Thousands raised for boy, 7, with bone cancer
Jack, who turned seven in hospital on New Year's Day, was diagnosed with the disease in January after he started suffering from leg pain last autumn.
His family, who live in Ross-on-Wye, said they had been overwhelmed by the level of support after a friend started a GoFundMe page for them.
"[It shows] how a small town like Ross can come together," Jack's father Shaun told BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester.
He added that he wanted to say "a very, very big thank you...for the love and support that we've had."
Jack's doctors initially thought his leg pain was caused solely by a bone infection.
"I can't even tell you how awful it was to get that news, that it was a tumour," his mother Laura said.
She added that Jack was "a lively, happy little lad" who loved playing football, riding his bike and going for family walks with their pet dog.
Hari Fell, who works with Jack's grandmother at a hotel in Gloucestershire, said she started the GoFundMe page to help the family cover the costs of looking after him.
Ms Fell said Jack's parents had to stay in hotels during their son's stint in Birmingham Children's Hospital, and they may not be able to work as much as usual in the coming months as they support him with his cancer treatment.
"Every single pound counts," she said of the fundraiser, which more than 470 people have donated to so far.
Jack has now started chemotherapy and his father said he had had two days of treatment so far.
"He's done really well, for a seven-year-old. He's always got a smile on his [face]," Shaun said.

Patients to book own hospital appointments online
A service has been launched to allow people to book and manage their hospital appointments and tests online. The Patient Portal run by NHS Humber Health Partnership will give patients the power to log in and select appointment dates and times, without needing to wait on the telephone. A partnership spokesperson said people will still be able to manage their appointments via phone if they prefer. The service will be piloted in Hull before being expanded into Goole and northern Lincolnshire. Chief digital officer at the partnership Andy Haywood said it would bring hospital services "in line with what we expect in every other aspect of our daily lives". "Our new patient-led booking service will transform the way in which our patients interact with their care," he said. "This new service will see an end to patients receiving a letter with an appointment they can't make and then having to wait long periods on the phone to try and rebook." The system will also send messages if needed, such as informing patients of a change in location of an appointment, or if an earlier slot becomes available. It can also check whether a patient is able to attend, allowing appointments to be given to somebody else if not needed. New RxAir400 Pro UV-C bulb replacement cartridge provides 18,000 vs 9,000 hr. use.
