevin Durant and one of the more popular Nike Basketball models out at the moment. While the KD 18 begins the roll out to the public, this colorway will remain an exclusive to the All-Star participants for the time being.

Per @SoleRetriever coverage, Brionna Jones laced up an unreleased colorway of the Nike KD 18. The shoes appear in a predominantly black look, based on the classic construction of the Nike Air Terra Humara. The shoes are black throughout the uppers with yellow-to-red gradient throughout the mesh underlayer. The back heel and the ankle collar feature a similar gradient complete with flames, the theme throughout Nike's WNBA All-Star sneakers.
As for a public release, we're not sure whether Nike will drop the collection to the public, but previous All-Star releases in the NBA have suggested their could be a roll-out for this series. The Nike KD 18 is currently available for $160 as new colorways begin to arrive, but we'll have to keep these on the back burner for now.

Knicks reserve guard could see increased role next season

New York Knicks guard Miles McBride could be the biggest beneficiary of Mike Brown being hired as the team's new head coach. Per SNY's Ian Begley, McBride could see an increased role compared to his role under Tom Thibodeau. 'We don't know how Knicks coach Mike Brown will deploy his rotation. But it's logical to think that McBride will play significant minutes with Clarkson and Yabusele,' Begley said. In the past, it would appear at times as though McBride wasn't being utilized properly in the rotation. Now with Brown, it's possible that McBride could see an increased role in the offense. McBride has the ability to play in several different types of lineups for the Knicks thanks to his ability to space the floor and defend at a high level. McBride himself spoke with Begley about sharing the second unit with new acquisitions Jordan Clarkson, and Guerschon Yabusele. 'Obviously (Clarkson's) a vet in this league. He's done great things,' McBride said, per Begley. 'Obviously, he can fill up the stat sheet and really score the ball at a high level. And obviously adding Geurschon as well. I think everybody's seen what he did in the Olympics and carrying that momentum into (last season), so we're really excited about him.' 'I feel like we're going to play fast, we're going to be using a lot of different guys,' he added. 'If you saw the Finals, they (Oklahoma City and Indiana) had a lot of depth on both teams, and I feel like we're all NBA guys. So if you're on the team, I feel like you're able to help out.' McBride averaged a career-best 9.5 points per game last season off the bench, and shot 37 percent from three-point range. Next year could be a breakout season for him should he get an increased role.

Ronny Mauricio powers Mets past Giants with first career four-hit night: ‘He made it look easy'

Ronny Mauricio is finding his groove at the big-league level. The young slugger had his hands all over the Mets' Sunday night win over the Giants. Mauricio and Francisco Alvarez started rallies that led to New York's first three runs -- lining back-to-back singles leading off the third and then a pair of doubles in the top of the fifth. After the Giants jumped in front on Matt Chapman's second homer of the night, the Mets responded right back, as Mauricio crushed a slider from All-Star righty Randy Rodriguez into McCovey Cove to even things back up. A few batters later, Juan Soto pushed the Mets in front with a solo shot of his own. 'He wanted to hit one in the water, he told me since the beginning,' Soto said postgame. 'I knew I hit it well,' Mauricio added. 'It felt really good because I saw a couple of home runs of Barry Bonds hitting them into the ocean, so for me to be able to do that too that's feeling really good.' And the 24-year-old wasn't done there, as he led off the top of the ninth ripping an opposite-field double, which eventually led to the pinch-running Luisangel Acuña scoring a big insurance run. Mauricio finished his first career four-hit showing, three of which went for extra-bases. 'He was incredible, it's nice to see it,' Carlos Mendoza said. 'He continues to get comfortable, he continues to have really good at-bats controlling the strike zone and then doing damage on pitches in the zone. 'We saw it today with the homer against Rodriguez, a pretty tough arm to the pull side and then he goes the other way in that last at-bat after getting into a hitters count, not trying to do too much, just the ability to go the other way -- he made it look easy.' Mauricio is now up to a .760 OPS on the season. Alvarez has hits in six straight, and three extra base knocks since returning. Mark Vientos delivered the go-ahead hit on Saturday to extend his hitting streak. Brett Baty looks the most comfortable he's been at the big-league level. Starling Marte has also been red hot since returning from his brief IL stint. The bottom of the order finally pitching in while the big boppers go through their little funk has shown the depth and potential this lineup can have down the stretch. 'One through nine, I feel like anybody in that lineup can take you deep,' Mendoza said. 'That's why we never feel like we're out of a game, a couple of guys get on then next thing you know you get the tying run to the plate and anybody can clip anybody. 'We've been saying it all year, when those guys are clicking we're a pretty good offense.'
