after a nine month stint. He says, 'I enjoyed playing Rohit, but my track came to an end. Now I am looking forward to my next.'
(Romiit with Garvita Sadhwani and Rohit Purohit in Yeh Rishta)
Romiit is eager to return to lead roles, like he did at the beginning of his career with popular shows Maykaa and Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan around 2006-07.
He shares, 'I'm hoping to land a lead in a romantic drama, thriller or murder mystery.
Lead roles offer greater scope for performance and every actor is hungry for good opportunities. While I'm open to strong parallel roles, my focus is on working with good production houses and getting back to leads.'
In his two decade-long career, Romiit has seen it all, but the difficult patches never got him down. 'It's a part and parcel of an actor's life and I always believe in looking ahead. With different mediums opening up, I want to do TV as well as web shows,' says the actor who was seen in the web series

'I respect Shilpa for being an independent, successful woman'
(Shilpa Shinde)
Romiit was briefly engaged to actress Shilpa Shinde in 2009, but even today, he is asked about their association. He says, 'I'm surprised that even after 16 years, something that lasted for less than six months still comes up. There was never any negativity, it just wasn't meant to be. Shilpa has done well for herself. Though we haven't crossed paths over the years, we've always wished each other well. I have a lot of respect for her as an independent woman who is successful in her career.

Yeh Rishta's Rahul Sharma on the power of long-running TV dramas; says ‘Infinite shows let you prove your worth'

Rahul Sharma , currently seen as Anshuman in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, opens up about the changing landscape of Indian television and how the format of a show shapes an actor's journey. 'Limited series may be the future, but infinite shows give you space to prove your talent,' Rahul shares. While acknowledging the growing popularity of short-format content, he feels these shows often don't allow actors the time to shine. 'Limited series are not always given the recognition they deserve. People don't easily notice your talent in short formats because they're not seen as hits unless they run for years.' Rahul believes that infinite shows, despite their challenges, offer greater scope for character development and audience connection. 'With longer-running shows, you have time to explore different shades, build audience attachment, and prove your place in the industry,' he explains. However, he's not dismissive of short-form storytelling. Reflecting on his own experience, Rahul adds, 'I've worked in both, like in Kaal Bhairav. Limited series can be impactful too, especially for thrillers or romance when done in seasons. They're tighter and more focused.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why So Many Texas Drivers Are Switching Insurance After Seeing This Policy Auto Pro Get Quote Undo He also points out the unpredictability of TV today. 'You just can't predict how long a show will run anymore. What starts off as an infinite show might wrap up in a few months,' he says, emphasizing the need for flexibility and strong writing. Despite the rise of OTT, Rahul is confident about television's staying power. 'TV dramas still connect with families. If the story is engaging and relatable, people will watch,' he concludes. His perspective offers a grounded look at the evolving formats while reaffirming faith in the enduring power of television.

Kumkum Bhagya: Mumbai's surprise pour enhances Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul's romantic sequence

Sometimes, the most memorable moments on screen are the ones that aren't fully planned, and Kumkum Bhagya 's upcoming rain dance sequence is a perfect example. While the rain dance was already part of the storyline, what made it extra special was the unexpected downpour of real Mumbai rain during the shoot. The team embraced the rains, and it added a magical, unscripted layer to the moment. The natural rain blended beautifully with the mood of the scene, making it feel more authentic, romantic, and cinematic, something that no special effect could have achieved. Shooting the sequence wasn't easy, though. Pranali and Namik had to give multiple takes in the cold rain, and since it was their first romantic scene together, the pressure was on! The sequence took nearly 3 to 4 hours to shoot, pushing both actors to their physical limits. But their chemistry shone through, and the entire team, including the crew behind the scenes, worked in sync to pull off the challenging shoot smoothly. With safety measures in place and a shared passion to make the moment shine, what could've been a hurdle turned into a highlight of the show. Handsome Namik Paul said, 'The rain dance was always part of the plan, but what made it truly special was that the real Mumbai rain decided to join in! It wasn't timed or expected, but it just added to the mood and made the whole scene feel more alive. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 30 Beautiful women who lived 80-100 years ago Undo I genuinely enjoyed shooting it, even though we were drenched for 3–4 hours; it was quite fun. I've always loved dancing, and getting to do it in such a dramatic, rain-soaked setup was a total treat. Big shoutout to the crew, especially the camera team, for making every frame look stunning. Personally, I enjoy shooting in unpredictable conditions; it keeps things exciting and helps me grow as an actor.' Gorgeous Pranali Rathod said, 'This rain sequence was meticulously planned by the production team, direction team, and the creative team. They ensured everything was executed seamlessly. It was a demanding shoot, standing in the rain for a few hours tested our stamina, but it was entirely worth it. The sequence blends beautifully with the current show narrative, and since I have a soft spot for the monsoon season , I genuinely enjoyed bringing this moment and scenes to life on screen.' While Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul delivered their best performances during the rain sequence, the anticipation among fans is now at an all-time high as they eagerly await how this pivotal moment will shape the story ahead. With the talented cast and crew delivering such compelling performances and visuals, the upcoming episodes promise to be both visually stunning and emotionally gripping.
