Tinder's 'most swiped right man' finds love after nine years on app

Daily Record05-07-2025
Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, 34, first downloaded the dating app in June 2015 after "struggling to find love".
Meet Tinder's 'most swiped right man' who has finally "found love" after NINE YEARS on the app and 48,000 likes - but says his"dream woman was offline the entire time".
Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, 34, first downloaded the dating app in June 2015 after "struggling to find love".

But two years later, he "became an addict" - averaging over three hours a day swiping through potential matches.

He eventually earned the title 'Mr Tinder' in 2017, when it was revealed that more users - 14,600 to be exact - had swiped right on him than anyone else.
Despite hordes of potential suitors, the male model "never found love" on any subsequent dates - and said he much prefers to find the one the old-fashioned way, in person.
Stefan, who is also a trained pilot, has been open about his previous relationships, which "have never worked out".
But now admits he's been "left love-struck" after a 'mates' night-out to a bar in Soho, London, in October 2024, led him to have "found Ms Right" in finance manager, Vicky Batsford, 43, who took his"breath away".
The meet-cue was"unexpected", but nine months on, the pair have become official and are "smitten with each other".

Stefan, who owns a match-making company, Celebrity Love Coach, from Greenwich, London, said: "I swiped right on her in real life.
"She stole my attention straight away and everything was easy and natural with her.
"At one point, I was getting 40 matches a day on Tinder and had to mute the app.

"Since then, online dating has never really worked for me.
"Meeting Vicky, I knew things would be different.
"She's organised, humble, and saw me beyond the Mr Tinder facade.

"She's the perfect woman for me and I'm completely off-limits now."
Stefan was on a "spontaneous night out" with friends when he first bumped into Vicky in October 2024.
It came following a nine-year stint on Tinder that saw him have over 48,000 potential"suitors to choose from", he claims.

"She was wearing a fitted black dress and looked super fun," he said.
"We made eye contact and both smiled while crossing paths.

"I knew I had to talk to her and we exchanged numbers that night.
"We quickly became friends and things lifted off from there."
Stefan said Vicky had "no idea" he was 'Mr Tinder' when they first met. It was only later that week, after googling his name, she became aware and was quite "intimidated".

"At first, it was a massive eye roll," Vicky, from Essex, said.
"But I didn't think anything of it at first, as we were just friends.
"I did ask if he was a s**g, which we laughed about.

"But after a few more drinks over the following weeks, we chatted more and I found him incredibly interesting.
"He soon swooned me over."
Stefan had used Tinder to go on over 15 dates - four of which resulted in relationships during his nine-year spell.

But he "struggled" to meet 'the one', admitting that amongst his 40 matches per day, less than five per cent would lead to a conversation - which only worsened once he "shot to fame" in 2017, saying that it led to "inauthentic interactions".
"My success with dating apps plummeted after I became Mr Tinder," he said.

"It's just become a game where people 'swipe on me' just because of who I am.
"So finding love the old-fashioned way was what I heavily relied on and I'm chuffed to say it has worked.
"It was probably in my favour that Vicky perhaps didn't know who I was off the bat."

Although Vicky admitted there were "clear differences" in who they are, she "couldn't be happier" to call him her boyfriend.
"We come from very different worlds," she said.
"I'm way more structured and disciplined - and he's a lot more spontaneous.

"But I think that creates a good balance and a reason why we work so well together.
"We're super happy."

Earlier this month, Stefan and Vicky became official and they are planning to move in with each other soon.
Stefan says "marriage is definitely in the future" with Vicky - whom he says "truly feels like the real deal".

Drawing on his experience of the dating world, Stefan also established an online match-making site, Celebrity Love Coach, in 2021 - to help others find their other half - and has since set up 52 couples.
"I found my love and I've always wanted to help others find theirs," he said.
"The dating world is always changing and it's easy to lose hope.

"But there is love for anyone who is willing to put themselves outside their comfort zone.
"In the past, I've dated models, nurses - and idiots.
"However, things are different now with my new partner and we live a stable life.
"It's something I've never had before.
"But I'm willing to keep it for as long as I can."

The large family all live together, including their 11 children, who all of the wives raise together. Despite having to share a husband, the Barrett wives do not seem jealous of each other, and often make videos on social media bragging about their unconventional relationship. However, while they not may appear insecure about themselves, the wives allegedly compete for the hubby's attention, a recent clip on their Instagram page showed. read more on relationships MR TINDER MEETS 'THE ONE' Tinder's most right swiped man FINALLY finds love after 9 years The video, which has been viewed more than a whopping 27million times, sees the wives - Jess, Gabby, Diana, Cam and Starr - doing their own thing, as the hubby arrives home. Hearing the door open, the ''sister wives'' get excited - and rush to be the first one to give him a kiss. One of them, for instance, quits cleaning the floor - whilst another immediately stops doing the dishes. The third wife proceeds to stop sprucing up the couch, as the fourth ditches cleaning up the mess after a baby and another immediately looks in the direction of the hubby. One by one, they all start getting ready for the race - whether that means getting their trainers in sports mode or fixing their hair. ''When hubby gets home and we all are trying to be the first to kiss him,'' read the text on the footage. I'm raising my child with 5 parents & none are the biological father - yes it's unconventional but full of love ''Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition,'' the husband chuckled in the caption. But while this arrangement might work for the mega family, social media users were not so sure, as thousands flooded to comments to share their thoughts. One person prayed: ''May this type of relationship never find me.'' What is polyamory? Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties. It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple. According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship. ''I'd rather scoop my eyes out with a hot spoon,'' another declared. ''This is actually really depressing,'' is how someone else felt about the relationship. ''Being poly is one thing, but being the only man in a 5 woman relationship is definitely fishy,'' a fourth thought. The wives previously said that polyamory is a great choice for men who are always cheating, or who jump from relationship to relationship. They added that they don't want another man in their lives, and are happy sharing just one.

'My ex-wife is dating my new girlfriend and I couldn't be happier'

This couple decided after their divorce they would stay together for their four children. Then they met a third partner who has become a part of their relationship and they say they couldn't be happier A man has claimed he couldn't be more thrilled that his ex-wife is dating his current girlfriend. Joshua Alcon and his childhood sweetheart Jessica have been together for 20 years and share four children together. ‌ However, despite the couple getting divorced, they continued to be in a relationship together - which led to them meeting Abby on a dating website and opening up their relationship. ‌ Joshua, Jessica and Abby now live as a throuple, and raise the four children altogether. Jessica is currently pregnant with their fifth child, and is planning on giving their unborn child Abby's middle name as a tribute to her lover she shares with her ex-boyfriend. ‌ "Mommy and Daddy have a girlfriend," Jessica said in a clip from YouTube's My Extraordinary Life Truly channel. The throuple are very open about their relationship, but they claim it's led to a life of judgement from others - who they call "small minded". Katherine said that despite her and Josh getting a divorce, 'the love has not been lost and there's no adjustments there". She added it was her idea to open up the relationship - calling herself the "ring leader" of it all. ‌ Joshua said Jessica's request was "every guys dream", before he then discovered Abby on Tinder. He said: "I saw Abby's photo and I was like, I want her, help me please". For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. ‌ Jessica further detailed the logistics of the relationship and said: "We are a closed triad, which means we are polyamorous but we are closed. Decisions are made together and intimacy and romantically and all that is together." She gushed over how her bond with Abby is "like no other". She added "to have two people love you so much is overwhelming sometimes". But while the trio love their set up, they have been subject to abuse online from others, with some calling it " weird" and others slamming them for being "immoral adults". Joshua worries it may affect his children as the dad confessed: "I do feel it will affect the children somehow, but I do not feel it has affected them negatively." However the couples children have adapted to having Abby around, calling her a "best friend rather than a step mum". ‌ Despite them thinking it's "cool" to have a second mum, haters have accused the parents of giving their kids a 'running head start for confusion and relationship problems" but the hate is not something they take note of. "Being in a throuple, we get judged, we just do," Joshua pointed out. He stated: "I love it, I love the hate. You hate us because you ain't us.' To which Abby said: 'These people are so small-minded I feel sorry for them, maybe that's what their parents taught them but that's not what we're teaching our kids.' As for the future, Joshua's wish is that he hopes it "holds marriage" and said he wants them to be "married to each other as well as to me at the same time."
