It's Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) funeral in Emmerdale this week, and it sparks the return of Cara (Carryl Thomas), his mum.
Nate was murdered by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) last year, but his body in the lake was only found fairly recently.
A devastated Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has attempted to process the news, but he's faced abuse from Nate's partner Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) at the same time, who believes that Cain killed his own son.
As a result of this, Tracy has banned Cain from the funeral.
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) stepped in to try and help the situation, but Tracy misinterpreted what she said at one point and believed that Belle was accusing her of killing Nate. In a state of anger once more, Tracy banned the entire Dingle family.
This week, John spends the lead up to the funeral panicking. He tries to persuade Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) not to attend, but he's adamant they need to go and pay their respects.
In one last ditch attempt to change things, Aaron wonders if John can get Tracy to change her mind about the Dingles attending the funeral. He begrudgingly appeals to Tracy, but isn't successful.
In the pub, Nate's memorial commences. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Cain channels his grief into anger and has another rant about Tracy. Just as Caleb (William Ash) manages to get his brother to relax, Cara enters, and she is furious to see Cain looking so jovial.

The next day, Tracy is unnerved to see DS Walsh outside the church hours before the funeral. As the hearse approaches, Tracy notices the Dingle family behind. More Trending
As chaos ensues between both parties, John makes an emotional appeal for a truce, but then gets roped into doing the eulogy instead of Tracy.
Aware of Walsh's presence, John struggles under the pressure.

Sarah Michelle Gellar addresses 'feud' with ex co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt

Sarah Michelle Gellar is setting the record straight after fans speculated that tensions might be brewing between her and former co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. Two days after the red carpet premiere of the I Know What You Did Last Summer revival on July 14, eagle-eyed fans noted the absence of any photos featuring Gellar and Hewitt together, despite both being central to the franchise. The apparent snub sparked a wave of social media speculation, with users questioning whether the original scream queens had fallen out. X user @britneyvinyl wrote: 'I'm so sad Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze Jr. did not take a photo together at the 'I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER' (2025) world premiere. What happened there?!' @itsjordanapps posted: 'Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt not posing together at the IKWYDLS premiere… we need to open an investigation' @mich_dev chimed in: 'I'm unreasonably mad that Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't take a picture with Jennifer Love Hewitt on the red carpet of the I Know What You Did Last Summer premiere.' But according to Gellar, there's no mystery and definitely no feud. 'For everyone asking — I never got to see @jenniferlovehewitt, who is fantastic in the movie,' Gellar wrote on July 16 in response to comments on her Instagram post recapping the premiere. 'I was inside with my kids when the big carpet happened. And unfortunately JLH didn't come to the after party.' Gellar, who shares two children with her husband and original I Know What You Did Last Summer co-star Freddie Prinze Jr., added that the chaotic nature of red carpet events meant she missed the chance to snap photos with much of the cast. 'If you have ever been to one of these it's crazy,' she wrote. 'I sadly didn't get pics with most of the cast. But that doesn't change how amazing I think they all are. Unfortunately, some things happen only in real life and not online.' The new film sees Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. reprise their iconic roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson, while the next generation of Southport locals – played by Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Sarah Pidgeon, Jonah Hauer-King, and Tyriq Withers – face off against the infamous hook-wielding killer. This isn't the first time Gellar and Hewitt have had to shut down speculation about their relationship. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Back in December, Hewitt addressed longstanding rumors that she had Gellar's character written out of the franchise: 'I was 18. They were not taking script notes from me,' Hewitt joked during an episode of the I've Never Said This Before podcast. More Trending 'All of us were in that experience together, figuring it all out and everything. And I root for her and Freddie.' She added: 'I think it's the cutest thing in the world that they've been married for 100 years and have kids. It's adorable.' So, despite the photo gap on premiere night, both stars have made it clear: there's no bad blood, just a case of bad timing. Got a story? Liam Gallagher's secret 'health kick' drink fuelling his incredible sounding voice for Oasis tour

Oasis fans say it's the best Liam's voice has sounded since the nineties as the Gallagher brothers are currently performing across the UK on their reunion tour. Liam Gallagher has been making sure to regularly drink one liquid to keep his voice in check while performing on the Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. The 52-year-old, who used to be a heavy boozer on tour, emerged on stage during one of the band's Heaton Park gigs in Manchester at the weekend holding a glass of apple cider vinegar tea. ‌ Fans have been praising Liam's vocals since the tour kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, with some saying it is the best he's sounded since the nineties. Gallagher has previously spoken about drinking the vinegar concoction, which is mixed with honey, to help his voice, The Sun reports. ‌ He said: "I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. Apparently, it's great for everything. Mam has it for arthritis and it's really good for her. ‌ "So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. "It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem - Hashimoto's disease - so I can get a really hoarse voice. ‌ "It makes you tired and your bones are creaky, but you have this drink and it makes you a bit Jumping Jack Flash." He continued: "It's very f*****g boring, it doesn't get you pissed, but you can have other stuff as well." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Liam and older brother Noel reunited on stage for the first time in fifteen years earlier this month when they kicked off their Oasis Live 25 tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The pair have played a total of five dates on their UK tour so far, with their final two nights at Heaton Park coming this weekend on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 of July after five shows in their home city of Manchester. ‌ The Gallagher brothers next stop on their tour after Heaton Park is London's Wembley Stadium where they will play another five shows on July 25, 26 and 30 and August 2 and 3. Oasis will play three nights in the Capital on Friday August 8, Saturday August 9 and Tuesday August 12. Shock Emmerdale exit as villain's disturbing plot against Kim Tate takes terrifying twist

EMMERDALE has aired a shock exit for villain Dr Crowley as his plot for Kim Tate took an unexpected twist. The doctor - who is played by actor James Hillier in the ITV soap - has been driven out of the village after trying to blackmail Joe into helping him steal money from millionaire Kim. 2 Kim was left seemingly helpless before turning the tables on him Credit: ITV 2 Crowley bit off more than he could chew by taking on Kim Credit: ITV He planned to have Joe drug her, and then transfer the money from her accounts to his before fleeing - but Kim had other ideas. However as Crowley thought he had the upper hand with a paralysed Kim forced to tell him her bank details, he really had no idea who he was dealing with. As he leaned in to try and hear what she was saying more clearly, Kim stabbed him with his own needle and revealed her own plan. While Joe had before been trying to find a way out of it - he did and realised that he could just tell Kim the truth and ignore Crowley's blackmail. He filled her in and she did what she did best and took matters into her own hands. With Shaun already well-aware of just how dangerous Kim could be, she made him realise that he should be on her side. And when he got Crowley into Home Farm, it was all at Kim's behest. Drugged on the bed, Kim interrogated Crowley before giving him a chilling warning. She told him: 'If you even try to mess with us again, they'll never find your body. Nothing personal, it's purely business.' Later, still shaken, Kim took Joe to task after he ensured Crowley and Shaun was out of their lives for good. Emmerdale villain returns to torture Joe Tate in grisly scenes 'Kim I am so sorry,' he told her. 'He drugged me, I was terrified. I've never been so helpless in my life. I would never have let him hurt you.' But Kim told him: 'I'm sorry Joe but I'm struggling to believe a single word you say anymore.' Darkest soap storylines Over the years the likes of EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock... EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) - Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca's adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police. Emmerdale: Holly's drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) - In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale's first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose. Hollyoaks: Luke's rape (2000) - Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap's first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs - who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance. Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) - Just a mere mention of 'Richard Hillman' is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it's not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn't. You brought him into our lives and once again it's me who had to pay the price. The first man I met after Will. I let my guard down and look what happens. It took a long time for me to trust you and now we're back at square one.' 'This will never happen again,' said Joe, promising to rebuild their trust.
