Springfield's first Friday art walk kicks off Artsfest
May's Art Walk will feature gallery openings and special performances across more than a dozen venues. Event goers can expect a fashion collection made from reclaimed neckties, a veteran art exhibit at the Gillioz Theatre, local student exhibits and live music.
Artsfest begins on Walnut Street on May 3 and May 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Evangeline's Costume Mansion closed the rest of 2025
( — Evangeline's Costume Mansion in Old Sacramento announced it will not be open in time for Halloween after it was damaged in a fire back on June 17. The post said that as restoration and repairs are underway, the business is expected to be closed for the rest of the year. They add that they will also not be able to accept online orders till they reopen. 'When we are ready, you can look forward to a bright and shiny novelty and gift shop— and an even more magical Costume Mansion,' the post said.
