Zach Daudet's 11th-inning walk-off home run sends Cal Poly to regional championship round
The Mustangs (43-19) advanced to play Arizona later Sunday night. A win by Cal Poly would force a deciding game on Monday. A win by Arizona would wrap up the regional championship and send the Wildcats to the super regionals.

Landon Frei's third-inning grand slam gave Utah Valley a 4-1 lead.
Cal Poly responded with five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Cam Hoiland hit a leadoff home run for the Mustangs and Ryan Fenn came through with a two-out RBI single. Daudet scored on a balk and Nate Castellon doubled in two more runs for a 6-4 lead.
Utah Valley (33-29) caught up with a leadoff home run by Dominic Longo II in the sixth and an RBI double by Jayden Smith in the seventh.
Jaccob Torres (6-4), who came in and got the third out in the ninth inning to leave the bases loaded, got the win for Cal Poly. He did not allow a hit in 2 1/3 innings pitched.
Carston Herman (5-4) took the loss after giving up Daudet's home run.

Thompson was asked which of the three movies in the franchise was her favorite. 'For me, it's 'Back to the Future: 1' because it's just a perfect screenplay. And as a director, I can appreciate the conciseness of it.' 'And the truth is that 'Back to the Future: 2' and 3 were supposed to be kind of like one movie, and then they spread it out into two,' she said. 'So, it wasn't constructed in the same way as 'Back to the Future' was. So I just think it's a perfect screenplay.' According to Thompson, now 64, 'when we made 'Back to the Future,' we didn't even think we were going to make a sequel.' 'There was no sequel deal. There was no concept of that,' Thompson said. 'I mean, that's how long ago it was.' The science fiction film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Steven Spielberg served as Executive Producer. Thompson said she also enjoys how love for the film, which first debuted in movie theaters July 3, 1985, has spanned different generations. 'It's really a joy when we look out in the audience when we're doing one of those talkbacks and half the people weren't even born when the movie came out,' she said. 'I mean, that's exceptionally cool.'

That's about all we know so far, apart from this teaser image that reveals it'll be set in the timeline's early days while the Umbrella Corporation is still around. Marvel Studios just dropped a quick new promo for The Fantastic Four: First Steps on their official TikTok, and while it clocks in at a brisk 15 seconds, there's a decent amount of new footage. Right off the bat, Johnny Storm throws down a line, 'Time to save the planet.' But what's more interesting is what comes after. Reed Richards is shown telling the team to trust him, while the editing cuts to both Johnny and Ben Grimm reacting with serious hesitation. The promo also offers another brief look at The Thing… with a beard. It's so funny seeing Ben Grimm's The Thing rocking the rock facial fuzz. It's a look pulled from more recent comic runs, but seeing it in live-action is catching a lot of people off guard. As for the rating, no shocker here: the film has officially been rated PG-13 for 'action/violence and some language.' Standard fare for a Marvel outing. Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing—as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal. The movie is rooted in the old-fashioned optimism that inspired the comic that birthed the modern Marvel Universe in 1961. The director previously said: 'More than just the visual aesthetics, the '60s to me are all about optimism. It's about looking to the stars and dreaming about traveling into space. It's about how with the right heart and the right mind, you can do anything — which is what the Fantastic Four is all about.' Directed by WandaVision 's Matt Shakman, the film boasts a high-profile cast led by Pedro Pascal (Reed), Vanessa Kirby (Sue), Joseph Quinn (Johnny), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben), with a supporting lineup that includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Sarah Niles in yet-to-be-revealed roles. The script was originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, it was revised by Cameron Squires and Avatar: The Way of Water co-writer Josh Friedman, with Eric Pearson ( Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow ) giving it the final pass.
