Ohio State Predicted to Lose Nation's No. 6 Recruit to SEC Powerhouse
Throughout the offseason, the Ohio State Buckeyes and head coach Ryan Day have built on their national championship win, which is evident from their impressive 2026 recruiting class.

They've already received a total of 19 commits for a group that ranks No. 5 in the nation. On Monday, it was revealed that they, along with Texas, Michigan and Florida, were the four finalists for offensive tackle Felix Ojo.
Ohio State has shown interest through the recruiting process, bringing him in for a total of three visits, including an official visit on May 30.
However, on Wednesday, On3's Sam Spiegelman predicted Ojo will pass on the Buckeyes and instead commit to the Longhorns.
Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian is predicted to land offensive tackle Felix Ojo.This would be an exciting addition for the SEC squad, as On3 Industry Rankings place Ojo as a five-star recruit, the No. 3 offensive tackle, the No. 1 player in Texas and the No. 6 player in the nation.

Considering where he sits as a prospect and the fact that he stands at 6-foot-6.5 and weighs 275 pounds, with one more year of high school left, he is the kind of player who could come in as a true freshman and compete for playing time.
If the prediction does become a reality, Ojo would be Texas' third five-star recruit and fill in nicely to a class that already has 15 commitments, ranking No. 7 in the SEC and No. 16 in the nation.
This outcome would sting for Ohio State and Day, but it wouldn't sting them much as they have already landed several offensive tackle recruits, including four-star Sam Greer and three-star Aaron Thomas.
