Stephanie White Reveals Good News for Caitlin Clark After Roster Decision
Stephanie White Reveals Good News for Caitlin Clark After Roster Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever are heading in the right direction, building one of the best rosters in the WNBA under head coach Stephanie White. Advertisement In White's first year back with the organization, she's joined by Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham. The Fever also had future Hall of Fame forward DeWanna Bonner rostered, but they recently released the first-year Indiana player. Bonner requested a trade and wound up being waived, leading Indiana to sign Aari McDonald, who played with Fever earlier this month on a hardship contract. After signing McDonald, White spoke with the media, sharing her thoughts on the addition of the talented guard. When explaining that she's excited to have McDonald back in the lineup, White mentioned that the move gives Indiana a chance to take some pressure off Caitlin Clark and lets the Fever star play off the ball, giving her more scoring opportunities. Advertisement "Really excited about having Aari back," White said. "Her pedigree, her ability to have the ball in her hands and make plays, not just for herself but for her teammates and the tone that she sets on the defensive end of the floor. When we get C back it gives us the ability to play C off the ball a little bit, take some pressure off of her."
