The men's singles final at Wimbledon will see the two best players in the world battle for the second consecutive grand slam.
Last month, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz played out a thrilling battle at the French Open last month, with the latter fighting back from two sets down.

Alcaraz earned the chance to defend his SW19 title after beating Taylor Fritz 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (6) on Friday. In the second semi-final, Sinner needed just an hour and 55 minutes to end ailing Novak Djokovic's title dreams, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.

How to watch the Wimbledon men's final on TV and streaming in the UK
The BBC is broadcasting the event on BBC One and iPlayer. Clare Balding will lead the presenting team and she will be joined by the likes of John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, Tracy Austin, Tim Henman and Annabel Croft.

TNT Sports also has the rights to show the men's final. Nick Kyrgios will provide 'watchalong' punditry. Studio coverage is fronted by Craig Doyle, with Alastair Eykyn providing lead commentary. Kyrgios will be joined by fellow players CoCo Vandeweghe and Dan Evans in what appears to be a lively analyst line-up.

ESPN has the rights to show 140-plus hours of coverage from Wimbledon in the United States after they signed a 12-year agreement to broadcast the event.

Soaked Scheffler battles elements to make solid British Open start
World number one Scottie Scheffler blamed wild weather conditions for his wayward driving, but the American still shot a three-under-par first round at the British Open to sit one shot off the lead on Thursday. Scheffler made headlines on the eve of the tournament when he said his life was "not a fulfilling" one despite his status at the top of the sport. The 29-year-old said the "euphoric feeling" from winning a golf tournament lasts barely a few minutes before he moves onto his next target. Scheffler said he has received nothing but support from the rest of the field over his comments. "At times I feel like maybe I should be a little less honest. Maybe I shouldn't have said the stuff I said yesterday because now I'm going to get asked about it more," he added. "But really it's just a matter of perspective, and I've had some players come up to me and say that they feel and think the same things. Ons Jabeur is taking a hiatus from the women's tennis tour, with the three-time major runner-up saying Thursday she wants to 'rediscover the joy of simply living.' Once ranked No. 2 on the WTA Tour, Jabeur has battled injuries in recent years and has fallen to her current No. 71. The 30-year-old from Tunisia retired because of difficulty breathing during her first-round match at Wimbledon, where she reached the final in 2022 and 2023, and won't be playing as the hard-court swing begins. 'For the past two years, I've been pushing myself so hard, fighting through injuries and facing many other challenges,' Jabeur wrote on Instagram. "But deep down, I haven't felt truly happy on the court for some time now. 'Tennis is such a beautiful sport. But right now, I feel it's time to take a step back and finally put myself first: to breathe, to heal, and to rediscover the joy of simply living.' Jabeur also was the U.S. Open runner-up in 2022, becoming the first woman since Serena Williams in 2019 to reach the final at Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows in the same year.
