Sounder Partners Launches With Mission to Build Enduring Companies in Partnership With Founders and Entrepreneurs
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sounder Partners, a private investment firm focused on building enduring businesses in collaboration with founders and entrepreneurs, today announced its official launch. Founded by Nick Miner, former Managing Director at Trive Capital, Sounder Partners is purpose-built to serve as a trusted partner to operators navigating their next chapter.
Sounder Partners targets control investments in lower middle market businesses, with a focus on essential service and product companies. The firm targets sectors with strong tailwinds and multiple levers for value creation, including organic growth, strategic add-ons, and operational enhancement. These are often businesses delivering mission-critical solutions and positioned to grow with the right structure, discipline, and strategic support.
'We started Sounder Partners to be the kind of investor we'd want on the other side of the table,' said Nick Miner, Founder and Managing Partner. 'I grew up around a family business and saw firsthand the grit, risk, and sacrifice it takes to build something that lasts. That perspective shapes how we partner – honoring the legacy and culture that made a business great while helping it scale with intention.'
Sounder Partners was built on the belief that the best outcomes come from true alignment, mutual respect, and a deep commitment to protecting what founders have built. The firm takes a patient approach and works closely with founders who value transparency and cultural alignment. Rather than imposing a rigid playbook, Sounder seeks to amplify what's already working – bringing clarity, strategic focus, and the resources to help good businesses realize their full potential.
'Our role is to be a steady, strategic partner. That means asking the right questions, doing the hard things well, and building with intention,' Miner added. 'We look for businesses where we can be a trusted partner through the next chapter of growth – helping them scale without compromising what makes them special.'

Court Reserves Judgement on both Judicial Review Petition and Injunction Application Relating to Mount Polley Tailings Storage Facility
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 30, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Imperial Metals Corporation (TSX:III) (the 'Company' or 'Imperial') announces that, further to the Company's news release dated May 9, 2025, following a four-day hearing, the Supreme Court of British Columbia has reserved judgment on the judicial review petition and injunction application filed by the Xatśūll First Nation ('Xatśūll') that challenged two provincial decisions authorizing a four-metre raise of the tailings storage facility embankment at the Mount Polley mine (the 'TSF Raise') until the Court issues its reasons for decision, expected on August 6, 2025. MPMC is permitted to continue construction of the four-metre raise as planned and operations at the mine continue in accordance with the permits granted by the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals and the Environmental Assessment Office. In the interim, MPMC has provided a voluntary undertaking to refrain from depositing tailings that rely on the TSF Raise until August 7, 2025 to allow the Court time to consider the matter. The petition and injunction were heard together on June 24-27, 2025. At the hearing, counsel for Mount Polley Mining Corporation ('MPMC'), Imperial's wholly owned subsidiary, and counsel for the Province of British Columbia argued the decisions are valid and were issued through the proper process with adequate consultation. Imperial and MPMC are committed to transparent engagement with Indigenous communities and environmental responsibility. Maintaining a meaningful relationship with Xatśūll and Williams Lake First Nation is important to the Company, including supporting sustainable development through meaningful dialogue. 'We appreciate the Court taking its time to carefully consider this matter and await its decision on the interlocutory injunction application and petition. We are committed to working collaboratively with Xatśūll and other Indigenous communities to address their concerns,' stated Brian Kynoch, President of Imperial. 'Our goal is to ensure that all operations at Mount Polley mine are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner that respects the rights of Indigenous peoples.' Imperial and MPMC will continue to work with provincial regulators and Indigenous communities to ensure future actions align with regulatory requirements and community expectations. About Imperial Imperial is a Vancouver-based exploration, mine development and operating company with holdings that include the Mount Polley mine (100%), the Huckleberry mine (100%), and the Red Chris mine (30%). BitMine Immersion Stock Triples as It Raises $250M for Ether Treasury, Adds Thomas Lee to Board
BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has secured $250 million via a private placement of common stock and will use the funds to launch an ether (ETH) treasury. When the deal closes, expected July 3, the Las Vegas-based miner said it will rank among the largest publicly traded holders of ETH. The financing, priced at $4.50 a share, brought together investors including Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, Kraken, Galaxy Digital and Republic. Cantor Fitzgerald advised lead investor MOZAYYX, while ThinkEquity placed the deal. BitMine justified its choice of ether as a primary reserve asset saying Ethereum currently leads in stablecoin payments, tokenized assets, and decentralized financial applications. 'By having a direcT ETH treasury position, the company has access to native protocol-level activities, such as staking and decentralized finance mechanisms, on the Ethereum network,' the company wrote. The move also reshapes BitMine's leadership. Fundstrat founder Thomas Lee, long known on Wall Street for his crypto research and bullishness, was newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. Lee said the round reflects 'the rapid and continued convergence of traditional financial services and crypto' and set a new key performance metric for the company: ether per share. SharpLink Gaming (SBET) is one of the few other publicly traded companies creating and ether treasury, having recently boosted it to 188,478 ETH. Most other companies creating crypto treasuries focus on bitcoin (BTC). BitMine's shares have more than tripled in premarket action to nearly $14. How Blu Scarpa Plans to Scale With The Help of Fiat Heir Lapo Elkann
Fiat heir Lapo Elkann is stepping into the footwear world with a new investment. This month, the great-grandson of Fiat founder Giovanni Agnelli became a minority investor in Miami-based luxury footwear brand Blu Scarpa. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the new partnership was unveiled at Milan Men's Fashion Week this month at the shoe brand's spring/summer 2026 collection presentation. More from WWD Global Beauty Giants' Early Bets on the Eastern Fragrance Wave Tom Brady Laces Up Travis Scott Jordans in Venice Ahead of Jeff Bezos' and Lauren Sánchez's Wedding Ace Bailey Coordinates Christian Louboutin Shoes With His Family at NBA Draft Day One Matthew Chevallard, founder and creative director of Blu Scarpa, said that Elkann's new partnership will allow the company to scale outside of its Miami home. 'Lapo has believed in me and supported me throughout my footwear journey, and now with this investment, it will allow me to embark on a new chapter,' Chevallard told FN in an interview. 'Bringing Lapo on as a partner will allow us a little more wind in our sails to still be very independent, but obviously, have a slightly more resources to compete.' The executive noted that since the company launched in 2019, he has built a solid foundation in Miami through the company's own store in the Design District. 'Now we're moving outside of that micro mentality,' Chevallard noted. 'We now want to move into more conventional practices like expanding wholesale and amplifying our messaging to a wider audience.' Blu Scarpa sells to The Webster as well as Level Shoes in Dubai. 'We are working on expanding out relationship with Level, especially since they are slated to open their first U.S. store here in Miami in a few years.' (Level has not confirmed the opening.) Chevallard is no stranger to the footwear industry. Much of his entrepreneurial spirit is expressed through footwear, starting with the luxury men's slipper brand Del Toro that he co-founded in 2005. Now, with Blu Scarpa, Chevallard is focusing in on Italian craftsmanship that takes inspiration from the golden age of 1980s and '90s Italian lifestyle and artistic icons such as Lucio Fontana, Georgia O'Keeffe, Donald Judd, and Yves Klein. For spring/summer 2026, the collection has expanding into the realm of soccer, showcasing a new silhouette alongside new iterations of the brands core models. The offering is made up of five distinct capsules, with prices ranging $475 to $535. A highlight of the new offering includes the 2.0 Blu Palm shoe, which is described as a continuation of the Blu Palm concept in suede and nylon, originally launched in collaboration with Elkann and Chevallard. Another highlight is the aforementioned Soccer Collezione, which is inspired by 1980s–1990s soccer sportswear. The line introduces a brand-new suede and leather silhouette that brings soccer into Blu Scarpa's running and tennis-focused sportswear realm.
