Successful Powys farmers scoop rosettes at Royal Welsh Show
Wynne and Linda Morgan who run the Ty Isaf farm near Newtown, took four more titles adding to a long history of success at the show for their British Blue cattle.
'We have done really well,' said Linda. 'Our bull was the male champion, the cow was first in her class, and our young heifer, who is just over 12 months old, she was reserve female and reserve overall champion.
'We are very pleased it's been very, very good. '
This adds to the couple's history of success after they won overall champion in British blue in 2014 for Ty Isaf Iesha Et who is related to their currently very successful herd.
Unfortunately, this year the effect of the bluetongue restrictions across the Welsh border has limited their usual show schedule.
'We have been exhibiting at the Royal Welsh since 1989,' said Linda. 'To us it is quite local so we like to support it.
'This year because of the bluetongue restrictions it has been all Welsh exhibitors here. There are a few exceptions but there are a lot less competitors this year.
'It's going to impact us because we can't go over the border now into Shropshire, we usually do the Minsterley show but we can't go now. This will be out only one this year which is a shame.'

However, despite this, Linda was full of praise for the show which is a tradition for all of the generations of her family.
'We always love the show it is so friendly,' said Linda. 'To us it is a family show.
"We have been coming here since our girls were in pushchairs – now we have our grandchildren in their pushchairs.
'It is amazing.'

Noughties music star Noel Sullivan has revealed the struggles he was secretly facing behind the scenes at the height of his fame in one of the country's favourite pop bands. It wasn't until 2017 that he publicly came out as gay when he announced he had married his partner. Speaking to Heat magazine, he shared: 'It was really mad. It was a lifetime ago. I can look back at it with fond memories now, but it took a while to sort through the damage.' 'After years of self doubt I finally feel free to say what I need to,' Noel concluded. 'Free to let go of the past, free to love myself. But most importantly, free to love. Thank you [sic]'. While Noel now enjoys a much quieter, slower-paced life, he hasn't turned his back on entertainment completely. A lover of theatre, he previously appeared in productions of Fame, Love Shack, and What a Feeling, as well as playing male lead Danny Zuko in Grease on the West End in the late 2000s. Noel also had a cameo in Gavin and Stacey, starred as Galileo Figaro in the UK tour of We Will Rock You, and shared the role of Tick/Mitzi with Jason Donovan in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. In more recent years, he's popped up in BBC's Call the Midwife Christmas special and played Oscar Baxter in Doctors. As for Hear'Say, their glittering success was short-lived. Things started going downhill in January 2002, when Kym left due to conflicts with Noel and Myleene. She was replaced by former Boom! member Johnny Shentall, and they released just one single, Lovin' is Easy, as part of this lineup. In October 2002, Hear'Say announced they would be breaking up, having failed to make a commercial splash with their latest music. At the time, they cited 'abuse from the public' as the main reason for the split, while its members went on to achieve success individually. Kym, 49, enjoyed a solo career and famously starred as Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, has hosted Morning Live, and also starred in Waterloo Road. More Trending Danny, 46, has had a quieter career, but performs as part of his own soul and Motown group, Danny Foster & The Big Soul Corporation, and also auditioned for The Voice. It is reported that Logan, Chapman and Cates will split presenting duties on Match of the Day, MOTD 2 and MOTD: Champions League. It is the first time in history that three presenters will share the role. A sporting husband and a rugby star son Away from the screens, Logan has been married to rugby union star Kenny Logan since 2001, with the two striking up a romance after meeting in a bar in Chelsea. During his career as a winger, Kenny won three English Premierships with Wasps RFC and a Scottish Premiership title with Stirling County. He also represented his nation of Scotland on 70 occasions, racking up 220 points before retiring in 2004. The two welcomed twins with one another in 2005 in the form of Reuben and Lois. And Reuben has ultimately gone on to follow in his father's footsteps in rugby union as a career choice, with the 19-year-old kicking off his career as a flanker with Wasps at academy level in 2023. TELLY fans can instantly upgrade their Sky-watching experience just by learning a few handy remote tricks. You can easily skip past ads, track down endless entertainment for your kids, and unlock the very best movies in a matter of seconds. It all works using the voice controls on Sky TV remotes. Most modern Sky telly remote controls feature a microphone button. You might have stared at it hundreds of times and never pressed it. But it can grant you dozens of different shortcuts – and I've picked out six of the best. If you get into the habit of using these special codewords and phrases, you'll save loads of time. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #1 – SKIP ADS First up is the ability to skip ads quickly. Now this won't work if you're watching live telly – but it's genius if you're viewing pre-recorded content. If you manually fast-forward through an ad break, it's pretty slow. But with the voice remote, you can just say: "Fast-forward three minutes." It'll whisk you right past the ads and back to your beloved telly. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #2 – TOP FLICKS You may have already known that you can search for movies with your voice by saying its name or asking for a genre. Sky customers can claim delicious freebies in new giveaway scheme But that might serve up some rubbish flicks that aren't worth your time. So instead, try asking for "movies rated five stars". That'll pull up a list of top-rated movies for your perusal, and hopefully ensure that you have a solid movie night. An alternative is to ask for "movies rated one star" if you want a bit of a laugh. 4 SKY TV VOICE TRICK #3 – FAST APPS Sometimes you're watching telly on a live channel or app and then want to view something else. Scrolling through menus and between apps can be a real faff. It's actually much quicker to just voice-request the name of the app. All you need to do is say "open Netflix" and it'll pop right up. You'll be shocked at how much time this can save you – but it's one of those tricks that you need to get into the habit of using, so you can really reap the rewards. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #4 – QUICK TELLY One of the biggest problems with watching TV in the modern age is the amount of choice you have. It can feel impossible to actually pick something because there's just endless telly out there. One solution to this is Sky's recommendation feature. 4 Just hit the microphone button and ask: "What should I watch?" This will feed you telly that you actually want to see based on your viewing habits. And it even works across Sky as well as third-party apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #5 – WORDS OFF Sometimes subtitles find themselves mysteriously activated and you can't work out why – or how to switch them off quickly. ANOTHER SKY TRICK TO TRY Earlier this week, we revealed a clever Sky trick... You can unlock loads of classic games on Sky for free. Just load up your Sky TV, go to the apps menu, and look for Games by It's packed with top games including retro titles like Pac-Man, Breakout, and Tetris. There are kids games too, and quizzes that you can play together as a family. You don't need a special controller. Instead you simply play using your Sky TV remote. The only catch?
