Ohio State Lands 'Huge Visit' With Coveted Star
Most weekends in June are big recruiting times for the top college football programs. This weekend is no different for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

On3's Steve Wiltfong reported Friday the Buckeyes have a "huge visit" with four-star offensive lineman Drew Evers.
"On300 offensive lineman Drew Evers is a huge visit for the Buckeyes as the defending National Champs have had momentum. The Buckeyes sit at No. 3 in the On3 Industry Standings," wrote Wiltfong.
Evers has received dozens of offers according to 247 Sports. In addition to the Buckeyes, the Texas A&M Aggies, Penn State Nittany Lions, Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs, among many others, are pursuing the four-star offensive lineman.

Based on the 247 Sports composite rankings, Evers is the No. 13 offensive tackle and 27th-ranked Texas prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

A Flower Mound, Texas native, Evers is also the No. 209 overall recruit in the class according to the 247 Sports rankings.
Evers posted a picture Thursday on his X account about his official visit to the Buckeyes.
Evers visited the SMU Mustangs and LSU in May. Next weekend, he is scheduled to see Penn State.
Then to end June, Evers will be in College Station, Texas, to visit the Aggies.
The Buckeyes would like to continue the recruiting momentum they have with a strong visit with Evers this weekend.
While Ohio State sits at No. 3 on the On3 recruiting rankings for 2026, the Buckeyes recently dropped to No. 4 on the 247 Sports ratings. The Clemson Tigers moved up to No. 3.

Ohio State, though, has a higher quality class than most programs. The Buckeyes are ranked fourth on the 247 Sports rankings despite having just 13 commits.
Clemson has 18, and the No. 1-ranked USC Trojans have 27 commitments.

Dan Hooker targets Arman Tsarukyan for UFC return: 'I'd just like to kick his teeth in'
LAS VEGAS – Good news for MMA fans: Dan Hooker has a timeline for his octagon return. The fan-favorite UFC lightweight is recovering well from his hand injury and expects to be fighting again sometime in October or November, Hooker told MMA Junkie Radio at UFC X. Hooker was scheduled to fight Justin Gaethje earlier this year at UFC 313 in March, but he fractured his hand in training and was forced to withdraw from the bout. Hokker is almost in the clear, and is eager to fight again. Advertisement "I think I'll be good to go in October, November," Hooker said. "I think Gaethje is just going to sit and wait for another title shot. It would be silly to come and fight another contender, but that's what's so interesting about the division now. The title is moving, and over the next couple of months there's going to be a lot of movement in the division. It's good." Hooker expects Gaethje to sit out and campaign for a title shot against the newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, making the re-booking of their fight unlikely, at least for the time being. Ideally, Hooker woould like to fight Arman Tsarukyan, also a top contender in the division. "Arman has been calling me out, and that's the No. 1 contender," Hooker said. "No one likes the guy, so I'd just like to kick his teeth in." Tsarukyan is one of the tougher fights in the division, and considered by many the best grappler in the weight class. "Mine was exciting, the (Mateusz) Gamrot fight, because I was able to get up. If they can just hold you down and make it a boring fight, then that's my fault. Gonzalo Garcia's header powers Real Madrid past Juventus 1-0 and into Club World Cup quarterfinals
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Breakout tournament star Gonzalo García scored his third goal of the Club World Cup to power Real Madrid past Juventus 1-0 in the round of 16 on Tuesday afternoon and into the quarterfinals. García has started all four of Real Madrid's matches because of a gastrointestinal illness to star striker Kylian Mbappé. The 21-year-old broke a second-half tie with a header in the 54th minute, giving him a goal contribution in every match of the tournament. García subbed out in the 68th as Mbappé checked in , making his Club World Cup debut after he was briefly hospitalized with the illness. He missed Real Madrid's three group stage matches. García's header Tuesday came after Real Madrid had forced Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio into consecutive spectacular saves in the opening minutes of the second half. It was an incredible performance from the Italian goalie, whose 10 saves kept the match close. It was a scoreless and evenly contested first half, the first time either team had been held without a goal in the opening half of a match in the tournament. Both sides had chances, including Randal Kolo Muani's effort that went over the bar seven minutes in and Federico Valverde's shot that was denied by Di Gregorio before the end of the half. But Real Madrid overwhelmed Juventus in the second half, finishing with 11 shots on target to 2. There were loud cheers from the 62,149 fans at Hard Rock Stadium when Mbappé came into the game. Many were wearing his jersey and yelling 'Mbappé! Mbappé!'
